This story is the beginning of a wonderful adventurous series. Full of family love, drama and so much laughter.
You can’t control how people will react to family secrets and just things that are out of your hands. If you find the right person to love you will enjoy the ride call life.
Reggie is a beautiful, fun and loyal lady. She loves her family dearly and she knows that they will always have her back. She knows what’s she wants and goes for it.
She finds love and happiness. Their love journey was an emotional rollercoaster of miscommunication. Once they dropped all the anger and spoke to each other. They found that they are soulmates and that love conquers all.
This is a fantastic story and I absolutely recommend this amazing series!
Nothing beats a classic. This was probably my favorite of the Malory saga. I think she could have stopped here, quite honestly. But I love a series and no one has quite done a series like Ms Lindsey.
I love Johanna Lindsey’s books. The Mallory family series keeps my interest through all the books and I just want more. Unconventional, witty, surprising and ultimately, happy. Luckily, she has created a large family with many tales to follow.
Love Only Once is the first book in the Malory-Anderson Families series and it was just a great way to start off a new series. I just loved getting to read this story and meet these wonderful characters. It was just such a quick and easy read. I just didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this series.
It has been many years since I first read of Regan & Nicholas. Now listening to the story brought back all my delight in the tale. The Mallory’s are quite the family and Regan is well loved.
The characters in the story are strong and not a little bit stubborn with a heavy dose of pride. Oh what trouble stubborn pride can get into.
Lauralton Merlington has a voice I could listen to for hours. She did a wonderful job narrating and bringing these characters to life.
Regina Ashton is off visiting her rake Uncle Tony. Suddenly she is kidnapped and compromised (completely) by Lord Nicholas Eden. He did as a prank, he thought she was his mistress who had just broken up with him. His ex mistress Selena also told him she is seeing Tony Malory. Well the joke is now on her. Reggie is pregnant and the scandal brings her “Pirate” Uncle James back home and the Malory family bands together to make sure Nicholas (who both Tony and James hate) marry Reggie. He does and has many issues of his own. Reggie works quite hard to prove to Nicholas he is worthy and loved while keeping his bitch of a mother far far away from them both!
The beginning of a wonderful Malory/Anderson series.
Parts were super cringe-worthy. I think much of the reason I dislike regency romance is the “questionable consent” that so often happens. This was written in the 80’s about the something-a-long-time-ago-hundreds so I’m trying to give it a pass.
I adored Reggie ~ her attitude and humor probably kept this from being a 2. Her relationship with her uncles was wonderful. Nicholas was a jerk. The “big misunderstanding” went on waaaaaaayyyy too long. And then to stretch it even further we had 37 little misunderstandings in a row. They spent more time apart/fighting than together and their reunion was a little too “wrap it up in a bow” and fast. Not enough to really redeem him.
But I’m intrigued by the cast of characters introduced and feel compelled to keep reading the series.
Most romantic book ever!
A well crafted romance novel full of what else but romance and unexpected surprises. An expected page turner with happy ending, witty characters and plenty of heat.
Loved it!
