I read somewhere once that you only get one true love in a lifetime,And mine—mine was Wyatt Slade.Fierce, wild, reckless…that boy was my everything.Until he shattered my heart. He was my first. The day he slipped that promise ring on my finger,I gave him all of me—there was no going back.So when I saw him kiss my best friend, I knew I had to get the hell out.The thing about growing up in a … out.
The thing about growing up in a one-stoplight town,
When you finally come back home, everybody knows.
It feels like every corner here has a story—a memory.
One I’ve been running from for ten years.
But the moment my eyes land back on Wyatt,
It’s like I’ve fallen in love all over again.
A stolen kiss drenched in tequila sets off a firestorm,
One I’m not sure I’ll survive.
A decade spent running from my heart and here I am back in his arms,
Ready to embrace a new future, and let our past go.
I swore I’d never trust him again,
He swore he’d never hurt me again.
Never say never…

Good romance on a second chance
The story is well written, tender, hot, with good characters, but I was annoyed during a long part of the story, by the character of Destiny who denies what everyone explained to her. On the contrary, the character of Wyatt is more endearing by his tenacity.
He has a second chance after being left (by his fault) the day of the prom ball by Destiny at the end of high school. He never really recovered, but betrayal was very difficult for her. When she returns to help her father who’s sick, Wyatt and Destiny are confronted with their feelings again.

Awesome book!
I loved this book, but then again, I love every book by Alexis Winter. She never disappoints. I couldn’t put this book down and finished it in less than 2 days.
This story is well written, wonderfully sweet, heart-warming and definitely a little dirty.
The storyline is fast paced with drama, steam and well written characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed this highly entertaining read.

Another well written book by the author. The Slade brothers series is absolutely wonderful. Wyatt and Destiny are high school sweethearts. A drunken mistake and a unwillingness to forgive end the relationship. They go there separate ways, but fate brings them back together. Through doubts and a jealous woman trying to tear them about, their love survives.

I live Wyatt, though I do think he drinks too much. Kind of gets him into trouble. Wyatt and Destiny have a love that endures. They have their ups and downs, but deep down where it counts is their love. I couldn’t put this book down, I had to find out how they would end up.

drunken mistake
I really enjoyed this story because to me it was more of a possible setting that could really happen to a couple.
Wyatt only loved one woman.
Destiny only loved one man.
Everything they had going for them blew up because of one drunken mistake.
Even they were apart for 10 years they never stopped loving and caring about the other person.
Both of them back home in their small towns because each of their fathers got sick.
Small town, you knew they were bound to run into each other eventually.
Takes some serious and many hours/days getting everything straightened out..or so they thought.
All small towns have 1 or 2 people who make their lives a living hell.
Hope you enjoy the story and enjoy the outcome as much as I did.

A Love Written In The Stars –
I really loved this book. It was fun, sexy, engaging, entertaining, with witty banter, misunderstandings and a wonderful love story. Once I started reading the story, it was hard to put it down. I could not wait to see what the next page held. The plot line was quite delightful and I found myself rooting for Wyatt and Destiny to get their happily ever after. This is a well written story, with a captivating storyline and interesting characters. I highly recommend this book and I know you won’t be disappointed.

