A grumpy groomsman. A surprise shipwreck. Stuck on a deserted island together? Worst maid-of-honor gig ever. From the NYT bestselling author of A Nordic King comes an all-new standalone romantic comedy.
Daisy Lewis is experiencing a relentless string of bad luck.
Fortunately, Daisy has her sister’s destination wedding coming up. A week of sand, sea, and sun in the South Pacific as the … sun in the South Pacific as the maid-of-honor is exactly what Daisy needs to forget her upturned life and focus on the positive.
That is until Daisy meets the best man.
If you take tall, dark, and handsome, and add a dash of rugged, a pinch of brooding, and a whole lot of sexy, you’ve got Tai Wakefield. Unfortunately he’s also a major grump, total alpha, and seemingly out to antagonize Daisy at every turn.
As if being part of the wedding party with Tai wasn’t bad enough, Daisy’s bad luck soon resurfaces when she ends up on a cramped sailboat with Tai and the newlyweds.
Which then shipwrecks on a deserted island near Fiji.
Okay, so they aren’t completely alone. There’s an oddball research scientist who has been isolated for far too long, they have rundown bungalows as shelter, stores of water and canned food, plus a feral goat named Wilson.
It’s Lost…without the smoke monster.
But with rescue weeks away, Tai and Daisy realize the only way they’re going to get through this mess is to stop fighting and start working together.
And with their guards down, they get closer.
A lot closer.
Soon, Daisy realizes that the only thing worse than being stuck on a deserted island, is being stuck on a deserted island with a man she hates to love and loves to hate.
A man that can break her heart.

Lovewrecked by Karina Halle was just what the doctor ordered; a hate-to love contemporary romance filled with laughs and sexy moments!
Daisy’s life isn’t quite going how she’d planned. She’s heading to New Zealand for her sister’s wedding whom she has an estranged relationship with. Arriving at the airport is like a new world. That’s where she meets the most grumpiest hero that I’ve ever read… and he just so happens to be the best man for her sister’s wedding.
Tai was truly special, you guys. Yes, he was grouchy, brooding, and didn’t smile much but underneath that tough exterior laid a man filled with pain and so much loss. He loathe feeling one ounce of attraction towards Daisy. He saw her as this selfish and self-centered woman. Meanwhile, Daisy lets her light shine through. She remains positive and happy no matter what is thrown her way.
I truly loved these two characters!! Their fights, their bickering back and forth. It was exasberating and simply kept me glued to the pages. A slow burn that takes a lot out of you, but the end result is so worth it. And of course, let’s not forget the main premise of the story, our characters get stranded on a deserted island after their sail boat crashes during a storm. The island brings them many adventures including meeting a goat named Wilson.
Lovewrecked was entertaining to boot! If I could gift this book to everyone, I would. It broke the monotony of everyday life, especially the times we’re living in right now, provided the perfect escape, and reignited my desire to take a tropical vacation myself one day .
Lovewrecked quickly became a favorite read!! I didn’t want to put it down for one second!
This is one of Karina Halle’s best books, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The characters, the setting, the steamy chemistry and gorgeous blossoming love between Tai and Daisy, were utterly captivating. I started and finished this in a day! Absolutely LOVED it.
Well this book was just ADORABLE. I am so glad I picked it up finally. I love me a grumpy hero and Tai was the perfect one. I really felt for Daisy, she tried so hard for so many years to keep it together, always looking at the bright side of things. Sometimes, you just break and that is ok. It is OK to not be OK. I feel this deep to my soul. This was such a fun read and I loved the two of them together!
Entertaining, sexy, and sweet! Lovewrecked was filled with fun characters, awesome animosity and bickering with fantastic building heat. I was smiling the entire time!
A beautiful read. I can’t tell you how proud I was to know this book was based in New Zealand as well as Fiji and the South Pacific Seas! Represent! As a genuine Polynesian girl, who spends a lot of time in NZ, this book made me miss home.
This was exactly the getaway I needed while stuck in isolation. I love anything island based, I am obsessed with the beach and addicted to Tai Wakefield. It’s not what you expect at first because there is actually a lot going on in this book, but it was written so beautifully, topped off with sexual chemistry and a romance that blossomed from unfortunate events.
Take a much needed holiday without even leaving your bed!
First off, I have to thank Valentine PR for my signed copy of this awesome book. I love Karina Halle so I was super excited to have won this! Lovewrecked was what I expected but even more. It was filled with so much more than I anticipated. It was more than just a romance – it concentrated on family ties, especially on the sibling relationships.
Karina did a wonderful job with being descriptive. The way she described being on a boat that size made me feel like I was on that boat. I think she did a fabulous job with the setting and getting the reader to imagine just that. I felt like it was a movie running through my head.
I loved Tai. He was the perfect combination between alpha and vulernable. I loved Daisy’s character because she was sassy, witty, and strong. Karina did a wonderful job showing how vulernable such a strong sassy character can be.
