I want to marry Spencer Cross when I grow up
I absolutely loved this book from the very first page to the last page without question…. The love of Spencer Cross and Delilah Hart was just spectacular and so beautifully written!
My favorite part was how the story begins when they are children and takes us through adolescence and adulthood. We get to learn so much about them and the awful life they lived as children and the incredible bond they formed in spite of it. Delilah has known from a very young age that she wants to become Mrs. Spencer Cross and the way she goes about it – going to Spencer at different points in the story for what she needs was just fucking priceless! She knows he will always give her what she wants and needs because he is head over heels in love with her. Lucky girl that she is…..
Spencer Cross is one of the swooniest, most loving, absolutely beautiful and just down right sexiest book boyfriends out there and I will love him forever!
“You’re mine Delilah. MINE. I don’t want anyone touching you. “Tell me who you belong to” I cried out when he stopped and pulled out of me entirely. “Do you hear me Delilah? Tell me who you belong to.”……. “I need to know for sure, need to have the memory of you saying the words”
These two characters will forever hold a special place in my heart! I won’t lie to y’all I have read this book at least three times, maybe four including this last time, it is one of my all time favorites!!!! Thank you Ms. Fox for bringing these beautiful characters into my life.
Delilah and Spencer have been each others rock since she came home from the hospital after her birth. Afraid of such a little person, he tried to avoid her, but she had him the first time she grabbed his hand. They have always shared a special bond. No one is surprised that they are always together. It seems the only person who has trouble with it is Spencer. Since he started noticing the changes Delilah has gone through, it has been really “hard” to be around her. She has always been a huge part of his life, but now she seems to be in every waking thought, every dream, and wish. Spencer tries to avoid her but it only makes things worse. How can he be with her when he isn’t good enough?
Delilah is trying to be patient and wait out when Spencer will be ready, but she has been waiting her whole life. This man owns her heart, body, and soul. She just needs to have a taste.
When a taste isn’t enough, things are hard to deal with. Past and present crash through the bubble that Delilah was in and break her heart. She has to live with the crushing pain and no source to end it. Surprises are popping up everywhere and it makes it just a bit harder that everyone else is flying in their happiness while she’s drowning in despair.
Will Spencer realize just what love is worth or will he continue to punish them both? Will Delilah come clean about her news? What could Marceline want?
From the very first book, I knew I had to read Delilah’s story. Her love with Spencer was a special love. I couldn’t wait to read this story.
