We’re back in Portland – in the apartment building where most of the Stage Dive boys and girls live.
And new rock star Adam lives here too.
His first album has been a huge hit. And every single song was written about his heartbreak … from breaking up with Jill.
That’s why she’s here too. She wants to talk about the check he sent her. She doesn’t want that money! Money he made by being horrible to her in all those songs!
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN – because all those old feelings are still very much there as soon as they’re in a room together!
Aww … adorable.
Back in the Stage Dive World!
Oh Mal – how we missed you!!! He’s the best thing about any and all Stage Dive books – sorry other guys and girls, but Mal is the greatest. Idiot. Mostly. But still – I just adore him.
I just copied these ↑ last few lines from my previous reviews – because it’s still the truth! Mal was again the secret star in this novella! He’s just adorable and silly and ridiculous! I love him!
But I also adored Adam and Jill. They so obviously belong together!
And it’s really adorable to see them argue their way to that happy end!
This short novella was very funny, sparky, sexy, adorable … and I loved reading it – I just loved being back in the Stage Dive world for a little while!
I wouldn’t have minded a full-length story for Adam and Jill. But this cute little thing was really great too!
ARC received for an honest review – thank you!
Woot woot! Happy dance! Daggy dance! Heck, anything that can show my excitement at being back in the Stage Dive world!
I love these 1001 Nights stories. I love that I get a bit more of the Stage Dive family (let’s be honest, any slice of Mal that I can get, I will take) however I love that we are introduced to the extended family of the Stage Dive world, and that I can read these as stand alones if I wanted to.
We have met Adam in passing in previous books, but it was great to get to know him better.
And gah, this was a story that I didn’t know that I needed, but I am so glad that Ms Scott decided to gift us with it.
Adam and Jill’s story is sad, and sweet, and sexy and hot. It is a bit of a rollercoaster really, and I went from not liking Adam to adoring him. I could completely feel Jill’s uneasiness at how things are now, and don’t blame her for being cautious when it comes to Adam as he is today.
But – rockstars: whatcha gonna do? I love love loved seeing more of the Stage Dive ladies, and of course my drummer-love Mal.
I could read a new story about Stage Dive every day and never get sick of it.
I hope we get more int he future.
Jill Schwartz broke up with rockstar Adam Dillion for being a bad boyfriend but when she receives something in the mail, she decides to confront him. How will that go? This is a sweet novella in the stage dive world about misunderstandings and second chances. Loved the cameos! Part of the 1,001 dark nights series.
My only complaint with this story is it is way to short. Stage Dive is one of my favorite series. I read it at least once a year, and will take anything I can get in this world. Adam and Jill haven’t seen each other since breaking up a year ago. Will the love they had for each other bring them back together, or is it to late for them? This is another enjoyable read by Kylie Scott.
I can’t begin to say how much I loved this novella. I felt like I was back home where it all started for my loving rockstar romance. With David, Mal, Jimmy, and Ben and of course, all their beautiful wives, it was a family reunion of sorts. I’ve missed them so much that I’m going to reread the whole series again because of this novella.
Adam, Kylie Scott’s newest sizzling hot rockstar, is cut from the same mold as Stage Dive’s characters. He just needs love to see him through. It comes in the form of his former girlfriend, Jill, who’s not sure Adam has what it takes to be boyfriend material.
I’m in love all over again with a rockstar!

Love Song was a Stage Dive Novella by Kylie Scott. It could easily be read as a stand-alone; however, having already read the series, I enjoyed the secondary characters just as much as the primary characters!
Adam Dillon was the new darling of Rock-n-Roll that we met in previous books. He wrote all of the songs on his debut album, which just so happened to be about the heartbreak from his ex-girlfriend dumping him.
Jill Schwartz was said ex. She was beautiful, feisty, sarcastic and independent. I loved her perspective on their relationship and how she communicated it.
I loved the beginning. It was a great way to start the storyline. Scott provided humor, background and spunk all wrapped in one. It set the stage perfectly for what to expect and I wasn’t disappointed!
As a novella, it was uber short but Scott wrote it in a way that I felt both characters and could feel the story. Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved a longer story because the characters are lovable, but I didn’t feel cheated by the length and I bought into their connection and sarcastic bantering. They were fun and awesome characters so hopefully we’ll see more of both them in future books.
This is a standalone novella in the 1001 Dark Nights Series which introduce readers to the author’s world. For fans it is a bonus book about the characters they already love.
In Love Song you are taken into the Stage Dive World by Kylie Scott.
Adam Dillon is the new darling of the music industry. He is singing, touring and writing songs but is now finding success it isn’t everything. Jill Schwartz is his ex girlfriend who kicked him out as he was a poor boyfriend.
Adam has sent Jill a very large cheque to repay her for all her support when he was trying to make it as a musician. He has written a whole album about their break up so everyone knows she broke his heart . But as usual there are two sides to a story.
She manages to persuade Adam’s manager to let her speak to him and they end up in his car going to his apartment. The story concentrates on them working through all the things they didn’t say when they broke up.
We hear her side of the story and hear what Adam was like as her boyfriend.
Can Adam persuade Jill to stay and listen to his side?
All the Stage Dive guys appear and I loved how their other halves all have their say on Adam and Jill’s relationship. It is amazing sometimes that other people see things the couple involved don’t.
This is a quick, easy to read, funny and sexy short. There is great banter from the Stage Dive guys and Mal is hilarious as usual. Adam and Jill certainly make good use of his kitchen!
There is a very good playlist to go with this novella.

