Another great book
I loved that this story took broken souls and showed us how God redeemed them. After being robbed by pirates and rescued from the cold waters after jumping from a burning ship, Ryan and Emma were brought ashore in a remote area. The man, Patrick, who saved them, was going through his own nightmare. The same day that he saved Emma and Ryan, …
Heartwarming! A wonderful read.
Good insight into the life of the woman which the story was about. Even if it was fiction, I can understand more about the keepers of the lighthouses.
excellent. purchased her next book.
I was in the mood for something light, romantic, with interesting characters and a different setting. This fit the bill perfectly
I loved it!
The details of life on the Great Lake were interesting. The characters were strong enough that you wanted to keep reading. It showed people making mistakes but still able to love each other.
Loved reading this book. Great characters. Touched by hard circumstances but keeping faith and relying on prayers and asking for God’s help, Emma and Patrick find a life together, a life they always dreamed of having.
It was a sweet read! Loved the historical part of it!
3.5
I actually liked this book more than I expected. A brother and sister are traveling on a steamboat in the Great Lakes when it is attacked by pirates and set on fire. They both jump overboard and are rescued by men in this very small lakeshore town.
Long story short, she ends up marrying her rescuer (whom works in the lighthouse) because she …
Unexpectedly good reading about second chances. A good Christian look at what can happen in your life.
It’s been a long time since I read this book, but I do remember that I liked it very much, although sometimes the characters and situations caused me to cry. I give it 5 stars.
Sweet story, highly recommend.
I love lighthouses. A story set around a lighthouse always a winner. Recommend.
I was glad I took the time to read this book. It took me a little while to get into the plot but then the story moved along well. Many unexpected twists to this story!
Jody Hedlund always writes books with great characters and interesting situations. Many are truly thought provoking and not just a simple romance story.
A very good story, suspenseful as well.
Do loved the book
I liked it. couldn’t put it down.