Loves Me NOT is book 4 in Alexis Winter’s Slade Brothers series. You do not have to read these books together to understand what’s going on but it would give you a better understanding of Wyatt going in.
This story revolves around Wyatt and and Destiny. First we get their backstory, they were high school sweethearts and on their way to a happy ever after. Then there is a “drunken mistake” and everything falls apart. Destiny runs off since she can’t be around Wyatt at all and tries to make her own path to happiness. Time passes and fate throws this pair back together, Wyatt is desperate for another chance and eventually Destiny.
This story is a bit predictable and I wasn’t a big fan of the opening backstory. The characters do redeem themselves and I became more sympathetic towards them as we learn more about them. It’s a good story overall but probably my least favorite in this series.
Wyatt Slade has loved Destiny Parker since their high school days. He had even planned to ask her to marry him. But at Prom, he got drunk and mistakenly kissed Julia, with Destiny witnessing the whole thing. Her trust shattered and she left, ignoring his attempts to contact her. They go their separate ways, she leaving for college and he getting work with rock bands as a roadie. Unfortunately, his wild activities were all documented on social media.
When Destiny returns home to help her mom after her dad’s stroke, she meets up with Wyatt who has also come home. He’s tired of the travel and the life he has been living on the road. He instead now works with his brothers at the brewery. As soon as they look into each other’s eyes, they know they are still in love. But will Destiny listen to him when he tells her again that the kiss she saw was a complete accident? After 10 years, is she ready to embrace a new future, and let the past go?
This was a good story line. But with both still feeling their love resurfacing, it’s a matter now of rebuilding the trust. It may take time and commitment, but it can come back even stronger. Will Destiny take the first step toward that second chance at a HEA? Grab your copy and see what kind of future they both will choose.
I loved reading Loves Me NOT by Alexis Winter because this is such a great series about the Slade Brothers. This particular story is about Wyatt and Destiny. They were high school sweet hearts, but a misunderstanding caused them to break up at prom. Wyatt finally comes home after being away for a while. Destiny comes comes to help her mama with her father. Wyatt is still in love with Destiny, he just needs to convince her that he does. Destiny and Wyatt are such a cute couple and Wyatt is so romantic. I highly recommend reading this book because it was a sweet and very steamy book about second chances!

I’m really enjoying this series and the Slade Brothers. I loved Wyatt and Destiny’s story. A captivating second chance romance that I didn’t want to put down. I anxiously await the next book in the series.
I’ve read the three previous books in this Slade Brothers Series and really enjoyed them. As much as I hate not giving a rave review for Book 4, I can’t. This story had potential and I’m not sure why the wheels fell off this one but it felt flat, drawn out and I was not truly engaged with the story. I think a big part of my problem with the book is the author used flashbacks to illustrate what the main characters went through to break them up as 17 and 18 year olds. Sometimes, a flashback or a story that moves between two time periods to develop the backstory works perfectly. Not so in this case. I also didn’t find Destiny remotely likeable even though Wyatt’s character was good and the secondary characters were familiar faces from the previous books in the series. I plan to read the next one in the series and I’m hoping for a return to the kind of writing I enjoyed in Books 1-3

An original, inspirational romance story. There were ups and downs for Destiny and Wyatt before they reached a happily ever after but it was well worth the journey. It could not have been better. I recommend Loves Me NOT by Alexis Winter.

Wyatt and Destiny were high school sweethearts and he had planned to propose to her on prom night but instead kisses her best friend when he is drunk. She breaks up with him and refuses to answer his calls and goes off to college while he goes on tour with a band. Years later she returns to help her mother take care of her father who has had a stroke at the same time that Wyatt returns. They run into each other and the attraction is as strong as ever but can she forgive him after all the years that has passed and have the one thing she always wanted.
Such a riveting story from start to finish. Destiny and Wyatt were high school sweethearts until a drunken mistake tears them apart. Years later, they meet again, and the chemistry and attraction is off the charts. The feelings that pour out of both characters are heart-wrenching and emotionally charged. I especially loved the flashbacks of both characters that helped to make the story more well-rounded so that we understood their present day relationships and feelings. This was a very entertaining book worth a read and a re-read!

Wyatt and Destiny are getting a second chance at the love that had gotten disrupted at the end of high school. After years of separation no has been able to replace each other in their lives. Family obligations bring them back to town at the same time and they are able to forgive and build a new path together. It is a steamy read filled with reminiscing of days gone by and a look into their bright future.
Another delightful romance with the Slade Brothers. Wyatt screws everything up with Destiny at their senior Prom and years later they both return to their home town at the same time. When they first run into each other after all the years Destiny is still not sure she can forgive Wyatt for the prom incident. They face some twists, turns and surprises to get their relationship where it used to be but they eventually do. They finally get everything together and have a happy ending.
