From New York Times Bestselling Authors Krista & Becca Ritchie, comes the next book in their sexy new contemporary romance series. Twenty-seven-year-old Farrow Keene lives by his actions, and his actions say he’s the best at whatever he does. As a 24/7 bodyguard and the new boyfriend to Maximoff Hale, protecting the headstrong, alpha billionaire has never been more complicated. And one rule … complicated. And one rule can’t be bent:
Keep your relationship secret from the public.
Farrow is confident he’s the best man for the job. But a twist in Maximoff’s fast-paced life sticks them with the rest of Security Force Omega and their clients.
On the road.
In a sleeper tour bus.
For four rocky months.
Sexual frustrations, check. Road trip drama, check. Awkward bonding, check.
But Farrow couldn’t have accounted for a high-risk threat (identity: unknown) that targets Maximoff before the ignition even turns. And it hits Farrow — someone has it out for the guy he loves.
Every day, Maximoff & Farrow’s feelings grow stronger, and together, they’ll either sink or swim.
The Like Us series is a true series, one continuous timeline, that follows a family of wealthy celebrities and the people that protect them. You must read Damaged Like Us, Book 1, before reading Lovers Like Us.

Did I expect to love this book after adoring the first in this series? YEP.
Did I love it even more than I thought I would? YEP.
So, so good. Marrow is my favorite.
Lovers Like Us is just as enjoyable and dramatic as the first book. The plot pushes forward and kind of does whatever it wants, and we readers are just along for the bizarre ride. The characters are wonderful and I fall more and more in love with them.
The audiobook is well done with a great dual narration.
OH this series. Farrow and Maximoff are truly one hell of a couple… THIS whole family is amazing.

Lovers Like Us is the second book in the Like Us series and the continuation of Maximoff and Farrow’s story. Like the first book i again enjoyed the world Krista and Becca Ritchie created with these characters. We see the deepening of Maximoff and Farrow’s relationship in this novel and I love that apart from Maximoff and Farrows relationship, the entire family and their bodyguards were included in the story. I just love this cast of characters as the bond between them all is so strong and they all greatly added to the story.
This book had it all, it was sweet, hilarious, emotional and steamy and I loved every minute of it. There were some twists and turns that had me speechless and I was hooked from beginning to end.
The audiobook version was narrated by J.F. Harding and Alexander Cendese. These two again did a marvelous job with the narration. They were able to create different voices for all the characters and their delivery was excellent. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.
Lovers Like Us was a fantastic read and an excellent addition to this series. I loved it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of MM romances.
I was more or less mesmerized by the the first installment, and I read Lovers like us the same way as it’s prequel. I devoured it.
But, like for most series that you read in a short span of time, you tend to learn the author’s writing style. You discover the repetitiveness or the recurring idiosyncrasies of the author. This was very much the case when I read Lovers like us.
Sometimes it’s a steamy read. I like steamy. But I soon got really tired of all the hot stares Maximoff and Farrow was giving each other. It was fuck me eyes, kiss me eyes and instant erections left and right (pun intended). I don’t know the number of times they were panting chest to chest and licking their lips and all sorts of descriptions meant to rise the temperature. Every interaction started as a freaking wrestling match with them fighting to pin the other one to the wall. All the time. Even when it didn’t go anywhere. If I never have to read another description of Farrow’s tattooed fingers, it would still be to soon. These recurring, supposedly sexy descriptions were exhausting to read about and happened way to often. It lowered the overall reading experience.
Also. First person writing where main characters describe themselves are seldom any good. Both Maximoff and Farrow tended to call certain parts of their own bodies muscular. On several occasions. There were more of those slip ups in the book. I hope they were slip ups anyway. Characters describing their own perfect physiques are just creepy. And narcissistic as all hell.
But otherwise, I truly enjoyed reading this story. I was a bit disappointed by the resolution of the stalker-issue. I thought it was a bit too easily resolved. Both dramaturgically and plot-wise. But in the end I’m so hooked on these two characters that it doesn’t matter. I’ve already started in on the third installment.

I’m so addicted to this series!! I can’t recommend this book highly enough!
Wow completely blown away by this one. The tension in this book was truly palpable. The chemistry, camaraderie and family scenes, bring this book to life.
