JamesonShe hates me. I can’t say I blame her, in fact, I thought it was best this way. That was until I realized just how much I really cared for her. Now all I want to do is protect her. It wasn’t supposed to be this way.OliviaI hate him. He’s always been a thorn in my side. When my life is flipped upside down, and I’m fighting to stay above water, things between us shift, and I begin to … us shift, and I begin to question everything I thought I knew about the boy next door. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I never should have kissed him. It was only a matter of time.
After all, 425 Madison Ave is the perfect place to fall in love!
*Each book in this series is a complete standalone, but trust me – you’ll want to read them all!

Love Under Construction is the 6th book in the 425 Madison Avenue series. Here we meet Jameson and Olivia, he loves her but she can’t stand him or his interfering ways. I enjoyed reading their story and look forward to the next book in the series.
Jameson and Olivia have a love hate relationship. It takes a tragedy to bring everything together. Will these two finally become the couple they were destined to become? This story is intriguing and draws you in and will have you cheering for this couple. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Book 6 in 425 Madison already! I just adore this series! Each book is something totally different and totally unexpected.
This is a frenemiess to lovers book and oh is it a great one. Jameson is the one that seems to have more than friendly feelings first, he’s always been very protective of her. I love that! Olivia keeps him at arms length, though I can’t understand why.
Then things happen and suddenly they are more than friends. This is where I had a little bit of a problem with this book. Olivia and Jameson get together as a result of her father’s illness and death. I shook my head, because granted I was 40 when I lost my dad, and 44 when my mom passed having sex was the last thing on my mind in the first hours of grief.
I loved Jameson the best of the two characters because he really was looking out for her. Everything he did, he did out of caring. I’m not 100% sure where Olivia’s feelings came from until they finally become a couple.
I have to admit I got teary-eyed reading this, especially as its only been a few months since my mother’s passing. So reading about hospice and stuff like that brings everything front and center again.
This was a quick very emotional read and a great addition to this series.
Love Under Construction, the sixth book in the 425 madison series by Aubree Valentine is really an amazing story. I have been following every book in this series. The love story of Jameson (Jay) and Olivia(Liv) was so beautiful that would make anyone fall in love. It’s Love for Jameson always and Hate Love for Olivia.
Being the kids of best friends they both brought up together and Jameson was given the responsibility to protect Olivia by their parents. Olivia had always felt that Jameson annoys her but he has been always loved and cared for her. Years pass by and Olivia working as a Teacher in resides at 425, Madison Avenue situated in the big apple. She always had a soft spot for specially abled people and comes up a concept of building a school “The Mason Center” for them with the help of Leo Eastman (from Must Love Coffee, Book 1 of the series). At the same time, Jameson moves temporarily to NYC and moves next door to Olivia to work on a construction. To their irony they find each other working together but a sad news calls Olivia back home.
This book has been given a tag line as Enemies to Lovers, but only Olivia has thought him as Enemy meanwhile Jameson has always loved her and they both had physical tensions towards each other for long time. I loved both the lead characters in the book, Jameson has stayed by her side whenever she needed though Olivia pushes him away she finally reaches out for him. Also it was good to meet characters from previous books, like Leo, Gwen, Jake and seems like Sara is the recurring character of this series. It was a quick read and I just loved the book. At last the construction was well built.
Love under construction by Aubree Valentine is the 6th book in the beloved 425 Madison Series. I can’t believe that we are already on book 6! We only have 3 more to go. Didn’t we just start the series? Grab your coffee and let’s see if Aubree’s book lived up to the reputation of this series.
Olivia is a teacher at an elite New York private school. She escaped the stifling small town in Georgia where she was raised and has barely looked back. Using the small inheritance she received from her grandparents, Olivia purchased a small apartment that she shares with her beloved dog Peaches. Between teaching, her dad being sick, and helping start a school and therapy center for children with special needs, Olivia is struggling to deal with her anxiety and panic attacks. There is only one person who has been able to calm her and he just moved in next door. His company is also building the therapy center. It is really too bad that she hates his sexy as six, well-defined butt.
Olivia has hated Jameson’s guts since the day she was born and rightfully so. Their families appointed him to look after her. A job that he has done very well over the years but, like most boys, he may have gone overboard a few times. Deep down, he has always loved her and would do anything in the world to make her life easier. Now he’s ready to prove to her that he is the man for her.
So…Olivia might be my favorite female character in the series. I work with students with special needs so her love and desire to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families gives her a special place in my heart. My hometown needs a Mason Center! For that matter, every town needs ones. Olivia is also beautifully flawed, she’s from a small town in Georgia, and she graduated from the University of Georiga (GO DAWGS!) She fights every single day to overcome her anxiety-driven panic attacks.
Aubree Valentine has written a very sweet book that covers issues like the need for specialized therapy centers for children with disabilities, anxiety, loss, and dealing with the reality that man that you hate the most might just be your soul mate. I very happily give Love Under Construction by Aubree Valentine 5 out of 5 propellers.
Love Under Construction is the story of Olivia and Jameson…childhood frien-emies! She hates him, He drives her crazy, They want nothing to do with eachother….or Do They???
I’ve loved this series. Each book has been unique with characters who are fun and sexy and quirky and real. Book #6 is no different…except, Aubree Valentine has included a tragic and very heartfelt drama. It’s not all funny and lovely, but it is truthful.
I started off when I first heard about this series not knowing if I’d have the time to fit them in. But once I started reading a few, I was hooked. It was a good enemies to lovers story, and as I was so hooked, it was a very quick read. The relationship was one that took a bit to actually solidify into more than friends, which as usual, the one putting on the breaks irritated me with their reasoning. But it wasn’t just a romance, there was a lot more family emotional parts to the story. Sad things happened, and then a family member behaved in a way that I didn’t see coming. But overall it was a good read, and I look forward to reading about more of the residents of 425 Madison Avenue in future stories.
