This book is so awesome! It takes a hold of your heart and never lets it go. Jackson is so awesome! The love he and Harley have is amazing! No one that reads this book will be disappointed! You will love it
What a freaking ending!!!! M. Robinson has once again toyed with all of my emotions. I laughed, I cried, and possibly cursed M not only in my head but out loud as well. She definitely knows how to take your heart shred it into a million pieces then as politely as she can she slowly pieces it back together. This is one of the reasons why she is dubbed The Queen of Angst.
Love You Now picks up right where Hated You Then left off. We get to see how both Jackson and Harley grow not only as people, but as two soul mates that have to fight and claw their way to find their true happiness.
In true M fashion we get an OTT alpha in Jackson who is a huge a$$ but also wears his heart on his sleeve where his girls are concerned. Harley is just as sassy and fights for those who she considers family. Their life is far from perfect, and they both need to deal with some hard truths before they can move forward.
I’m telling you if you are looking for a storyline that will keep you captivated from beginning to end please give this duet a try.
My heart can’t take it!
Wow, just wow… My heart is broken, my emotions are all over the place. So many feelings right now. I was teary eyed at 46%, at 51% I was freaking crying. Jackson and Harley’s connection is so strong, their love/hate relationship has so much fire yet it’s heartbreaking. The back and forth, push and pull is so very difficult but I’m addicted to this story. I want the best for them, even if Jackson is a little Sh*t, he makes it so hard. No matter what he does, I’m hoping for change, for him to open up more, I’m rooting for him and Harley. Harley is amazing, I love her personality, she’s strong, honest and she has a fiery spark… Ugh, of course there’s a cliffhanger that left me in shock, teary eyed and my heart shattered…
I’m excited and scared as hell for book 2, wish me luck…
This book is beyond amazing and everything I wished for and more. This is the stunning conclusion to Harley and Jackson’s story, but probably not the last we will see of them! Thank god for M Robinson!!!
M guarantees flawed imperfect characters that make her stories real, raw and sometimes heartbreaking. It’s no surprise that the conclusion to this duet gave me all the feels.
Giving the book a 5 star rating was an internal battle for me because there’s no denying the books amazing, but that plot twist left me with some hard feelings towards the book that were hard to get over.
No doubt it hands down made me fall even more heels over head for Jackson; I’m thinking there weren’t many people who knew he’d become such a stand up man, but I knew deep down Jackson would go all in for his girl with no hesitation.
If I think too much about the logistics of the book and how it played out it leaves me feeling like the plot twist wasn’t originally what M had in store for Harley and Jackson’s love story. She pulls it off and makes it work, but it seems like a very loose and fragile setup that is kinda walking the line as far as being easily believable.
In the end I decide on 4 stars because while M is undeniably amazing and the story was true to what you’d expect from her, I still fell like that plot twist wasn’t even in the picture or part of her original intent when she set out to write their story in HYT. Since I feel like the plot twist wasn’t intended from the beginning I was left feeling like she had to figure out how to make that piece fit into their storyline and it ended up completely consuming the second book. It’s obviously something that drastically impacted and changed the course of many characters so it needed to be focused on in the second book, but I felt like we needed more of Jackson and Harley falling in love and being in love and less of them being at conflict with internal battles and one another. Overall, the plot twist set me up for craving Cash’s story, but I hated that it came at the expense of making Jackson and Harley’s story feel a little more forced for the sake of a great plot twist.
Sometimes, life gives you the short end of the stick. It’s not perfect, it’s not always blissful and happy. I think this is why I am so drawn to her books, they’re reality. I believe in soulmates and life partners, sometimes our soulmates just aren’t meant to be in our lives but they always hold a special place in us that no one can ever take away, so when we can have the two in one person it’s something truly beautiful. That’s what all her books have in common, and it’s one hell of a journey for these lobsters.
Jackson is in the top 3 list of a**holes, but his heart being worn on his sleeve for those he loves is something that makes him an amazing character! As much as I wanted to be mad and hate him through this duet, it’s hard to when you piece together and realize why he is the way he is and see the genuine truth to him.
Harley, being Creed’s daughter basically says it all. That girl is sassy and doesn’t take sh*t from anyone but the love she has for her family and friends is something strong and fierce. She holds her own and is an independent beauty of a character.