I liked this book even more than the first one…I’ve appreciated the growth of Moffy and Farrow relationship and it’s so nice to see more of this family dynamics.
P.S. Charlie Cobalt is definetely not his dad…and that is not his fault because this world can take only one Connor Cobalt 😀
There was so much more to this book than just the love story between Moffy and Farrow! You get some very serious glimpses into Moffy’s relationship with Charlie. You get more looks at some of the other “kids”. It was really great to see more about Beckett and Luna!
This book was impossibly great! It was written from the POV of Moffy and Farrow. You got to see a lot more of the older kids in the family. There was so much love! A good amount of suspense. And of coarse there was some serious hotness! (and I am not just talking about what goes on between Farrow and Moffy) There are some very seriously hot bodyguards with these people, and they seem to like to have a lot of fun too, most of them are not too stuffy.
I absolutely FLOVED Lovers Like Us!!! There was love and passion overload (in the best way possible) .Now I cant wait for Alphas Like Us
4.5 stars
I am obsessed with the Addicted series, if you haven’t noticed already. Krista & Becca are phenomenal writers and have created such an amazing world with their series. What stands out the most are the diverse group of characters. In the Addicted series the amount of characters weren’t as high as the Like Us series. And you know what.. I LOVE IT! I love every damn character and their unique thinking and personalities. The authors do such a great job in surprising me each and every time with the actions of the characters. There is no DULL moment in their books. I enjoy each and every word they write. I don’t even need to read a blurb and I already know I am going to one-click the book.
Let’s get back to the actual book I am reviewing. Damaged Like Us didn’t end with a cliffhanger, which I appreciated. In this book the gang needs to do some major damage control and lower the media attention on their families. Maximoff, Jane, Sulli, Beckett, Charlie and their six bodyguards are going on tour. I really loved the setting of this book and the super fun time they had. The bodyguards are HILARIOUS! In this book we get to know them a little better. I don’t read a lot of MM romances, but I am kind of addicted to it because of DLU and LLU. The flirting and sex was so hot, I just couldn’t get enough. Farrow and Maximoff are one sexy couple. They are also very playful with each other and I love their banter. I also love that they both have their alpha moments. The development of their relationship is continuing in a very steady pace, and I love each moment. I loved the ending of this book, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.
6 *OMG, I need more* STARS
If there’s anything I know for sure about myself, it’s that in 99 out of 100 times, I won’t like the sequel as much as the first in the series. But, hey, look at that 1% right here! Lovers Like Us was just as much, if not even more, amazing as Damaged Like Us.
While in the first book Farrow and Maximoff were fighting to start their relationship, in this sequel they are fighting to stay together, despite all the unfortunate things life throws on them. There are many twists and turns, but it all goes fluently – just like these author know to do: they surprise us, big way, but you can’t stop and think because the story invites you to never stop reading. And it’s beautiful. Not only do we find out more about Maximoff and Farrow’s relationship, we also see more of their interactions with other characters – all of those you met and loved in the first book, you’ll see even more and love them even more now. And while I loved it all, I must admit moments of Marrow interaction were my favorite!
“I’m not worth it.”
“Yeah you are.” My eyes burn. I wake up every morning, and I’m more in love with him than the day before.
Their relationship is hard to have amidst all the chaos their lives bring. It’s difficult to maintain trust in the world they live in, yet, they try, because they find each other worth it. And even more, in the world where every vulnerable episode you show is weakness, we see these two beautiful men, being brave enough to be vulnerable for each other.
“I’m a guy with almost no fears, but there is one change I’m terrified to face.
I’m terrified of losing him.”
That trust and their love, I could feel it through every word of this book. As well as family trust, bonds between every siblings, cousins, parents, and then… also, bodyguards. People who are there to protect their clients, but also believe in them, encourage them… love them.
This is a story of truly beautiful people in the ugly world.
This is a story of overcoming your fears and learning that risks pay of.
This is a story of discovering that life is nothing without love.
This is a story of billionaires and their bodyguards.
A must-read! Recommended.
I love everything about this series and these men. I found myself laughing so much throughout this book and highly entertained.
Moffy and Farrow’s relationship continues to grow in this book and they continue to fall deeper and deeper in love with one another. It’s beautiful. Sexy. Heartwarming. Freaking HOT!
