I just finished reading Loving Her Cowboy Crush (Caruthers Siblings Of FootHills Book 2) by Rose Verde . This is a wonderful and entertaining romance of two “old flames” who have been separated by many years who rekindle their attraction. However, but both share secrets that could keep them apart. This is a clean, Christian story that is not only fun to read but has some thought provoking values as well. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a wholesome tale.
Rose Verde has a way with words. Walker and Amity were good friends, well, he really wanted to be more but was afraid of ruining their friendship. Taking her twin sister’s place at Walker’s sister’s wedding brings them back together. As usual failure to communicate throws a big monkey wrench into the works. I can depend on Rose to bring an interesting story line, fascinating characters, humor, romance and lot of miscommunication or no communication problems. I found I didn’t want to stop reading until they actually talked to each other.
This story we get to learn about the relationship between Amity & Walker. Amity has a concerning issue that other men have not wanted to contend with so she doesn’t trust men. How will Walker handle things? Get the book to find out. A gripping story. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review.
This book pulled me right into the story immediately with its wonderful characters. There is a strong willed and brave, Amity, who has polycystic kidney disease. She has a twin named Adriana. Amity is a surgical resident who has had a lot to deal with and has had her heart broken twice.
Walker was a tall, sexy cowboy who was a bull rider and is working on turning his ranch into a dude ranch. His sister is getting married there over Christmas and Amity’s sister is one of the bridesmaids but Amity needed to fill in until her sister could arrive at the ranch.
The story was full of rekindled feelings, second chances, heartache, love, and both Amity’s and Walker’s faith in God which was a big part of the story. It was an emotional story too which drew me right in. The Christmas wedding was beautiful. I really like this series and I cannot wait to read the next book! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Rose Verde, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. This book is a great friendship to love book where Amity and Walker have had crushes on each other since Junior High School ten years ago. When she moved away with her parents after high school, they didn’t keep in touch. Walker got married but lost his wife and their unborn child in an auto accident that he survived. Amity along with several high school friends arrive at Walker’s ranch to help his sister get ready for her wedding. While there, Amity and Walker rekindle their friendship. When Walker wants more Amity holds back because of a secret she is afraid to reveal. What is the secret, and can love overcome anything when that secret is revealed? You will have to read the book to find out. I recommend this book as a great Christian clean romance and well worth the time to read it.
Rose has done it again with this sweet cowboy romance.
Walker lost his wife to an accident, Amity is a kidney transplant survivor. Can they rekindle an old attraction and lay down their insecurities, or will fear be the wedge that keeps them apart?
This is another sweet read, perfect for a sunny day read.
I was given an ARC by the author and this is my honest opinion.
When Dr. Amity King agrees to stand in for her sister, Dr. Adrianna King, as a “temporary” bridesmaid, she comes face to face with Walker Caruthers, a man she has long had a crush on. The years have passed and Walker is a widower, not looking for anyone, but there is a big attraction when Amity arrives for his sister’s wedding. Amity is falling for Walker all over again, but she has had a kidney transplant and is very afraid of her future. Having been left by two men because of her health, she doesn’t tell Walker about her situation and tries hard to keep a relationship from developing. Meanwhile, Walker cannot understand her withdrawal. But eventually the truth becomes known and reveals just what kid of person Walker really is.
This is a beautifully written story about two people with great obstacles to overcome if they are to be together. I thoroughly enjoyed this wholesome and entertaining novel and highly recommend it.
Sleep? Who needs it? Especially when you have the next Caruthers Sibling book! Oh, wow. I really enjoyed Ronnie and Marc in Loving Her CowBoy Enemy. In Loving Her Cowboy Crush, Ronnies’ friend Amity, and her brother Walker are helping them prepare for Ronnie and Marcs’ wedding. It was so much fun watching Walker and Amity renew their friendship AND their crush. The best part, though, was watching them both learn a deeper trust of their Savior, as well as watching them fall in love with each other as they discover together just how deeply their Savior loves them. As always, my heart was encouraged and refreshed as I read this beautiful story. And I am now dying for the NEXT book in the series!
Rose Verde writes great, sweet, heartwarming romances. Loving Her Cowboy Crush is only the second in this series but I have loved both of them. walker and Amity have crushed on each other for ten years, but neither one has been willing to risk their great friendship by asking for more. They both have secrets they are hiding, but if they can get to honest communication and trust in God, there is hope heir friendship can turn to love. Come take the journey with them. You will not be disappointed!
Walker and Amity were friends and they each had a secret crush on each other. It’s been many years since they have seen each other but when they do, they both realize their feelings have not changed but are still just as strong. Will his reason for not telling her how he feels still keep them apart – or does he think he has a new reason? She is basically married to her job – does she have time for a romance? I so enjoyed seeing how they feel right back into being friends – like no time had passed. He was so sweet and you can see how much he loves her. Loved the ending.