If you haven’t yet read a Kylie Scott book then this would be a great introduction to her and her writing and this fantastic series from her. She will have you falling hard for the swoon worthy rocker. This short novella certainly packs a punch and gives you quite the appetite for the Stage Dive crew.
Adam and Jill had a hard break up a few years ago leaving them with some lingering pain and resentment. When they see each other again it does not go smoothly but its obvious to those around that the old feelings are still very much there. Adam has realised that his life is missing something…. Jill.
It was great seeing the rest of the Stage Dive crew, i have missed them.
Nothing says ‘I love you’ like writing an entire album dedicated to what a heartbreaker your ex is, and romance is most definitely not on Jill Schwartz’s mind once she decides to confront her former boyfriend and current superstar, Adam Dillon. Jill has plenty to say to Adam, and it’s not a rave review of the music that has made him famous while painting a less than stellar picture of her and their relationship. But when Jill finally gets face time with Adam, he’s not the same guy that she so famously kicked out her life.
There’s something to be said for the whole ‘he said, she said,’ Mars/Venus thing, at least to Adam’s way of thinking. The life that he’s living is drastically different than the one he shared with Jill, and so is he. How does he show her that he’s a different guy now, and that the miscommunication and immaturity are a thing of the past? Some super-steamy sexy time and one love song later, and Jill can finally see Adam in a new light, which is just what the Love Doctor ordered.
Believe it or not, although I’ve long heard about the awesome books in the Stage Dive series by Kylie Scott, I am a newbie to the guys and the women who love them. Why would I pick up LOVE SONG, with that being the case? First, it’s from 1001 Nights, and, two, it just sounded like something that was right up my alley. I’m happy to say that it does not disappoint, and now that I’ve entered the world of Stage Dive, I have a lot of catching up to do. LOVE SONG itself is humorous, sweet, sexy, and the perfect tidbit for fans of this series, I would expect. Dive in and enjoy.

Love Song is second chance love story within the Stage Dive series in the 1001 Dark Nights. It’s a quick read novella but you get a glimpse of Mal and Jimmy and their wives which is always a plus.
Adam Dillion has finally made it in the rock star world. Most all his songs are about his ex Jill. They had a blow up of a breakup and haven’t talked in a year until Jill shows up in Adam’s SUV after a show to discuss why he sent her a seven figure check. He thinks he owes her, she wants to know why.
The chemistry is hot right from the start. Being alone with Adam is a terrible idea but Jill came for answers and doesn’t want to leave until she has them. Even if that means confronting the feelings she thought she was long over.
Love Song is a quick read but is packed with sexy sweet moments. l would love a full length novel of this couple. But I can’t ever be sad with small glimpses of Mal!

Always love revisiting the Stage Dive book world! Jill broke up with Adam before he made it big because he was so consumed with his music career that he was a really bad boyfriend, but now that he’s a star it seems his career is focused around his bad feelings about Jill. Going to confront him at his show in town after he sends her a check that she wants nothing to do with, this couple is thrown together when the press finds out who Jill is in relation to him and his music. Thankfully being thrown together and addressing everything worked in their favor and they find their way back to each other with additional help from the Stage Dive family. Loved this short story bringing us back to this book world!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This fast paced Novella centered in the Stage Dive world is all about second chances and love songs. Like any good love song it told of heartbreak through two sets of eyes and of a love that had never gone away. Dillan and Jill’s story was feisty, fun, flirty and entertaining. Their story had heat, steam and took us back to visit with a few of our old favourites. A great addition to this series that left me with a big smile on my face and possibly wanting just a little more, but hey that might just be me being greedy and enjoying my time back with the guys and gals from Stage Dive.
4 Second Chance Stars
Love Song is a second chance romance set in the Stage Dive World by Kylie Scott. Adam has achieved success after being brutally dumped by his girlfriend the love of his life he writes an album that shoots him to fame as fast as you can say love.
Jill is out to find Adam and shove his money back in his face and while she’s at it ask him why in the whole time they were together he never once told her he loved her but wrote a whole album about her.
This is a short but enjoyable read that entertained me thoroughly. I also loved seeing previous characters for past books this made an enjoyable story great for me.
Kylie Scott delivers another great romance with Love Song. I’m already a big fan of her deliciously witty and sexy rockstars and the wonderful women they love. Adam and Jill’s second-chance romance was everything I love about Kylie Scott’s writing and her Stage Dive world. Equal parts steamy, funny, and swoony and wholly entertaining this is a must read for diehard fans and for those just discovering her writing. 5 stars.
I have been waiting for this story. I was looking forward to knowing about Rocker Adam and his ex Jill Schwartz. Readers really got to know about him. Adam and Jill really suffered most from miscommunication among other things. As always it always a treat to check-in with the Stage Dive crew. Of course, a certain drummer was up to his usual antics. My only wish is that it was a little bit longer. Overall, I enjoyed this story.
Second chance romances are some of my favorite reads…
Add in Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive world and an up and coming rock star making his way to the top by sacrificing every thing else, including his girl friend, and what readers get is one heck of an entertaining, steamy, a bit angsty read that makes me want to do a reread of the entire series.
Adam Dillon just so happens to live in the same apartment complex as most of the Stage Dive crew, and while Adam achieved his dream, his biggest regret, the love of his life, needed more from him that he could give at the time, leaving both of them with regrets and a whole lot of relationship baggage to sift through, which means that when Jill Schwartz, the one that got away, walks back into his life, trying again to be together isn’t going to happen overnight, not with the things that still have to be hashed out, even though it’s clear that the love’s still there.
Any time I get to catch up with some of my absolute favorite rock stars and their amazing families, I’m all for it, and Love Song allowed me to do just that; it also gave me the opportunity to meet a new Kylie Scott hero and heroine – two characters who are given a second chance to be together and despite the heartbreak they caused each other, despite how Adam used his pain to create an album that shot him up the charts, hopefully the love that still exists between them is enough for them to create a new love song – one that will sustain the test of time.

