A Warlocks MacGregor Novel
Contemporary Scottish Paranormal Romance
A little magickal mischief never hurt anyone…
Erik MacGregor is from a clan of ancient Scottish warlocks. He isn’t looking for love. After centuries, it’s not even a consideration…until he moves in next door to Lydia Barratt. It’s clear that the shy beauty wants nothing to do with him, but he’s drawn to her and determined to … her and determined to win her over.
The last thing Lydia Barratt needs is a demanding Scottish man meddling in her private life. Just because he’s gorgeous and totally rocks a kilt doesn’t mean she’s going to fall for his seductive manner.
But Erik won’t give up and just as Lydia lets her guard down, his sister decides to get involved. Her little love potion prank goes terribly wrong, making Lydia the target of his sudden embarrassingly obsessive behavior. They’ll have to find a way to pull Erik out of the spell fast when it becomes clear that Lydia has more than a lovesick warlock to worry about.
Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who may or may not be wielding love potion magick in an effort to prank their older brother, and who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love.

Oh My Goodness!! I laughed till I thought I’d cry! The characters are so entertaining with they’re shenanigans that you can’t put the book down. You have your no nonsense girl with a stoic man that are trying to not get tangled up then throw in a love potion the comedy begins!! This is a laugh out loud book that truly keeps you glued to the story!! A must read.
Love the story hate that the number of pages related to the story is false.
I would not recommend this book. I only chose 1 star, because it wouldn’t let me review it otherwise. I think I got to the 2nd (MAYBE) 3rd chapter before they were throwing down, I mean she was dropping to her knees for a guy she just met! There was no “steam”. Where’s the romance? The build up to steam? It seems like so many books start out with promise, have such good premises (like this one) and then after a “Hey, How ya doin?” they’re at it like rabbits! It reminds me of how they used to describe 70’s porn. No story, no lead in, just straight sex.
If that’s your thing, then you’ll live this book.
Hi the hero’s first thought is to cast a spell to lower the heroine’s inhibitions, then he plans on sex and to erase her mind. It doesn’t get better. There’s a family if Scottish warlocks in small town USA. The “kids” are over 400 years old but have the maturity of teenagers.
I kept hoping it would get better but end up reading something else quickly to get the story out of my mind.
Characters were cute but at times confusing to understand. Story was just there with no real pop effect.
These long-lived Scots are just what the doctor ordered!
They may have been on the move for centuries, the whole non-aging thing being a giveaway, but the family that moves together stays together. That doesn’t mean that all things MacGregor are plain sailing. These are true Scots – they can say what they like about each other, prank each other, nearly kill each other – but an outsider tries the same??? Watch them take down an enemy fast as lightning!
Erik may not be looking for love but fate can be a fickle thing and he’s getting a HEA whether he wants it or not! Lydia is perfectly happy with her business, pottering around with her herb, flowers and lotions but magic is about to invade her life.
The MacGregors put the fun in dysfunctional and if you take away the magic then you basically get my very mixed heritage but Scottish family LOL. Even the pranks, well ours are waaaaaay less dangerous. It was great to see a Scottish family that didn’t sound like a cartoon – very few writers can get the accents right, even when written down.
Get ready for some magical mayhem. Oh and if Raibert asks you anything, the answer is always NOOOOOOOO!