This was definitely the most emotionally wrought book in this series. I couldn’t stop reading once I started. Well once I finally left work and could legitimately read 🙂
Jameson is pretty dang sweet and special – even if Liv doesn’t appreciate it/him. But she ultimately realizes what a good person Jameson is. Always looking out for her, protecting her and being near her in her biggest time of need. Small spoiler – Liv’s mom! If you can even call her that. Ugh she made me disgusted. And glad for Liv that Jameson and his family was there for her when her family disintegrated.
And I liked that Gwen and Leo made an appearance – more than a cursory view at least.
This was an enjoyable read that had some wonderful scenes between the H/h but could have used just a little more backstory at times and bit more editing.
I really loved all the tender moments between Olivia and Jameson, watching them forget their history and allowing their hearts to lead them. Olivia was a bit frustrating and I never really bought into all the reasons she “hated” Jameson, so it was hard to watch her go hot and cold with him, and maybe with a bit more backstory it would have made it easier to relate to Olivia’s feelings for Jameson. Jameson was just so sweet and really proved he was there for Olivia. I didn’t necessarily agree with him keeping some things from Olivia, but knowing the close relationship he had with Olivia’s dad I could almost forgive him.
I am really enjoying the 425 Madison Series and, even though there isn’t a lot of overlap with the characters between books, I really love seeing someone I “know” pop up in the different stories. I could have done without the guest appearance of Sara in this one though – it seemed a bit out of place in the context of the story.
Although this isn’t my favorite story in this series, it is definitely worth checking out – as is the rest of the 425 Madison series!
Jameson and Olivia have been friends since they were in elementary school. Jameson did all
the little kid things to get Olivia’s attention while she just found him the annoying neighborhood
friend. Things didn’t change as they got older. Jameson still loved her, Olivia still found him
annoying yet she turned to him whenever her life got tough and he always showed up for her.
I love how protective Jameson was of Olivia, I love how he never gave up on her, and I love how
he always knew exactly what she needed even when she wasn’t sure what she needed. The
relationship between Jameson and Olivia is not easy. Even as friends Olivia pushes Jameson
away, brushes him off, and keeps plenty of space between them. Until she doesn’t, she lets him
get too close one time and nothing can ever be the same.
Love Under Construction is the perfect addition to the 425 Madison series. I like that some of
the characters in past books make cameos and I love meeting the new characters.
I found this to be a sweet childhood enemies to friends story. Olivia has never like Jameson and once you read this story you realize how everything was misconstrued. Jameson is the perfect book boyfriend who I want to be cloned for real life. Jameson is the one constant in Olivia’s life whether she realizes it or not and their story blooms from there. Their tension is a delight to read through and good for the heart and the soul.
Best Series EVER! I have loved every book in the 425 Madison series! Love Under Construction gave me all the feels! Aubree Valentine wrote an amazing book with great characters! I can’t wait for more!!
WOW! WOW! WOW! LOVE UNDER CONSTRUCTION by Aubree Valentine BLEW my AWAY with this Short & Overwhelming Beautiful Story!! Also she is a New Author for me and the 6th Book in the 425 Madison Series! Jameson and Olivia aka Liv Storytelling was Heartwreching and an Emotionally journey! It is an Enemies to Lovers romance even though they grew up together being that they were neighbors. Its a short powerful story and I was wanting more! Plus their chemistry is OFF the Charts Hot and Entertaining at the same time!
Another Awesome Book to Add to the Series!!
Also I am looking forward to reading more of Aubree Valentine’s Writing.
Olivia and Jameson have history. He’s the guy she loves to hate. She’s the girl he can’t help but love. When tragedy finally brings them together, will foolish pride undo it all? Love Under Construction is a whirlwind. From tearful goodbyes to remorseful hellos, Valentine appeals to emotions that make up who we are and help us become what we’re meant to be.
Another hit for the 425 Madison Avenue series.
A first read for me by Aubree Valentine. It was a shorter book but still great! There was angst and hurt and passion all the things that make up a good romance novel.
A classic example that sometimes the one meant for you is the one right in front of you that you’ve known forever.
Pick it up. All the 425 Madison Ave series are standalone though some names pop up through every book.
Oh where to start… how about Incredible, fantastic, emotional, heartwarming & a total love story. I totally fell in love with Jameson. He might even be better than Leo Wakeman. This story with Olivia had so many emotions running through me when she went back home. I actually cried, which is not often when I read books but this one got to me so much. Olivia, Jameson & his parents are amazing as well as Olivia’s dad. This story is full of banter, fun, but love, passion and raw emotions. Its an Incredible read one that you will undeniably love xx
This was an enjoyable book. The writing didn’t flow the best and sometimes felt there were parts missing or could have been elaborated on. It took me a little while to read as I wasn’t completely sucked in to the story. Over all it was an enjoyable read.
I didn’t put it down. This story hooked me in right away. Jameson has always protected Olivia even if she doesn’t know it he tries to show her how much he cares in so may different ways but she never seems to get it. Sometimes love needs a push, which is just what her dad has been doing for a long time.
A wonderfully well written short romance story. This enjoyable storyline is a grwat addition to to the Madison series and can be read as a standalone. I really love how this romance captivated me with its complicated feelings pulling at my heart thru this emotional and dramatic enemies to lovers story. These characters had great chemistry that really shines and finally wins out when these to are finally brought together thru tragedy. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
