A Warlocks MacGregor Novel
Contemporary Scottish Paranormal Romance
A little magickal mischief never hurt anyone…
Erik MacGregor is from a clan of ancient Scottish warlocks. He isn’t looking for love. After centuries, it’s not even a consideration…until he moves in next door to Lydia Barratt. It’s clear that the shy beauty wants nothing to do with him, but he’s drawn to her and determined to … her and determined to win her over.
The last thing Lydia Barratt needs is a demanding Scottish man meddling in her private life. Just because he’s gorgeous and totally rocks a kilt doesn’t mean she’s going to fall for his seductive manner.
But Erik won’t give up and just as Lydia lets her guard down, his sister decides to get involved. Her little love potion prank goes terribly wrong, making Lydia the target of his sudden embarrassingly obsessive behavior. They’ll have to find a way to pull Erik out of the spell fast when it becomes clear that Lydia has more than a lovesick warlock to worry about.
Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who may or may not be wielding love potion magick in an effort to prank their older brother, and who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while reading a book. But trying to Imagine a hunky Scottish warlock dancing around in his kilt (nope, he wasn’t wearing anything underneath) while singing was enough to drive me into hysterics.
Well done!!! I truly can’t remember the last time I’ve enjoyed a book so much. I’ve definitely found a new favorite author. I had to buy the entire series.
I found this series and Author by accident, I was looking for something new to read in the paranormal/ historical realm. and came across this funny little set of books. The McGregor family is hysterical each member is a warlock or witch with a certain power. the entire family is now relocated from NYC to The midwest and the first book catches you right away. I’ currently in the middle of book 5, and I’m loving it. If you love hot, funny, and flirty Scotsmen with a little bit of magic mixed in. oh and Uncle Rayburne is a panic.
I laughed so much in places at the antics of the family’s mischievous pranks…could not put the book down!! I strongly advise to not read in public places…although I was able to refer the book to one person at the park!!
Love Potions introduces a cool magickal mythology…
Erik and the MacGregor clan are immortal warlocks, with interesting powers. Unassuming “Lotion Lady” Lydia, granddaughter of the “witch on the hill” in Green Vallis just wants to live in the background. When Erik comes to Green Vallis and meets Lydia their world is rocked, literally. Witty repartee and magickal pranks keep you smiling or outright laughing while other paranormal entities pose threats of death or worse. This twisty tale is a great read.
It was good but to get the ending you have to buy another book.
This was a great start to a series that appears to be a very amusing series. I thoroughly enjoyed these characters and found myself laughing throughout the book. The narrator did a great job in making my favorite funny moments even funnier. A great job all the way around by both the author and the narrator. I can’t wait to move on to the next one.
Yeah, Noooo
There are very messed up priorities in this book. The oral fixation is weird. The fact that her best friend is passed out and his brother is in a coma, yet they are all too happy to forget about that and boff like bunnies. Nothing magical but grandma’s ghost is real and can talk to you seems to lack logic on her part when dealing with her friend. Overall, there really no logic or cohesion to the story. The magical system just seems to be thrown together. The plot is weird. The pacing rushed and the actions of the characters don’t make sense.
Brilliant, extremely funny full of never ending action with enough magical mayhem to keep
everyone entertained including the crazy Scottish characters.
Author Michelle Pillow is over flowing with her amazing imagination and inspirational worlds she creates for to to enjoy and be a part of.
Lydia and Eric take romantic soul mates to a whole new level, while Lydia tries her damdest to not be swayed or tricked by the magical warlock she cannot keep her hands off, his stubborn arrogance cheeky demeanour and natural charm continually find ways to lower her guards.
But considering the magical power Lydia suddenly finds she has over Eric its really hilarious watching how these two lovers continually find themselves up against each through a battle of wills.
Even though every day since meeting the. Clan her life has ended up battling some type
spiritual, magical or evil power all apparently flowing in one direction, towards her, Eric is able to get under her skin and almost immediately becomes in integral part of her mentally and emotionally
so we witness a continuing battle of wills between the two.
A magnificent storyline that keeps you glued to each pages along with the never ending battle of trying to rid their lives of the drama and danger that continually weaves itself into every positive step they take.
A fascinating whirlwind of mysterious adventures as these two intriguing people learn to deal with the intense emotional romantic enfolding them while supernatural entities use everything available to grab the power brewing around themselves and their love.
Definitely a worthwhile read that keeps you chuckling along with these fun loving characters.
Love the story. Funny romantic and enchanting all in one book.
This story grabbed my in for fantastic journey.
I enjoyed reading.
Handsome Scots with alluring manly accents, what’s not to love. Laugh out loud fun and wonderful characters. The truth of it all, they didn’t need love potions but it made for great reading!
Fun, lighthearted read. Lots of silly banter between family members and coming together to face an external threat. Magic and mayhem.
I loved this book, the first of a series. Lydia Barratt is a shy woman living in a small town. She owns the house, which was left to her by her grandmother, and she runs her business from the house. Her business is Love Potions, and using her grandmother’s recipes she makes lotions and soaps etc for the locals and for her online customers. Her grandmother was always referred to by the town as a witch.
Everything is fine until she meets Erik MacGregor, who is in town buying the property next door to her for his whole clan to live in. She doesn’t know that the clan are all ancient powerful warlocks originally from Scotland.
There is instant chemistry between Lydia and Erik, which they both try to deny, but to no avail. Meantime there is an old powerful evil trying to destroy them all.
Love Potions is a fun paranormal romance by Michelle M. Pillow. Ms. Pillow has delivered a book that will keep readers entertained with a smile on their faces. Erik has found a property that will suit his family of warlocks…but he needs to get the neighbor to sell out and move. Lydia loves living in her grandmother’s house and would never sell it. Erik and Lydia’s story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and magic. I enjoyed reading Love Potions and look forward to reading more from this author. Love Potions is book 1 of the Warlocks MacGregor Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Fun!
This was such a “fun” story to read with interesting and really lovely characters – all of them!
I thoroughly enjoyed the story too, with all its twists and turns and really great humor. I would definitely like to read more from this author.
Loved this series! Waiting for the next one
Totally enjoyed this book. Could not put it down.
This book was so fun to read! I loved watching the family always getting into trouble, it reminds me of what it was like when I grew up. I loved the way the relationship between Lydia and Erik blossomed over time. Erik especially kept me entertained. I really love all of Michelle’s books! This one is just one of the many!
Read one, only one, in this series
