Purrrfect rainy day read!
This was such a sweet read. Small town meets Big city.
A little bit of suspense a lot of feels and a bundle of romance all come together to create the purrfect storm.
Hunter is the businessman determined to stay on top. Cold and calculating. Ruthless. Always above (yes even physically) the noise and commotion of common folk. Until he ends up in a small town B&B, on the ground floor.
There is a storm brewing outside his window, one that might well change the direction of his life.
Aria is the dreamer, the baby of the family. Always in the shadows of her siblings’ accomplishments, never quite feeling good enough.
Until the night she ran through the rain chasing an escaped dream only to find herself surrounded by a wall of a glowering man.
Hunter is there to convince the shop owners of Mariposa street to sell out to his company. It’s for the good of the town after all. The only problem is he needs the majority vote and one owner fiery little red-headed cafe owner is working strongly against him.
Aria has no intention of selling out even if the man who will oversee the project is the glowering hunk that helped her catch her runaway feline.
As things get closer to the deadline it is not looking so good for the Cafe’ but things are not always what they seem.
Can Aria save Mariposa street?
Will Hunter choose his career or the woman who makes him feel alive again?
A small town romance that is both sweet and spicy. First in a series, that if this story is any indication, will be a real winner. The chemistry between the two main characters is apparent from the beginning, even if they don’t seem to like each other. Very interesting path taken toward the HEA.
The first in a new series by Nina Lindsey is one that will make you swoon with the town. I loved seeing this little town come to life and hello the cats were cute to read about. These two together are opposite of each other yet in some way they complete each other. Aria is one tough cookie and won’t back down in her beliefs even when Hunter seduces with a life she never imagined having before. Part 1 definitely started of great and cannot wait to see what she does with the other sisters in this book.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Oh my gosh, I loved this book so much!
When I read what this story was about it reminded me of a Hallmark Christmas movie and I’m obsessed with them so I just HAD to give it a try and oh my gosh, I’m so SO glad I did. It was everything I hoped for, in fact it was MORE than I hoped for. I’m in awe of this book and now I just want more.
Aria and Hunter’s story was incredible and I’m so glad I had the honour of reading it.
Aria is a small town girl with a cat cafe that houses cats until they’re adopted. She loves her kitty’s and will do anything to save her cafe from the company trying to taking over.
Hunter is one of those in the company trying to convert the little town into something bigger. His aim is to get majority signatures so the work can begin, what he doesn’t expect is a gorgeous blonde woman creeping under his window.
Bliss Cove is full of surprises and Hunter is about to learn all about them. This story is absolutely captivating and it’ll keep you interested from beginning to end.
Nina Lindsey did incredible with this book. It’s my first book from this author and definitely won’t be the last.
Love Walks In is a cute romance with a dash of heart ache. The residents of Bliss Cove and their family will capture your heart and never let go. This story is an enemies to lovers romance, a romance that’ll make you smile so hard.
An AWESOME start to a new series in lovely Bliss Cove, CA. The moment that big real estate developer wunderkind Hunter Armstrong assisted Bliss Cove business owner Aria Prescott wrangle her cat, Porkchop, their singleness was doomed. Instant attraction, but a being on opposing sides of a major property buyout was bound to ruin their coming together. His firm wanted to destroy beautiful Mariposa Street, which included Aria’s Meow and Then cat lounge and rescue, and change the whole dynamic of the historic town of quaint Bliss Cove, Aria’s hometown. What an awesome story of two people coming together with such heat and joy to change and join them in such a charming adorable way. The heat and draw that exists between them is so good you don’t ever want it to end!! But more Bliss Cove stories are expected, so I’m a happy reader all over the place. I highly highly recommend you grab this Treasure immediately!!! This is one of my top-5 authors (whether she writes as Nina Lane or Nina Lindsey), and love EVERYTHING she writes!! Jump aboard this lovely series!!
Rating: 4.5/5
I loved everything about “Love Walks In,” the absolute perfect start to the new Bliss Cove series.
Hunter and Aria stole my heart as well as all of the supporting characters in Bliss Cove. I am very much looking forward to reading Callie and Rory’s stories.
I wish I could live in Bliss Cove ! It sounds so quaint. I really enjoyed the story of Aria and Hunter. Aria is a very determined young woman who will not let anyone ruin her dream of staying on Mariposa Street. Not even the handsome stranger who she is falling for. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I adore Nina Lindsey ! She is one of my favorite writers!
Cold, calculating and reserved real estate developer, Hunter’s world is thrown off its axis when he comes into contact with Aria, the local cat lady. Only she’s no crazy old spinster cat lady. No, she’s a warm, compassionate young woman who loves her stray cats and her small town. Her heart shines through into Hunter’s cold exterior, and suddenly his plans for her town just might have to change.
