Hating the guy who ruined her confidence would be a lot easier if he wasn’t so freaking sexy.
For Addy, small-town life is just perfect. She’s about to expand her inn with ten new rooms and a petting zoo, and she’s helping the mayor’s son organize his wedding. If only her pet duck would stop escaping all the time, her days would be an absolute breeze. But then Justin Miller shows up at Addy’s … breeze.
But then Justin Miller shows up at Addy’s check-in desk. The guy went from small-town stud to lead actor in a popular series, and he’s behaving exactly like the celebrity he is. Smug grins, dimples to die for, and hordes of women chasing him all over town.
Addy has no intention of letting him in her life again—not after what happened in high school. So what if he keeps trying to prove he’s changed? No amount of helicopter rides and intimate outings will change the truth:
Justin Miller is nothing but trouble.
Love to Prove You Wrong is a sweet romantic comedy and the second book in the Old Pine Cove series. All books share the same setting, but each story features a different couple.

Love to prove you wrong is the second book in the Old Pine Cove series and can be read as a standalone.
In this book you get to meet Addy, the owner of the local inn. She has her hands full with an upcoming wedding (and the hilarious Diane, I love her character so much) when old nemesis Justin books himself into her inn and into her life…
This story is fun and engaging. The characters are well written and you find yourself relating to them easily.
I loved that some of the people from the first book made an appearance, but if you haven’t read book 1, you can still connect all the dots and understand everything.
I’m a big fan of Sophie’s writing. Her books keep getting better and I’m already looking forward to book 3 in this great serie…
This was my first time reading this author’s work. I was absorbed by the book from the first page and couldn’t put it down. Steamy clean romance, fun characters, and a great plot. I will absolutely be looking for more by the author and will definitely be reading this one again!
I loved this book! A true rom-com at its best. I laughed out loud at so many places (which is not something I do a lot while reading). A great read!
This one is a cute, quick, and clean rom-com. Hollywood heartthrob and former high school bully (at least for Addy), Justin Miller, is back in Old Pine Cove and he’s staying at Addy’s inn. Addy is determined to continue her intense dislike of Justin. Justin is determined to make Addy admit that she really doesn’t hate him. The story is entertaining, but it really doesn’t move all that much until the last chapter. About 75% of the way through I was starting to get annoyed with the lack of change but at that point decided it was too late to quit. In many respects, Addy and Justin seemed like they were in their teens instead of in their mid-twenties. There were many things to like in this book, there were also plenty of things that were annoying.
This was a cute book and an interesting storyline. There were some editing problems that irritated me.
If you like stories that the characters get together from get go this story is not for you. This is a very slow moving story. They get their happy ending but it’s hard won.
Cute story
A mind-blowing story of a marvelous ideal love!
Addy is such a great character. I was drawn in from the beginning, laughing throughout the entire book. I can’t wait to read more from Sophie. I definitely recommend this.
Unfortunately, this book just didn’t do it for me, I didn’t find it believable. She pushed him away too much and was so rude I just didn’t see the male character continuing to pursue her the way he did.
Decent book for the price (free). Certainly not the most realistic of scenarios, but was well-written and entertaining enough for an easy read.
Easy, fun read!
It kept me wanting to me reading
A fun read!
This is a fun read. What happens when boys taunting crush turns into adult male mega crush. Going to take a bit to heal her teen pain and distrust. I loved the goldilocks trope in the middle. I love the mom-in-law character humor/angst. Hot kisses… but if you are looking for body gymnastics sex, there is none. Yea! Nothing for me to have to skim past.
Sweet, clean romance. Justin made Addy’s time at school a nightmare. He returns to town as a well known actor. Although she sees him as her nemesis he is determined to break through her barriers so that they can find their happily ever after.
Charming and funny enemies-to-lovers story.
Even though this is book #2 in the series, it absolutely works as a standalone story (book #1 is still on my TBR pile).
I had a lot of fun getting to know Addy and Justin and the quirky folks – and quirkier critters! – of Old Pine Cove, and I found myself rooting for Justin on his quest to win Addy over. There were some truly hilarious moments as well as swoon-worthy kisses, and Sophie-Leigh Robbins paints such a vivid picture that I could totally see this as a Hallmark-ish movie.
Looking forward to reading more in the series!
Love to Prove You Wrong by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a laugh-out-loud and fantastic read.
Can Justin prove to Addy that he isn’t the same jerk he was in high school?
Addison Grant
Addison Grant, more commonly known as Addy, is our main character and point of view one as well. Addy has a lot on her plate, and dealing with her ex bully from high school wasn’t something that she was planning on handling. She has the wedding to do, a duck to keep from getting loose, and whatever else the town throws at her. Despite all of that, she still keeps on running into Justin. Addy loves to make lists, to-dos, or to remind herself of what she has to do later on. She also loves to bake and has made sure to watch what she is eating so that she doesn’t fall back on the promise to herself.
What I love about Addison is that yes, she is a small-town girl, but she isn’t ashamed of it. She thinks positively about a lot of things and people. Addy used to be a bit overweight, but she has grown a lot since that girl, and she now loves her body and is where she wants to be in life. Both in how she looks and mentally as well.
Justin Miller
Justin Miller is the celebrity that has gone from small-town life to making it big in Hollywood. Except he doesn’t feel like he has everything and that he is missing something in his life. Justin is the best man at his friend’s wedding and has come to Old Pine Cove to rethink his life as an actor. Or at least to decide if he genuinely still wants it. A lot happens for Justin in this book, and I loved all of it. Even though we see everything from Addison’s point of view, but it’s still great to see how he truly wants something with Addy.
What I love about Justin is that when he knows that he wants something, he doesn’t stop until he gets it.
Five Stars
Love to Prove You Wrong by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a hilarious novel. Ms. Robbins has done another excellent job with this series. I love these characters, and I love how goofy Addy and Justin are together. This book is worthy of five stars and a recommendation to everyone that reads romantic comedies.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Love to Prove you Wrong is the second book in the Old Pine Cove series, this time starring the lovely and sweet Addy.
Addy runs the towns in and dreams of opening a petting zoo to accompany it. She’s stressed out between hosting a huge wedding and planning for the spring picnic. When on top of it her high school nemesis Justin returns to town for the wedding and stay on the down low now that he’s an actor.
Addy is still holding onto old wounds from high school while Justin wants to prove to her he’s not the same guy he was at 16. It’s a push and pull between the two through the story but they sure do make it engaging and interesting!
I couldn’t get enough of these two, I loved how much growth Justin’s Character showed and Addy is adorable. Sophie writes her characters so well you feel like you’re visiting old friends when you pick up one of her books. Her characters are funny, witty and charming which are always a great combo. It’s an engaging and quick read once you start because you won’t want to put it down. I cannot wait to read Olive’s story next!
4.7/ 5 stars
Addy is just trying to do her job, run her inn, and make a wedding come off with no hitches. While trying to handle all this, in walks her past nemesis, the guys who crushed her in high school. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the angst and amazing chemistry between Addy and Justin.
Love to Prove You Wrong is the perfect feel-good, funny, romantic story—full of wonderful characters who captured my heart. I loved my visit to Old Pine Cove where I reconnected with the people I met in book #1, Snowflakes and Sparks and learned more about some of the others. I can’t wait to go back for another visit.
