Great romance finding love when you least expect in. Tender twist from routine shifter romances.
This was the very first dragon shifter book I ever read and it was amazing. The author did an amazing job on the storyline. All the books in this series are well worth the read!
5 Super Sexy Stars.
What’s not to love about a sexy man who can rescue you AND find you a haunch of venison to roast over the campfire? Oh, and who happens to turn into a dragon while you’re sleeping after being so totally sated by fabulous sex?
Saul is a beta sweetie and I had to stop myself from making plans to go off rock climbing to let a dragon shifter find and rescue me!
This book is well written, the pace moves well, and the sex scenes are scorching hot. I love that Chloe gets to be the teacher for Saul, and that he is such a fast learner. Rawr.
I liked the second installment of Chloe and Saul’s story. It was a tad predictable, okay, a lot predictable, but I enjoyed their continuing whirlwind romance. The conflict with Chloe’s rival was not sappy and angstsy (that’s not a word, is it? It should be.) It was two people growing stronger through their unification against a common foe. I could see two desirable resolutions to that conflict, and I think Ms. Savage went with the easier one. But since this book isn’t meant to be a heavy, thought-provoking tome, the choice was fine, and made for an entertaining read.
Chloe’s fiery nature and Saul’s laid back, caring nature are just what I like to read. Feisty doesn’t have to equal dumb or bitchy, and strong doesn’t have to equal an asshole. They are a great couple.
I liked secondary characters Marcy, and Liev and Mahasti, too.
Taming the Dragon, the third story in this collection is probably my least favorite, though it is well-written, and the sex scenes are nice and steamy. It is definitely worth reading. I’ll try to explain where I’m coming from, but I’m afraid there might be some spoilers, so be aware before reading.
I guess where I felt a bit let down was in the actual *taming* of the dragon. Teo started off as an arrogant jerk, and I expected/hoped for Marcy to have a little more to do with bringing him around.
Rather than seeing her put him in his place by educating him how not to be a jerk, it seems more like he educated her that he wasn’t really a jerk, just misunderstood. He is definitely more than just a jerk, and worth her *taming* him, but I think it would have be more fun to see her inspiring some growth from him. Whatever that might have looked like.
Marcy is feisty, yes, which is a characteristic I like, except when feisty becomes more like bitchy. She was set up so wonderfully, but I felt that when push came to shove, she fell into the bitch category, in that she didn’t really give Teo a chance to explain himself. I can kind of see her position. She felt abandoned and had just readied herself to leave when he showed up wanting to talk, so I get it. She just seemed to go straight from cold to hot to cold again, and not much in between.
I did love Teo. Even his arrogance – probably because I often feel the same way about humans, despite me being one, LOL. He is generous, sexy, and earnest. And a simple man/dragon. I love simplicity, and would love to live in that island paradise with him. It was definitely easier for me to relate and connect with Teo over Marcy.
A wonderful introduction to a new fantasy series. The story follows two best friends who manage to capture the hearts of two powerful creatures hiding in plain sight.
I enjoyed the adventure and flow of the story. It was sexy, sassy, independent and fun.
I always enjoy reading about dragon shifters. They’re loyal, fierce and sexy.
This is not one to miss to all the dragon shifter lovers out there.
was very fascinating, and fun to read. keep me interested.
I love books that have Dragons in them! It started with the Dragon Riders of Pern series. After reading that book I had my tattooist design a large Dragon. I chose parts of Dragons from my collection and from pictures in my books. I took them to his home and a few days later he was done drawing up what I wanted. My Dragon tatt is very big and beautiful!
I sent a copy of the scetch to Anne McCaffrey that lived in Ireland (she passed away in 2012). I asked her to name my Dragon. I told her that she was a Queen dragon and told her the color that she is….purple.
I received a wonderful letter back from her. She made up the name “Ranneth” for her! Therefore my screen name!
If was different from others that I’ve read.
Too predictable. The “chase” was over almost instantly. The romance was very easy for both of them. Not a lot of drama to move the story along.
Way too immature.
A great writer
Ready to read another in this interesting series.
Great book
She has great, well built characters and scenes. In addition, a new spin on dragon shifters. Was fun and fast paced. I very much enjoyed it.
Unrealistic but romantic and a cute story
I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The characters’ voices were real and modern. Dragon lovers seem the best!
Really enjoyed this story. Will be getting more books by this author!
The concept of the book was interesting, but in the end I was mostly interested in the back story and the possibility that this book could have been but failed to be.
What dragons could be like…
To me magic was really gone when Candy Crash Saga was mentioned in the book, and to accentuate the wealth of the dragon believe it or not. He ended up buying multiple phones so she could play the game longer?
I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews but had to do it.