Lovewrecked is exactly what I needed. I really needed an escape from the world. This book was so good that I finished it all in one day. I didn’t want to put it down. Karina always seems to capture my attention with her stories and writing!

5 STARS
I LOVED this book SO much. There is something about a couple stranded on an island together that I just love. It was a beautiful escape of all the heavy in the world right now that I absolutely needed!
Daisy is sweet, fun and loveable. She is confident and quirky and despite being burned badly recently she makes the most of a bad situation.
Tai is the gorgeous grumpy best man at Daisy’s sisters wedding. There were elements of mystery to him that I needed more of. He really gives Daisy a hard time upon first meeting. The banter between these two I couldn’t get enough of. They poke at each other and they definitely have the enemies to lovers vibe going on. There was a ton of sexual tension I could feel it burning off the pages! Their chemistry and passion for one another was so addicting. Be prepared. This is an EPIC slow burn but once they connect it is oh so steamy and explosive!
I have to say it this COVER is absolutely stunning. It is one of my favourites EVER! The sexy couple on the front and that pink and purple sunset on the water? JUST GORGEOUS!! I rarely pick a book by its cover alone but this one is just so stunningly beautiful that I can definitely say I was drawn to it before I even read the blurb.
Karina is a talented writer. She creates such beautiful settings that I am instantly drawn to and this one made me want to transport myself into it. This book is a delicious beach read perfect for summer and urge you to pick it up ASAP if you haven’t yet.
I absolutely loved this book! In this Covid time of confinement it was exactly what I needed. I laughed out loud various times. This story containes many emotions I reflected upon in my own life. It’s inspired me to look to the future and that there will be a light at the end of this tunnel. This was my first book by Karina Halle and to my delight, she is the author of many more!
NO SPOILERS!
I really enjoyed Tai and Daisy’s sexy, emotional, and adventurous story in Lovewrecked. Maybe not one of my favorite romances from Karina Halle, but still very enjoyable and entertaining. I can’t wait to read what she releases next!
Karina Halle brings something unique and something refreshing in her love stories every single time. And that makes it an adventure of the lifetime. Lovewrecked moved me from inside. And this is an excellent example of how powerful and inspiring a romance can be!
Daisy always has hidden her pain behind forced positivity. But between losing her long term job and catching her cheating boyfriend, she is coming apart. Now she has to attend her judgemental and resentful sister’s wedding in New Zealand alone. Where she meets Tai. Her brother in laws grumpy best friend who has already formed a twisted opinion about her. They are certainly not at enough good terms to go on a sailing expedition together to Fiji with the newlyweds. A storm comes. They get stranded. And in the wild comes out all the ugly, life changing, soul cleansing and deep truths.
This story dissects human relationships from a lot of different aspects. Like Lacey ( Daisy ‘s nerdy and more successful sister) and her husband Richard. Like Tai and Daisy. Like Daisy and Lacey. Like the castaways and inhabitants of the island. Tai has suffered loss and experienced death and he doesn’t let himself feel. Daisy feels too much but clams up when it comes to being open. They are so wrong for each other but they have this magnetic pull. The nature provided more than background for this story. Rather it was another character contributing to the intricate dynamics. This story made me feel so exposed..so open and so motivated. It reminded me how much we forget to appreciate in everyday life and until we are stripped off of the modern amenities, we don’t remember our humanity.
Lovewrecked by Karina Halle made me pause. A long one. It was such a brilliant saga of peace, redemption and second chances. Full of sexy, funny, intense and special emotions.

Daisy has had a string of bad luck lately but she is headed to New Zealand to her sister’s wedding. She is picked up by the grouchy best man. This book is smart, funny, and so entertaining.
When Daisy, the best man, bride and groom get shipwrecked on an island things go crazy.
Great Read!
Another well written book by Karina Halle. This book will transform you to a different place. It’s fun but emotional
Lovewrecked, Karina Halle’s latest offering is the perfect escape from reality when the real world is turned upside down due to Covid-19! It’s the kind of story that will make you laugh out loud one minute and then get your heart racing with worry the next. It’s funny, sexy and emotional and you’ll fall in love with all of the quirky characters.
Daisy is ever the eternal “optimist” and happy-go-lucky girl. She’s feisty and funny and I loved her internal dialogue with herself. Tai is broody and has walls built so high around himself that he doesn’t let anyone new in. These two have a love-hate relationship and their banter is spot on. Halle builds their sexual chemistry slowly and by the time these two give in to their feelings, things are explosive. Daisy’s sister Lacey and her new husband Richard kept me in stitches. But it was Fred and Wilson that pushed me over the edge. They were HILARIOUS!!! All of these unconventional, eccentric characters combined to create the perfect cast to entertain.
