ONE SURPRISING TREAT!!!
Oh my, talk about putting the cart before the horse. This is one exciting, entertaining, intriguing, gut-wretching, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning bombshell that’s as riveting as it is captivating. I was a goner from the git-go. With a whirlwind of emotions and events that really make the storyline pop. All the twists and turns, unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises around every corner make for remarkable experience. As the drama, misunderstanding, lies and suspense increases steadily as the tension spirals and the plot thickens. The characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it’s easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another. Krista did an incredible job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Krista, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Once again, the author, Krista Lakes has written a marvelous story with what exactly I like to read in my stories. The story’s flow and the chemistry between the characters was spot on and also hot 😉 This was another great story by this author and I can’t wait for the next story! 🙂

Krista Lakes always writes such fun and wonderful books! I’m a huge fan of holiday romance like this and this one was my favorite so far this year. Definitely recommend it! ^_^
I loved this story. A little Christmas love is what we all want. The romance between Nathan and Holly was just magical. I highly recommend this book.
Super good Christmas read.
We have a modern day spin on The Christmas Story meets Cinderella featuring our Hero, Nathan, as a non-celebrating wealthy Scrooge, and our school teacher heroine, Holly. Nathan was raised by a father who taught him that making money at all cost was most important. Personal sacrifices should be made to ensure that money remains in abundance. Personal fun, happiness and “doing the right thing”? Bah humbug…overrated!
While on vacation in an exclusive ski resort (modeled after Aspen), he meets Holly who happens to be staying at the same resort because of an award she wins. Her best friend who was her plus one, falls ill so Holly is left to enjoy the slopes by herself, until she runs into Nathan again. They start hanging out as friends, which later includes certain benefits, with neither one of them looking beyond the vacation fling. Which goes great, until each learns they are inter-connected to her small town. Nathan’s company is about to uproot a small tech company in Holly’s town and relocate it to San Francisco, taking with it several families the town needs to sustain itself, including Holly’s father’s bookstore.
The story is told from a dual POV so we hear Nathan’s inner turmoil as the desire to make more money collides with his heart which is say when is enough, enough? As a second grade teacher, Holly is trying to lift the spirits of her students whose families will be making the relocation, leaving behind their friends and home. Three older women weave a little Christmas magic to try and get these two together for a HEA. Will they succeed?
Move over Hallmark, Krista Lakes is making her move. Love Under the Mistletoe is all heart. Holly and Nathan are the best of what makes romance great. A handful of heart, a dash of magic and a whole lot of love.
Well written sweet romance with two characters who can help each other. They have instant attraction and a great chemistry. She is a sweet school teacher that wants to save her town and he is a billionaire that are used to people only see his money. It reminds me of the Charles Dickens story with Scrooge and his money. But luckily both characters develops nicely through the story and their attraction only grows.
Captivating and enjoyable to read.
3.5 stars
Love Under the Mistletoe was the perfect story for me to read just before Thanksgiving. It put me in the holiday spirit by reminding me to read for pleasure and suspend reality and allow for the possibility of magic to give me my HEA. Lakes puts her spin on A Christmas Carol with this contemporary story about Holly Jones a delightful second grade teacher being rewarded with a weekend ski trip to Aspen to receive her Teaching Award for the year. It happens to be Nathan the all business and no fun billionaire there mixing responsibility with a weekend at his favorite ultra high end ski resort, who is going to present Holly’s award. As luck, Merryweather and her sisters Flora and Fauna would have it they meet before the awards and there is a spark!
I enjoyed the getting to know you and hot flirting between the couple. The ski weekend was lovely and Merryweather seems to be everywhere with a helping hand. Any readers who pick this book from the Clean and Wholesome catagory are going to to bleach their eyeballs though because there is on page smexy times all over the place! Ha!
The save our small town feel of the second half of the story was perfect to keep my mind off the billions that Nathan checks on constantly in his accounts and on the true meaning of the holidays and what it means to be a good person and fall in love.
This story was what I needed to get me in the spirit to grocery shop and cook Thanksgiving dinner! Ha! I hope it does something similar for you.
Enjoyable
This was such a great story. Holly won award for being such a great teacher and won a weekend at a very nice resort. She and her friend drove up but he friend are a iffy sandwich and ended up sick so she went skiing alone. But she had seen Nathan the day they checked in. Now he was her ski partner. She didn’t realize he was the guy moving the big company out of her home town. But the fates will get involved to make it a wonderful Christmas.
Ah, Christmas, that magical time of the year, but unfortunately, it is not for everyone. Holly has always loved Christmas, but is worried this year about her town, her father, and her students. Nathan, a billionaire, that always works on Christmas, like it is any other day. Then, they meet at a ski resort, and happen to sit under the Mistletoe, and the magic between them begins. This is such a wonderful story! It is very heartwarming, with just a touch of magic. I loved it, and did not want to stop reading it, once I started it. I really wish I had a Merryweather. I highly recommend this book to you, so you can experience the magic of Christmas and the magic of Krista Lakes.
Holly is a school teacher and has won teacher of the year and a trip away. Nathan is a billionaire CEO on vacation at the same lodge that Holly is at and is presenting the award for teacher of the year. When they meet the attraction sparks between them. While both are vacationing they give into each other and share their time together. However when Holly learns who Nathan is she tries to convince him to keep business in her town so no one will lose their jobs. Holly shows Nathan that there is more to life than just making money and gets him in the holiday mood. Will Nathan be able to keep his promise?
This is a great holiday story that will hold your attention from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Holly is a sweet person who is a gem. She is a teacher who was awarded a huge education award which she definitely deserved and won a ski trip as a side benefit becauseof it. It’s there where she met sexy and handsome Nathan. They had this beautiful weekend. Their weekend together felt like some movie reel- like it unreal but most definitely fabulous. Then life gets in the way after their weekend together and it seems there are people trying to keep Nathan and Holly apart. Will they get their HEA and get back together?? Oh I truly love this story.. Krista has another hit on her hands again!!! Great main characters and sweet plot.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ****
I really enjoyed this book. It’s everything you want in a contemporary holiday romance-the brooding male, loveable female who can brighten his world, likeable supporting characters and a sprinkling of the magic of Christmas. It was well written and held my interest throughout. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a feel good holiday read.

What a sweet, sexy and surprising story!
I’m not a huge Christmas story fan but Krista knocked it outta the park with this one.
Sizzling chemistry, hot af sex, sweetness and magic (yes, there is actual magic) all melded together to create an easy to read, heart warming story.
And that ending… just when I thought everything had turned to crap, in comes that Christmas magic to make everything as it should be. Perfect end to the story!
Easily a 5 star read that is definitely worthy of the 1-click button

I could see this as a movie on Hallmark.
We have a touch of a LOT of references to Disney princesses. First we have Merryweather, Flora and Fauna our “fairy godmothers” then we have our bookstore that we grew up in. Instead of dwarfs we have our children. But the most important part is our Prince Charming saving the town and making our dreams come true after he of course nearly destroys it.
If you are looking for a Hallmark Christmas special, this is the book for you
She is worried about everyone in town and is not looking forward to Christmas. She meets him and they have a great weekend. He is glad to meet someone who does not care about his wealth but things are not as they seemed. His plans for her town is what is worrying her. Can she show him a new way to live? Can she save her town? See if she can

This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction. I also got heavy drama, I would recommend this to anyone!! Who loves Holiday Romances!!