These two have some harsh roads to take and ugly truths they’re going to have to face if they want to finally get their hea. This duet is a MUST, M has done it again. There is no one quite like her when it comes to playing with my heart and soul, I don’t think Ive ever cried this much writing a review. I laughed, cried, cried some more, internally screamed, & cried again.
Amazing
I’m going to review both books here because it’s just easier for my though process…lol
Love and hate are a very thin line, it’s crossed all the time case and point Harley and Jackson. As i read the 2 books it became easier to see they never hated each other, but truly never knew how to express how they felt. So being mean to each other was their way and it made me love Jackson that much.
Jackson really blew me away, He was a surprise on every page and Cash let me just say I wiould never want a friend like him
5 MY POOR HEART STARS!! Be still my heart….this one killed me!! Harley and Jackson’s story is filled with angst, some many feels and lots of tears. I absolutely loved this duet and I know you will too. 1-Click this duet it is so worth the money and time.
Difficult to stop reading before reaching to the end.breathtaking and I dream about it
OMG! The road to their happiness is so freaking intense that I just loved this finale!
Harley & Jackson, their relationship is definitely not an easy one. Every twists and turns and ups and downs and swoons and tears. It’s all worth it though! You’ll never expect what’s going to happen next, you’ll be on the edge of your seat waiting to see what’s going to go down.
Wow, this definitely left me speechless. It’s been so long since I cried reading a book, and I don’t regret crying over this one! This is more than a 5 star read! PERIOD!
Love You Now by M. Robinson is the second book in her Love Hurts duet. The conclusion to Harley and Jackson’s twisted story. Two people who have known each other their whole lives and have constantly been at loggerheads with each other from diapers to kindergarten through high school. An emotionally twisted back and forth that turns them from enemies to lovers and, at least as far as Harley is concerned, back to enemies again. This is an emotional tale told in past and present time frames from both Harley and Jackson’s POV. With a few dips and turns I didn’t see coming and a mostly very happy ever after this definitely left a twisted door open for a spin-off for secondary characters. Enjoy!
”I hated you then, but, Harley Jameson, you’re about to find out how much … I love you now.”
This Love Hurts Duet has got to be M Robinson’s BEST work yet. So much emotion poured out of these pages. I mean it literally yanked at my heart. There were a few times where I was nothing but a blubbering, snotty crybaby. I felt every single fear and every single heartache that Harley and Jackson went through.
It took me ages to get to sleep after reading their conclusion. I was still a mess with every sorrowful and joyful tear I shed. Then I woke in the middle of the night…still thinking about them. They have become embedded in my heart.
So much tension, hate but love in their entire story. With Jackson’s early on manipulations coming back to bite him in the butt, the constant fear that he let cast a shadow on his entire life (holding him back from truly appreciating the good) and Harley’s strong hold of the past…their life was a facade.
With their past and present being told simultaneously, it clearly painted a picture of what led them to their decisions as well as their regrets. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to throttle them both for fighting their love and creating so much of their needless pain.
I’m so thankful of how it all worked out. They finally stopped fighting the love they had for one another and claimed that happily-ever-after that awaited them. And don’t even get me started on that bomb of an ending in their epilogue. Oh, boy!!!
AMAZING!! Simply amazing! This book will have you laughing one moment, crying the next and then wanting to find something to throw … This book definitely plays with all of your emotions! Your heart will get broken but then get put back together … I definitely went through a box of tissues with this one! A brilliantly written book!!!! But THE END!!!!!! OMG!!!! Can’t wait to continue reading her books!!!!
Once again I binge read this book in one sitting. As with every other book M Robinson writes; I locked myself away and lose myself in her characters. This is another top read of 2019 for me. The chemistry, the banter, the camaraderie… Harley and Jackson had it all in spades. This book had me laughing one minute and holding my breath the next.
And once again M Robinson always manages to shock me with an amazing twist you will never see coming. Following this I saw Jackson in a completely different light, I loved him always, but I admired and respected him after. Harley was a true chip off the Jameson block. Fearless and determined. I just love how this series just keeps on growing with spin off standalone books meaning readers can jump in anywhere without having to read the back issues.
“I know you don’t hate me. You’ve never hated me. I know ‘cuz I’ve never hated you.”
“What are you sayin’?”