Halle uses many fun references to pop culture peppered throughout and being stranded on “dick island” was reminiscent of Lost and Castaway with a healthy mix of Gilligan’s Island for good measure. She nailed the humor and in today’s quarantined world, the ability of the characters to reassess their priorities and look inward while being stranded really was spot on. All of the characters were well developed but truly transform and evolve by the end of the story. Halle executed this perfectly. I truly adored everything about this story! 4 1/2 stars
Lovewrecked is an amazing read. I love Daisy. Even with everything she has gone through and goes through she still has this amazing strength even at her most vulnerable times. I love her honesty and how she reconnects with her sister. Tai is just grumpy yet you will totally swoon for him the more you get to know him. You will love the banter between Tai and Daisy. How can you not love a stranded on an island romance? This has that sparkle that will make you want to go to the tropics. They have this chemistry that you are just waiting to explode. Lovewrecked is a fun and witty read that you will not want to put down.
Lovewrecked by Karina Halle is a beautifully written story filled with humor and emotion, shipwrecks and heat, danger and honesty. The roundabout story of Daisy Lewis and Tai Wakefield, how they met, why they were shipwrecked together and how much fun a desert island really can be – especially when there is a random goat popping in at the most inopportune of times. Daisy is viewed as the lucky one by her family – sails by on her smile and charm and gets everything handed to her. Except she just got her boyfriend cheating on her with her co-worker on top of being laid-off recently all handed to her in one big sloppy package. Add in a trip to New Zealand in a week for her sister’s upcoming wedding and she’s all kinds of all over the place.
With a terrible run-in with the best man at the airport, a weird and drunken wedding night, and the sudden challenge to join her sister, her new husband, and the best man on their sail to Fiji for the honeymoon and she finds herself on a boat, for ten days, with three people who barely seem to tolerate her. So. Not. Fun. Except there’s a reason Tai is so cold with her – he’s doing his best to keep his distance lest she get too close. but she tempts him more than anyone has before. Even when an unfortunate accident causes their boat to crash into a coral reef and they have to escape to the safety of the small island nearby.
A wonderful read. perfect for the summer and the isolation of this current pandemic. Loved it! Enjoy!
This 5 star story was more of an adventure then anything else. Karina writes about the best places I would love to visit. A page turning adventure.
Daisy goes to New Zealand for her sisters wedding. Tai is the grooms best friend. Daisy and Tai can’t stand each other. They will have to sail across the ocean with the newlyweds. Things are going to get very interesting.
This story consumed me from the first page to the last one. It was a romantic/adventure full of intrigue and entertainment. It was funny at times. And other times it kept me on the edge of my seat. The places she writes about feels like we are there. It’s like going on a trip without leaving my home. I loved these amazing characters that made this story so much more exciting. This is a must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
A light read with very little angst. The uplifting theme is what we all need at a time like this, inspirational with enough steam and spiciness.
Add a broody hero who loves dirty talk and a redhead who’s trying to keep it all together, you have a deep connection that can withstand the mightiest of storms.
I read this on the recommendation of a fellow blogger and am so happy I gave it a go. Karina Halle is a new author to me and I liked the alternating points of view, character growth, and originality of the story line. Daisy, our heroine, is heading to her sister’s wedding from the US to New Zealand alone after a bad breakup, and meets our hero, Tai, who is also the best man. They get off to an awkward, tension-filled start and you know there is an attraction brewing…He was broody and witty, and she gave it right back to him!
What I liked about Lovewrecked is the characters are flawed and real, and they each have a past they are trying to work through and often misjudge each other. Daisy and her sister hold resentments from childhood towards one another, and only until the four of them become shipwrecked somewhere near Fiji do they all get much closer. I like the depth of character and reading how they try to work out their feelings and listen to the other’s point of view. I also liked reading how they tried to survive on the island and the researcher they encountered there.
When Daisy and Tai connect, I love how he makes her feel beautiful and special, and points out all of her good qualities, but just wished he opened up a little more about himself. He was so sexy as he captained the sailboat and could rough it on the island! The author mixes her writing style from humorous, to angsty, to adventurous, to very steamy, and kept me engaged the entire time. This was a romantic, sweet read with all the feels.
As stressful as the world is today, there are moments where I just want to escape in a light romance where angst is replaced with hilarious screw ups and love is one page away. The plot feels a little like Gilligan’s Island meets Lost, but instead of the Skipper, we have Tai, an experienced yacht owner, taking the wedding group on a small boat during a storm that just screams disaster in the making. Luckily, Karina Halle has created a romantic read that is quirky and funny without losing the real emotions of the characters.
There was just something about Daisy that I really liked and related to. Her life is far from perfect, a mess really, but she still knows how to put on her best poker face, try to push her problems aside, and open herself up to new experiences. She’s a cute, quirky, fun loving girl ready to celebrate her sister’s wedding in New Zealand. Now match this personality with a hot, standoffish, and bitter best man and you are guaranteed heated arguments, steamy moments, and a laugh or two.
Tai, the best man, appears slightly angsty but he is also a man suffering from a broken heart. I loved delving into his thoughts and understanding his inner struggle and pain. Daisy is the perfect match for this misunderstood soul. I loved the fights between these two because it is just a mask for the delicious heat that seems to surround them.
Lovewrecked is a romantic comedy with heart and it’s the perfect escape read.