I think I want to visit Bliss Cove after reading Love Walks In, because this story is so sweet, heartwarming, and slow burn that it captured my attention and it never wavered. Aria and Hunter are opposites to be sure, but they make a wonderful couple and along with a crazy collection of pets and small town friends, make for an entertaining, sweet read. I will definitely be on the lookout for more Bliss Cove!
Favorite Quotes:
We went on a couple of dates years ago, but it ended up being just two old friends hanging out. Besides, it’s tough to feel romantic about a man who ate paste in kindergarten and who knows that you once considered getting a Justin Bieber tattoo.
Ominous music filtered through the uplifting movie trailer in her head.
My Review:
This was a slowly developing yet thoughtfully written and relatable story that could easily happen in any small-town. The book was the first of a series and written in the third person omniscient point of view while mainly featuring the inner musings and encounters of the two main characters of Hunter and Aria, who couldn’t have been more different and quickly find themselves embroiled in conflict over a development scheme for Aria’s small hometown.
I enjoyed the gradual transformation and evolution of Hunter who began as a tightly wrapped, controlled, ambitious, driven and humorless corporate development executive who was devoid of emotion and chanted his Borg directive of “Focus. Discipline. Plan.” He finds himself being a bit distracted from his assigned easy takeover plans by Aria, an alluring yet stubborn business owner with a unique Cat Café that she was unreasonably unwilling to part with. Being a card-carrying Crazy Cat Lady myself, I instantly adored her.
The storylines were easy to follow and rife with lushly descriptive and vivid visuals, family tensions, sexual attraction, wry humor, quirky characters, and a few sizzling sensual scenes and heart squeezes and sweet touches tossed in along the way. This is the first of a new series with a new name author who appears strikingly familiar – I was instantly tipped off with the inclusion of Bliss in the title. I’m on to you Nina, but I’ll keep it in my own lane for now. 😉 And by the way – Sugar Joy is a brilliant name for a bakery.
3.5 Stars
Love Walks In, is the first title in the Bliss Cove series, and the debut series of Nina Lindsey.
If you enjoy a small town, enemies to lovers romance I recommend Love Walks In.
Aria is a quirky, if somewhat flighty at times, she’s also a fun and big hearted heroine. Determined and driven when it comes to anything she’s passionate about.
Hunter is a workaholic property developer who is determined to leave his past behind him.
Love Walks In is a cute, sweet and charming story that is low in drama and has undeniable chemistry between the hero and heroine.
Honestly I struggled to connect with this title, it’s well written, and quite an enjoyable read, but I didn’t find myself completely absorbed.
This book was amazing. I loved how Aria overcame all the challenges and fought for Mariposa.
I couldn’t tell at all how the outcome would be. This book had me engrossed throughout.
I loved Aria and Hunter in this book. They might fight for different teams, but they overcame it all.
It all starts with a cat who runs away. You never know what life has in store for you.
Nina Lindsey did amazing job with this book.
Love Walks In was such a great book! I loved that Aria, known for being a bit flighty in her family, comes home to work hard on her business (what a cool idea for a cafe w/the addition of a place for adoptable cats!) and show everyone she’s dependable. Just when she’s feeling settled, in walks Hunter.
I loved watching these two circle each other while trying to deny their chemistry! They sucked me in! And I loved watching them both grow during the process!
As a cat lover I was all over this book. I LOVED the cats and the Meow and Then Cat Cafe. I wanted to go visit it myself and I probably would never leave. Plus there is a cat named Porkchop and I have a cat named Porkchop so I knew this was going to be a good one. Now Hunter, he had to win me over because the prologue he left a not so good impression. Trust me hang in there because he went a long way redeeming himself the night he meets Aria. The magic of Bliss Clove is going to work on Hunter with the help of Aria. You get to see why people love Bliss Cove so much. This book has me hooked on the series. I’m going to be eagerly waiting more from this series.
I loved this story and I look forward to the next book in this series
Utterly delightful and full of the kind of charm that is addictive, Love Walks In is simply wonderful. Nina Lindsey writes from the heart as she tells the tale of Aria Prescott, her struggles to keep her cat cafe and the rest of her historic street intact, and the man whose world she turns upside down.
Hunter Armstrong never expected to do anything more than come to Bliss Cove, convince the small town to embrace his company’s development plans and then move on. But then Aria walks in and the man gets all kinds of discombobulated as his hard exterior and no nonsense attitude changes by just being close to the beautiful soul that is this young woman.
With the help of a cat named Jumbo and his motley crew, and an array of secondary characters that are both witty and full of hometown enchantment, Love Walks In will fill your heart with pure joy. I loved the transformation that we got to witness in both Hunter and Aria, their flourishing if albeit surprising romance, the reason.
This enthralling book reminds me that love truly does conquer all. Aria and Hunter and their adventure proves just that, even after dealing with overzealous developers and a skittish cat named Fang. They have a connection that is the real deal and I enjoyed every moment.
5 huge stars!