“I’m sayin’ what I’ve known all my life. You’re mine, Harley Jameson. End. Of. Story.”
This duet was a ride. There was a lot that seemed over the top and what some might consider a little “much” for a story, but I thought it was spot-on. There were soooo many times that I wanted to knock these two over the head and make them see what was right in front of them, but I couldn’t reach into the pages to do it!
Growing up together, Harley and Jackson seemed to always be at each others’ throats — fighting, pranking, and hurting each others’ feelings. The reality, though, was that they each had feelings running so deeply that they weren’t sure what they were or how to deal with them. Growing up, these feelings became stronger and they had to figure out what to do with them. As teenagers, you might have guessed this, but they effed it up.
Into adulthood, carrying around past hurts and not communicating with each other, their strong connection sort of dulled for a bit. They both cared for each other, but never wanted to be the first one to show weakness. I think their relationship was perfectly exemplified in this story. Was it perfect? No. Dramatic? Yes. A bit crazy, over the top? Absolutely. I think, though, that all these things they did are a perfect representation of humans messing up and doing everything they can to avoid having their hope smashed.
Throughout this story, both Harley & Jackson carried the hope that their love would finally be recognized, BUT they were too scared to say it and make things real. Once things were truly real, they could be broken. For Harley, this had already happened (in her mind), and she wasn’t willing to risk it.
I completely loved this story. It’s been a long time since I’ve truly felt that the craziness of growing up has been accurately written, and this was definitely it. Great duet!
Amazing, epic conclusion to this high angst, highly anticipated book that I couldn’t consume fast enough! We ended the first part of this duet with a huge bomb being dropped and this book picks up where that left off but things are not what they seem and I was left feeling my heart being pulled on the entire time.
Harley and Jackson have the love/hate relationship down pat and I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it through. I am so glad I stuck it out and got the HEA I was desperately waiting for. This author is great at invoking all sorts of emotions and this book is no different.
Definitely grab up this duet right away, you will not be disappointed!
With the cliffy that HATED YOU THEN had , I couldn’t wait to tear into LOVE YOU NOW, the second book in the Love Hurts Duet, and when I say tear, I mean CRY. So much angst, and miscommunication, and bombshells dropped in this book conclusion, I couldn’t stop the tears from falling. But despite the “tearing” you apart, the happy ending does put you back together. I loved every single page, every single word written. This story was heart felt, relatable, and had me on the edge of my seat for what was on the next page. It’s definitely a must read!
One thing I’m always guaranteed to get in an M. Robinson book is high drama and an insane level of angst. She seriously delivered in what might be Robinson’s angstiest novel to date. It might have crossed the fine line into too much unnecessary angst in my opinion. This is one of those books where I was actually more frustrated that expected… so much of the angst or drama could have been reduced with Jackson and Harley actually talking to each other. It drives me a bit crazy and is way too frequent… why can’t people talk to each other? Relationships don’t last when they’re built on good looks, charm, and hot sex.
Anyways, I’ve been so torn on Harley’s and Jackson’s story… I enjoyed so much of the story and disliked a lot too. I think I could place most of my frustrations onto Harley. She drove be bonkers and I wanted to shake her… shake some sense into her. With that said though, M. Robinson has a really great way of building up a story and delivering it though. The feelings that she can inflict with just words and characters is really amazing. Really I’m unsure of how to end the review… I liked it but not a ton.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Love You Now is the conclusion to Hated You Then. Must read in order. This story picks up right where it left off, and I couldn’t wait to see what the Queen of Angst wrote for us. This story pulls you in so many direction that you could get whiplash. The back and forth from past to present, the drama, secrets, and lies, adulthood for Harley and Jackson didn’t look much different from when they were kids. Did I like the story? YES I did! Life is full of challenges, and overtime Harley and Jackson started to grow into themselves, and show what they were really feeling towards one another. I enjoyed reading this duet, and looking forward to M. Robinson’s next one.
This was part two of the duet and it tore my heart out just like the first one. I don’t think I’ve ever read books that made me cry so much. So beautifully written I could not put it down to save my life. We got the rest of Harley and Jackson’s life. All the heartbreak and tears was so worth it. This story had a couple twists I didn’t see coming! I’m looking forward to the next book related to this duet to come out. Five stars hands down, another masterpiece. It was the perfect ending for this couple. By Tiffany