“Love can hurt like a bitch.
But it can be beautiful, too.”
Even though this was a small novel, i really enjoyed it and i was so happy that for once again, I was thrown into the “Stage Dive” world and I saw all of my favorite characters for once again!!! Hello, Mal and your idiotic, but sooo adorable ways!!!
Of course, welcome Adam Dillon, new star in the music industry who is living in the same building as the rest of the crew and he is close friends with them…
Add to the mix, Jill, his ex and what a lovely result was that!!!
Well, Adam and Jill had a bad breakup who left them with a bad taste on the mouth, especially to Jill…
As for Adam??? This breakup made him… famous!!!
All of his songs were talking about that coldhearted bitch that had break his heart, and guess what??? That bitch is about to step for once again into his life and the things are about to get complicated for once again…
So, let’s the fun begin!!!
It was so enjoyable to see Adam and Jill battered each other in order to compromise…
Even though it was a serious situation, i couldn’t hold my smile back when they were arguing, or I guess Jill was arguing and Adam was keeping his chill intact…
But what will happen when will they realize that their feelings never got away, even though they stopped being together???
I really liked this couple…
Yep, I could see why their relationship turned out infunctional, but when there are feelings, maybe you should try a little bit harder…
Or maybe, you just have to let go the other and maybe one day… the one that got away will return back to you.
“You kicked me out.”
“You took me for granted.”
“You blocked my number.”
“You behaved like an emotionally repressed immature asshole, and I didn’t want to talk to you. So there…”
“I loved you!”…
“You did?”

High-octane rock star novella…
Adam. Jill. Fairly common names but these characters were anything but ordinary. Adam fit right into the Stage Dive family with his love and talent for music. He was laid back, seemed like a take it as it came along kind of guy. Jill? Well, her personality shone brightly from the riveting dressing down she greeted her ex with after a year of trying to let it all go. That conversation set the tone for this story and it was reading gold. Funny, heart-felt, her words grabbed my attention and so did their relationship. While this bite-sized story was short on words (I wanted sooo many more) it had all the elements to make a great read – drama, warm characters and funny, supportive secondary characters already known and loved. If you haven’t visited the Stage Dive world yet this is a great introduction but be warned. You will never want to leave…
*Reviewed for Nerdy Dirty & Flirty
This is one of those stories that you can easily devour in one sitting and that’s kind of a bad thing – if you want it to go on longer. And I certainly did. I loved getting to know Adam and Jill for this short stint, but I also wanted to know more about them, delve further into their world and their relationship, how it came to be and how it ended before they reunited and also, more of what it was like when they got back together. Other than that, I really liked this book and I loved being immersed in the Stage Dive world again, I loved that they had pretty awesome cameos in this book. I really missed them! But anyway, if you like your books short and sweet, this book certainly fits that and more. It’s another winner for one of my favorite go-to authors.
This is a short novella so it doesn’t go into too much depth with Jill and Adam but with it being a second chance romance there is a connection already formed between the characters that isn’t usually there in novellas. Jill and Adam are ex’s who didn’t end on a good note however he used the experience to write some “rage” songs about their relationship and skyrocketed towards fame. Jill was great; she didn’t like the lies about her in the songs but she was happy that he found success. I am a sucker for books where the male misses and longs for the one he lost so this was right up my alley. It was so good the see the Stage Dive group again, especially Mal’ craziness… I am going to have to do a reread of that series soon!
