Love Maker
I love second chance romance and this one was fantastic! It had everything you could want! One hot cowboy country singer and the girl that got away! I loved Boone and Becca! Their story was heartwarming, emotional and wonderful! Love Maker had a great storyline and amazing characters. I loved the witty banter! The story held my attention from the start until the end! I couldn’t put it down! I loved the book and I can’t wait to get Colt’s book! Thank you Kate for another fantastic book!
Love’s Home Run
I love this book! Luca and Danica had known each other for years. Danica was Luca’s sisters best friend, who he had a crush on. She had a crush on his older brother who only thought of her as a friend. A relationship bloomed between the two as soon as they kissed! Misunderstandings come up and have to be worked out. Will they figure everything out of will they give up? You’ll have to read it and find out!
I love second chance romance and this book has two of !y favorites! Read them and you will love them too!
This is a combination of two of Kate Kisset’s heartwarming stories, Heartbreaker, with Boone and Becca, and Love’s Home Run, with Luca and Danica.
HEARTBREAKER
This story sees Boone getting a second chance with his high school sweetheart Becca, but all is not plain sailing. Boone is still my favorite brother, and this book delivers on all its promises. It’s a HEA that the characters really have to work for, and it’s still a pleasure to read.
LOVE’S HOME RUN
I found Danica frustrating, but Luca was a close second on that. This book doesn’t give me the same feels as Heartbreaker does, but it’s a good read with well-developed characters, and the two work well together.
I received a free copy of these books, and this is my opinion only.
Really loved both of these highly entertaining, sexy, fun and action packed adventures filled with exciting and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Awesome box set that was so much fun to read!
This set has two great books by Kate Kisset about second chance romance.
Love Maker
I really like this romantic series about the sexy Beckett brothers. This one focused on country singer, heartthrob, Boone Beckett and his old girlfriend, Beca Barclay. I enjoyed both of them trying to deny their feelings and their chemistry because it was fun listening to their banter and denial. I also enjoyed discovering the reason and story behind their breakup and wondering if they could eve patch things up between them or if a new relationship would be possible. I cannot wait to read the next book in this romantic series.
Love’s Home Run
This is the second book in this series about the Santino brothers of Napa Valley. I could not put the book down until I found out how it ended! The author will touch your emotions as she weaves her story of Danica Vargas and Luca Santino. It is a touching story and will make you think about your early past relationships. I received an advance copy of this set and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Love x 2 by Kate Kisset is a marvelous read at Valentine’s or any time of the year. This duet set makes the perfect read in a chair with a cup of coffee or in a chair on the beach. It consists of two previously released stories that have successful men who have followed their dreams pairing up with women from their past. All have to work at continuing to achieve their goals without one having to give them up for the other in the relationships. Both are stand-alone reads where love really does win. Delight to read.
Love Maker has a ranching singing cowboy and his love. While Love’s Home Run has a baseball accident bringing together two surprisingly back in contact. Plenty of drama and a few laughs as these couple prove that true love can be found the second time around.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
From two different series: good, romantic with some
I think both books in the set are 4star reads, with good character development along with the romance. My thoughts on each story:
Love Maker
Is it time to try again? Sweet and steamy romance Western style
I enjoyed Becca and Boone’s second chance romance. They made mistakes, lived to realize them and were fortunate enough to reconnect. I love a good romance with a Western flair and the importance of music to the plot. It made me want to go back and watch one of my favorite movies set in rural Montana and listen to its catchy Country Western soundtrack. It’s well-written, just the right length to get the job done. I would have liked a little more on their past romance and their lives in the interim before the action starts, but overall a good standalone romance with likable protagonists. I also think the added playlist at the end of the book is a great bonus.,
Love’s Home Run
Second chance scores a home run
I really like the author’s writing style and the solidarity and girl power of heroine local reporter Danica and her housemates. Danica is a bit clueless, though, chasing a man who flirts one minute then goes all remote and polite the next. Danny Deep aka Luca, the baseballer from her youth, has a hard time of it and I liked him for his unrequited hope, but he does make some moves later in the book that are a bit harsh. Still, the conflict made for a good romantic story, especially with the reminiscences from their teen years sprinkled in.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book set provided by the author; this is my voluntary and honest review.
You just can’t go wrong with a Kate Kisset romance and both of these are funny and melt your heart romantic. Grab this box set and get ready for two heart warming stories of love .
“Lovemaker” is a steamy romance by the talented Ms. Kisset. It’s the second steamy romance featuring the Beckett brothers.
When they were young, Boone, the youngest Beckett brother, and Becca were in love, but due to misunderstandings and lack of communication, they broke up. When Becca finally moves back to town, Boone is still in love with her, but still really hurt. He’s also about to start his first tour.
Will they give each other a second chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love, or will their career paths take them in different directions?
“Love’s Home Run” is the second book in the Love in the Vineyard series. The series is based in Sonoma and Napa, California.
I loved this book! I bought the book on release day and finished it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Ms. Kisset always makes me fall in love with her characters.
Luca and Danica have a second chance at love, but only if Danica can remember who he is and can explain why she was kissing his brother the week before.
Love Maker
As the story develops, we learn more of what happened to Becca and why she moved away from Lonesome and Boone. When Becca moves back to Lonesome, she agrees to work at The Owl to help out since Boone and his band are playing their prior to going on tour. Will this lead to Boone and Becca getting back together? Or is she truly in love with the guy who she’s been seeing and just recently got a new job close to Lonesome?
It made me mad that Becca didn’t seem to trust Boone but it seems that her challenges probably affected her thinking. You could feel the attraction between them whenever they were near each other.
Love’s Home Run
Danica and Luca have a history from when they were in high school – and made out with each other every chance they had. But then she went to college and they lost contact with each other. Now she is trying to figure out his older brother Michael who is sending her mixed messages. One minute he is kissing her, the next he is treating her as nothing more than a friend.
Then she gets his by a baseball hit by one of the new members of the team. He comes to the hospital to see her but she doesn’t realize who he is. Seems Luca has grown up and looks nothing like the kid she knew in high school. Will they be able to pick up where they left off? Or will one of his brothers create a rift between them?