I love all the family interactions and all the scenes with them together, which is majority of the book, but that’s what makes this book so great. Even though this book is mainly based on Moffy and Farrow’s relationship, it’s also based on family.
I’m beyond excited to dive into, Alphas Like Us because after the ending this book just had, there’s gonna be some major changes coming and it’s gonna be HUGE!
I’m not sure how to write this. I have been in LOVE with this book world since Addicted to you. I have loved Lily and Loren throughout the entire series and now to get the second book of their oldest is just as amazing as their books.
Maximoff and Farrow love each other SO FUCKING HARD! You can feel it coming out of this story (and Damaged Like Us). I have loved Moffy since he was born. Watching him not only fall in love but to have that love given back to just as hard is overwhelming. There are times I feel like an old perv, but hot damn the sex these two have……
Really my review will not sway you. If you haven’t read the original series to understand the self imposed strain Moffy puts on himself, or the amazing parts with him and his dad and uncles you need to go read those. If you have read the original series and now onto book 2 of this one, you don’t need my recommendation. You know this will be and is an amazing love story.
Audible Review:
Overall 5*
Performance 4.5*
Story 5*
“Love! ”
If you could sum up Lovers Like Us in three words, what would they be?
Love. Family. Revelations.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Lovers Like Us?
That ending!!!
And when the stalker was revealed- that was completely and utterly unexpected!
What does Alexander Cendese and J.F. Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I know I say this about most narrators, but these 2 really brought Farrow and Moffy to life! They were great about bringing all the emotion and depth to the characters that I loved.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I want to know what’s happening next and it’s always hard to turn off when my drive to and from work is over. I have a hard time concentrating when I’m listening at home so I normally don’t, but I *needed* to finish the last few chapters of this one over the weekend so I made myself really focus!
Any additional comments?
I love Moffy and Farrow so much! I think this was a great series for me to choose to listen to before I read it, which is what I normally do (read before listening that is). It’s really brought these characters to life and I can just picture everything in my head as it’s happening.
I am so happy right now.
This was so much better than Damaged Like Us. Everything that I did not like in book 1 was fixed here, and for that I. Am so. Happy.
While reading Damaged Like Us I never really understood how Farrow was different from every other person Moffy had slept with besides the fact that he was his bodyguard. I am so happy that this book gave us the opportunity to see their relationship deepen. I was so excited to see other parts of their relationship – like their insecurities and fears – besides the sexual aspect of it. Honestly Moffy and Farrow were cute af here, and I could cry just thinking about them.
The family dynamics. Bitch, I’m dead. This was also missing in DLU, but I could forgive it because I know it’s the first in a series. But now it’s Book 2, and I am so happy that we got to see so much from Moffy’s family. We got to see so much from characters we didn’t see in DLU, and I was ecstatic. I always love how KB write their friendships and family dynamics. I loved seeing both the great and not so great relationships between everyone. The bodyguards as well brought most of the humor into the book and thanks to Farrow’s POV we got to learn a lot more about them. And I swear to god if Donnelly doesn’t get a book one day I will revolt.
I love that this story didn’t just focus on Moffy and Farrow. We got so many glimpses into the lives of their loved ones and it makes me soooo excited for the future of this series. I know book 3 is also in Moffy and Farrow’s POV (which I’m fine with), but I am so ready for Janie and Sulli to shine in their POVs.
Charlie. Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. I love him so much. The one thing that kind of annoyed me was how everyone kept saying how perfect Moffy was (and I know it’s not true or his fault that they say that.) So I’m really glad Charlie got a lot of pages time to kind of act like the voice of reason when it came to this.
My biggest peeve of DLU was how Moffy and Janie’s parents reacted to the rumors at the end of the book. I know a lot of people think that how they reacted was normal under the circumstances… I’m just not one of them. So I’m glad that they apologized and are taking strides to make it up to them. Also, I was worried the rumor at the end of DLU would play a bigger part here, and I’m relieved it actually didn’t.
Also, tiny annoyance: what’s with so many “forest-green” eye references? Like why can’t you just say “green”, or why do you even have to say the color? Why not just say “my eyes”? We get it. His eyes are forest-green, enough. The same thing was done in DLU too.
But anyway I digress, I thought this was so much more “classic KB” book that the first which makes me really happy (did I say that already?). This got me so pumped for the series in general and I cannot wait for book 3!
