She has no second chance with him.Anne lost Robert five years ago when she said no to his proposal, and there’s no going back now. Even though rejecting him was the hardest thing she’s ever done. Even though she’s never gotten over him. Even though he’s moving right upstairs. He’s back for at least a month, recovering from an injury before he returns to the Navy. And he hasn’t forgotten or … forgotten or forgiven the way she chose her career over him. But there’s no sense in trying to work through their raw feelings–in or out of the bedroom–because if they get close to each other again, the same painful parting might happen a second time.
But getting close to Robert is exactly what Anne can’t stop doing.
Pemberley House is a series of modern reimaginings of Jane Austen novels, and the books are set in a historic mansion in Virginia that has been converted into condos. Loved None But You is loosely inspired by Persuasion.

Reread:
I loved the bite of angst that keeps this story going. Rereading this reminded me how much I really loved this series. It was created after the Jane Austen novels and it truly does have a bit of Austenesque flair to it which adds to its charm.
Original Review:
I really enjoyed this addition to the Pemberley House series. This is the type of book that you can just sit back with and relax. There is a bit of angst that drives the plotline and keeps the reader on edge, but these characters have so much chemistry that you just know they belong together.
Anne and Robert have a brokenhearted past and as they reconnect they both fear re-experiencing that pain again. There is a bit of push and pull here as they relent to the desire between them but then face the consequences of what those actions might present.
”He couldn’t do it again.
He couldn’t.
Not unless he knew for sure it was safe – that his heart wouldn’t be broken again.
He wasn’t going to invest in this any further until he knew it would last forever this time.
He wasn’t sure he could survive losing Anne a second time.”
This is an amazing second chance romance with the reason for their breakup being believable and acceptable – the type of thing that could happen between real people. They both move on but neither forget and once they see each other again they each begin to fall even as they are casually telling themselves that they can be in close proximity to each other without it affecting them. It was actually very humorous reading their internal dialogue regarding it.
As all of Ms. Adams’ books, this has a wonderful pace to it that keeps the story moving smoothly and before you know it you’ve reached the end. It’s a wonderful read for a lazy afternoon but be prepared for the heat factor here because this one absolutely sizzles.
This series was adorable. I devoured it. These books were just the right size and I was so excited for this book in particular because Persuasion is my favorite. I love Austen modernizations and read all of them as soon as I find a new one. Throughout the series you see glimpses of Anne and it is clear she is still not over Robert. She is exactly how I would have pictured Anne being if there was a prequel to Persuasion. She has regrets, but also knows she probably wouldn’t have done things differently because she made the best choice with what she was given. It’s clear these two were meant to be and it’s the reason they were not able to get over each other and no one else would compare. I really loved the modern twist to this one because of how Anne made Robert see things in her perspective. I think him understanding what he was actually asking her to do was imperative in their relationship. I loved this series and I would read it again in a heartbeat, just like I watch all the Austen movies over and over again.
2.5-3 stars.
Not sure what to think of this, tbh.
Here we have Anne and Robert, they were once a couple and happy in love, until he proposed and Anne’s doubts and her nagging family convinced her not to accept. Now years later, they reunite and old wounds are still very much open.
Anyway, I liked Anne in many ways, I loved how she finally put herself first, but I hated how much she let others (mainly family) step all over her. I understand she wanted not to create more trouble, but still.
My main issue is Robert, he was a complete and utter jerk. He was hurt and all, ok, but to be this mean and stupid, it was too much for me. I wanted to constantly slap him silly. I know he understood things better later on, but by then I just couldn’t take him anymore.
I love Persuasion, so this one sounded interesting, but Robert was such an a** I just couldn’t, lol.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
I loved this series and this one is the best of them!
All of them are based on a Jane Austen book and this one is loosely based on Persuation (for me the most difficult book to adapt). Anne and Robert were a couple in college and after graduation she broke up with him since she felt too young to commit with his military life and wanted to follow her own path. It was difficult for Anne to let him go since she really loved him but it was not their time. Robert really loved Anne and has to come back home after an injury that might have ended his military life. They are the ones who got away for each other and now have to face each other again and try to resolve their connection.
This book is so lovely, sweet, sexy that you will not put away until you read the last words.
I just love Noelle Adams writing and I am sure you will enjoy this book!
Loved it
We have seen Anne throughout this series and we have felt her loss of Robert, so I was excited to finally get their story. Noelle did not disappoint, she does a GREAT job of delivering a balanced story in a short amount of time. I want to visit, live at and hang out at the Pemberley House with these characters!
I will have to say that Riot needs her HEA with a strong man that can handle her!
