Having stolen a lovesick warlock’s last two hellhounds, Grace Elizabeth Adair, a healing witch, has been lying low in Callington for months, half fearing, half hoping their passionate master will show up to claim his hounds and perhaps notice her. The day he arrives, not only does she catch his eye, but also that of his fiendish dark fae mother.… also that of his fiendish dark fae mother.
Devlin Chase Dewer is bent on retrieving his hellhounds from a thieving witch so he can complete a mission to rid the Tower of London of an infestation of underworld creatures. If he succeeds, he will gain the approval of the Warlock Council, and be in a better position to wreck his revenge on the Coven Protrectress who broke his heart and the Church Guard she chose over him.
All his plans for reprisal wash away, however, when he is unexpectedly drawn to the enchanting light-fingered witch. Still, Dewer knows this new ill-thought longing is unlikely to lead anywhere. If witches and warlocks constantly warring with each other wasn’t enough to spoil any chance at his and Grace’s relationship lasting longer than a one night encounter, his witch-hating mother has shown up, intent on putting a spoke in his romantic inclinations.

This witchy warlock love story is a good one. It is sort of historical with a lot of witch and warlock information thrown in. There are lords and ladies. There is also an evil half fae and half witch mother who is possessive of her son Devlin whom she calls Devil. A witch has her work cut out for her in order to win her Devil. This was a really good book and I enjoyed reading it. I would highly recommend it.

Feisty Grace is a healing witch; Dewer is a mix of warlock and Fae. Grace would like to get to know Dewer better, but it’s an uphill battle with her Wyhcan family and his dark Fae mother. The characters in this story are delightful and unexpected.

I am really enjoying Shereen Vedam’s “Love Spell in London”. She has done a wonderful job of marrying the paranormal romance genre with the Regency romance genre. This story is sweetly intriguing – how does a dedicated villain win the hand of a softhearted healer? Maybe the villain is not so dedicated and softhearted does not mean soft-headed. And seriously, gentlemen are badly disadvantaged when they are not allowed to contradict ladies – even when the ladies want said gentlemen, however villainous, to do something totally outside his comfort zone.

The adventure continues as the bewitching Grace, plots to get to know Dewer better against the wishes of her Wyccan family, and his dangerous dark Fae mother. Further complicated by a water god, a demon, Lucifer, various demonic minions, and cast of intriguing other characters this twisty plot will definitely hold your attention with humor and surprises. Magical and fun adventure
