Texas Christmas Romance
This is a lovely sweet and clean romance. It is a historical western second chance romance. I loved the story. Although the reader could guess the ending from the start, getting there is all the fun. I received this book for free and this is my honest opinion.
This was a great story. I loved seeing how Clara’s story played out. She was a strong woman who had a lot going against her. Hans was a man of integrity and who never stopped loving Clara. The chemistry was great between the two. Their story was tender and sweet, yet both had to overcome their insecurities. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys sweet clean romance with a little mystery.

After meeting her again he still wants to marry her. But will she give him the chance to make himself and her family happy?
I really loved this story, such a enjoyable characters.
I recommend all the books by this author.
Loving a Toymaker is a well-written beautiful love story. Hans and Clara make a sweet couple that get a second chance at romance after Clara’s no-good husband dies. Kristen Iten puts the reader right into the story: I turned my electric heater on when reading the scene with freezing rain! The plot moves along at a perfect pace. There’s a soul-satisfying HEA. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review of this endearing romance.

This book will keep you reading. You will not be able to put it down. Twists and turns from beginning to end. Well thought out characters and plot. Will Clara and Hans get their HEA? You won’t want to miss this one!
I received an ARC of this book. I am choosing to leave an honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.
A story full of sadness, fear, desperation, defeat, hope, love and finally triumph. A young pregnant mother of six children under 9 years old finds herself widowed after her no good husband falls off his horse drunk coming home one night and rolled into a revine. When he is found he was dead. His drinking has always left the responsibility of caring for his family to his wife and they are showing the lack of food by how thin they are. After his death, she received a loan letter from the bank and it brings fear that the only thing she thought belonged to her was their farm.
The young family makes the 4 hour wagon ride to Sweet Water to talk to the banker. When they stopped to visit her new friend Rosie she met a few weeks earlier, the carpenter Hans that was working on some repairs to her home recognizes Clara as the woman he asked to marry him 9 years ago. Clara was forced to decide back then between Clive who had some money or Hans who had no money as to who she should marry. She loved Hans but her father told her love would not support a family, so she married Clive. Once married things changed due to Clive’s drinking and gambling.
When the family returns home with the bad news from the bank, they find their home has been ransacked and her flour for their food poured out on the floor. They are visited that night and threatened. She finds out that her husband had a secret and she and her family will be held responsible for his deeds. She also finds out that if you allow friends to help, you will not need to carry your burden alone.
When Hans feels the need to protect Clara and her children he brings them to his home in town to keep them safe as he has never stopped loving Clara. But will the town’s biggest mouth scare her away from Hans, or will her husband’s secret catch up to them? Clara must start to believe that God works in mysterious ways and stop trying to punish herself for her decision 9 years ago.
This story is a very good Christian romance with a touch of suspense. I highly recommend this series and this is book 3 of Lone Star Love Stories.
