This was a great read, and the writing flowed well from start to finish! Merit and Mae made a great couple, but they had some growing pains along the way. Merit was still pretty immature, and Mae was too used to doing things her way. I felt like Merit was constantly apologizing, but I was happy to see Mae understand that he wasn’t trying to hurt her, but it was an adjustment for him. I liked that Mae realized that some people could be counted on. The ending was very sweet, and perfect for these characters. I can’t wait to read the next sibling’s book!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Another great book to the series. The author brings strong characters in Mae and Merit and weaves a sweet romance. She brings it to life with her descriptive writing and detailed scenes and pulls you in with the entertaining story line. The cast of supporting characters help to move the story fluidly. I loved and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
And baby make 4.
This was a quick, fun, sweet, with a little sexy heat thrown in read. Loved how Mae and Merit just compliment each other and finally had destiny (well really just a faulty condom) force them together after both had been secretly pinning for one another for months. It was fun and sweet to watch Merit grow from a man child into a grown adult guided by his love for his unborn child and the woman carrying it as well has his affection her son from a previous relationship. The only bad thing I have to say is that I want more of what happened in between some parts and wanted an epilogue.
This book could be read as a stand-alone, but one would be better for the cast of characters if they have read the two previous books in this series by Stacey Joy Netzel.
I recieved this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Merit is a playboy and a rich too until his father cuts him off then he realizes some things. The only thing is he wants is Mae, but she doesn’t want him. She’s a single mother and owns her own construction company. Things change when she finds out she pregnant and he’s the father.
What will Merit do about it? Can she trust him?
Buy to See what happens.
Truth be told I didn’t like Merit at first. Once a playboy always a playboy. He did a couple of things in front of Mae that I wasn’t happy about. But when Mae really needed him he was there for her and her son. He truly changed. So my finally rating is 3.5
Thank you to Ms. Netzel for a copy of this book.
Merit lives his life like he could care less. He is handsome and charming and not afraid to use it to his favor. He catches Mae, a single mother, at a family wedding. They have a sexy night… with consequences. I enjoyed reading Merit’s journey to a better man, to deserving a family of his own. I just love the Diamond’s. It’s a great series.
I just love the Must Love Diamonds series and I was so happy when I found out that the third one was about Merit! I could not wait to dive into his story and find out what he was hiding behind his no care playboy facade. I was equally thrilled when I found out that hard-working single mom Mae was in it as well. I loved how real life it felt and how human each character is. The whole series and storyline was very well thought out and included characters from the first two books and added to their stories. Make sure to start this one early in the day or you are guaranteed to be staying up late to finish it!
This was an ARC read but I would have bought it anyway to add to my collection. 🙂
I love this series so much and I think this is my favorite. Mae Lockheart a single mother to 6 yr old Ian has a one night stand with her best friend’s new brother in law. Two months later the little pink stripes on the pregnancy test knock the wind out of her.
Merit Diamond youngest Diamond with a less than stellar reputation who’s family calls him mooch is going to be a dad. Then his world goes to hell. His dad cuts him off and he has to prove his worth and character to Mae and convince her that he’s ready to step up.
I guess this was my favorite because Merit had so much to fight for with no support from his family. And the secret he had was the best. I love this story so hard. I highly recommend this book. The whole series is awesome and they all stand alone but you get a better idea of the family dynamic and some of Merit’s background if you start at the beginning.
This book really surprised me
There are two types of storylines that I am really not fond of – – playboy manwhores, and accidental pregnancies. This book included both of these. Oh dear….. So, I was a little apprehensive when I first started reading this book. But I figured if anyone could write a story like this and win me over, it would be this author.
And believe me, Stacey did not disappoint.
I enjoyed reading Merit’s backstory as to how and why he acted the way he did. I kinda felt sorry for him! And it was also very fun and interesting watching Merit work to overcome his spoiled, rich playboy ways and become the man Mae, her son, and the baby needed in their lives. I was rooting for them to make it!
This book can be read as a standalone, but I was glad to have read the previous books before this one. I got so much more out of this story knowing the characters from the other books and their interactions with Merit and Mae. So I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the Must Love Diamonds series, and can’t wait for the next book!
I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Wow, Merit is my favorite Diamond of all! Merit is a bit of a lost soul, not having done much since he finished college. He has lived off of his trust fund, playing up his playboy ways. He aspires to be a painter, but doesn’t feel it is a noble enough career to gain acceptance from his Senator father.
Mae has fought hard for everything that she has. She put herself through college and started her own construction company, all while being a single mom to seven yr old Ian. Being cheated on and abandoned by Ian’s father before he was even born, has made Mae very un-trusting of the men in her life. Especially of Merit, the playboy she should have stayed far away from.
The day Merit finds out that he has been cut off from his trust fund, Mae shows up on his door step to tell him she is pregnant! Now they must learn to help each other. Merit needs her to help him become the man he has always wanted to be, Mae needs to learn to trust in the playboy who has stolen her heart. Ian just wants to be a family, with a dad of his own.
Read this book, better yet, read the whole series! I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
Find your comfy reading spot and get ready to sink into a great story. He is so much more than you think. She has to learn a few things. Together if they can figure it out they could be the perfect team and family. Heart, heat, family and friends. Definitely recommend reading. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving
This is the third book in the Must Love Diamonds Series and it is wonderful! The Diamond family story continues on from the first 2 books. This time it Is Merit and Mae’s story, who were introduced in previous books. I loved it! I hope everyone takes the opportunity to read this series. It is a GREAT one and will not disappoint!
This is such a good book!
I truly enjoyed reading it!
Who knew a night of drinking
champagne could change a person’s life,
but Merit & Mae were about to find out.
It’s a engaging & moving story.
Everything you want in a true romance.
Merit Mae, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
I loved everything about this Must
Read Story!!
Sexy playboy Merit and Single Mom Mae Lockhart have a one night stand. He does try to contact her but she has no interest in exposing her son to a playboy like him. Two months later when she is not feeling well she does a pregnancy test and it is positive and since he is the only man she has been with in 7 years it has to be his.. Mae owns a Construction Company and works hard while Merit is called Mooch by his family because he does not have a job. Many twists and turns but this is a really good book. A story about growing up even when you think you already have. An interesting parental dynamic that does not necessarily end the way you think it will. Really enjoyed this story.
I really enjoyed Mae and Merit’s story. Mae is a really strong, independent woman who has worked hard to build her business so that she can provide for her son and herself. Merit is believed to be a playboy with a trust fund, but he is so much more and when his father cuts off his funds he discovers just how he needs to change his life and he manages to convince Mae that he is worth her time. There are lots of emotions in this book as Merit and Mae face parenthood together, it is steamy and romantic.
The characters in this book are well developed, realistic and truly human! Each with personal struggles, issues and insecurities. The storyline is well thought out with twists of fate, family interference and a healing grace that only love can provide!
I have enjoyed the whole series!
What an awesome book! The characters are totally believable. I love how they both grew as people in the story. I had to stop reading at midnight so I could get some sleep! I have read many of Stacy’s novels and I’m never disappointed.
This was an ARC book but I would have purchased it i regardless!
