As a SEAL sniper it’s always the same, lock up your target in the cross hairs and don’t look away until you see the pink mist. It turns out murdering a man in his house at close range isn’t all that different.I knew killing that piece of sht meant I would have to run to the edge of the earth to escape my crime. Disappearing into the Canadian wilderness definitely fit the bill. I thought I’d found … bill.
I thought I’d found a perfect refuge from the law, from civilization and unfortunately, from women. I guess I was wrong about all three.
She thinks she’s tracking me. Hunting me. She doesn’t know I’m on her trail. With her long, flowing hair that I want to wrap around my fist and her thick, kissable lips, I couldn’t turn away. It was too much for this wild man to resist.
There’s hunger that has been growing inside me and I’m ready to eat.
I should have hung low. Stayed away. But, he was going to steal her innocence.
I kidnapped her to keep her safe, but when she looks at me with those big green eyes I know that’s a promise I can’t keep. I want my cck to be her first and last… I want to make her mine. To protect her from a monster like him, she needed a monster like me.

This is the second book in the Woodsman series by super-talented, super-sweet Eddie Cleveland. This follows the story of Abbie (the titular Virgin) and her boss, Cecil, as they traverse the northern Canadian wilderness, bounty hunting a fugitive killer. Abbie is a virgin in many senses of the word. Obviously, the first is she has never experienced carnal pleasure with a man. She has also never drank before, she’s never been to Canada, she never had a bounty-hunting or law enforcement job of any kind before and this is her first big case – possibly even her first ever case.
The other narrating character of this book is the also titular Woodsman, Cole McAllister. He has come to the Canadian wilderness to escape retribution for a crime committed after returning to the U.S. after a tour in the military. Cole is desperate to evade Cecil and Abbie and keep to his sanctuary in the woods that he’s made for himself. But will happen when they all cross paths with each other?
I have long been a fan of Mr. Cleveland’s work, ever since his first book, and this is no exception. Virgin for the Woodsman is a compelling tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat and your hand racing to turn the pages to find out what happens next. And, needless to say, the sexytimes scenes are off-the-chart, scorching hot. If you decide to give this one a try, you will not be disappointed. I wasn’t.
This was a nice story. Wasn’t what I usually lean towards, which is something believable, true to life, but still a enjoyable book. I always enjoy Eddie Cleveland’s writings!
Great story! Cole was an amazing human being. I was deeply hurt when I found out what happened to his sister. Abbie is an inexperienced girl trying to find her way in the real, unpredictable, messy world. Together they are perfect. The only thing that is starting to irk me is when the H doesn’t want the h to leave but won’t come out & say and vice versa. It has me screaming at my tablet for them to get a clue. Lol!! Of course, they eventually do & my blood pressure returns to normal
An irresistible read that captures your attention and holds it until the conclusion with the stirring plot, picturesque and powerful scene descriptions that leave you breathless, horrific danger, spine-chilling suspense, life-threatening incidents, humor, and hot-blooded romance. Of course, a happy ever after occurs that soothes the soul; but not until all the hurdles are conquered.
Deep in the woods of the Canadian Yukon hides a bold man with a haunted past; Cole McAllister is certainly a force to be reckoned with, his herculean build astounds you and his bewitching eyes mesmerize you. Cole’s protective/sensitive nature appears for the one that now holds his heart captive. Abbie Hart is quite intelligent, a green-eyed sultry beauty has a sassy lion-hearted persona and is an untouched maiden. The villain in this story is black-hearted.
Mr. Cleveland has a way of fusing reality and fantasy to make an engrossing story. Cole and Abbie are certainly praise-worthy characters, their back stories pull your heartstrings which help the reader visualize their sorrow. Mr. Cleveland’s passion and his keen mind for writing shine throughout this story. This romantic tale is quite convincing, showing the sincere adoration and loyalty that Cole and Abby have for each other. Racy dialogue and vivid scene descriptions amp up the romance. The conclusion of this story is heavenly and will certainly leave you wanting more from this gifted author. If you treasure fantasy romance this is definitely a fantastic book for your library. {I found this to be a most entertaining and gratifying read so I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this story.} Without reservations, I highly recommend this book and the author.
ARC review For honest review. This is a story of survival and love after Cole kills the man that raped his sister and he meets abbie. very good
Good erotic book.
He was such a goid person for her. Someone to take care of what all she needed.
Actually really enjoyed this book. They didn’t make a big deal about “seal”. I would recommend.
Thought I’d see how a male writer would write a romance. Agh.
Slow, predictable and boring. Heroine was too dim witted
It was not what I was looking for. It was your standard type romance novel. If that is your sort of thing you would probably really enjoy it. Hero rescues girl. Hero treats her very respectably and keeps his hands off despite his attraction…
I’ve already given a review. My user name is plainjane. Please look for it, I don’t want to repeat it.
The jist of it is ” wrong kind of sex writing “. See Diana Gabaldon’s book “I Give You My Body . . .”: How I Write Sex Scenes. Will help your writing to not be so jarring when readers get “cock and pussy”. I quit reading when I got to that point and never finished the book. I liked the book enough to take the trouble to write a review, usually when I read a free book and don’t like I just delete it with no review. I liked yours so much and would to like to read it edited.
Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books have a lot of sex but it is usually between married couples but still is a little steamy. Both my grown daughters have read it and they do not read erotic books and are regular church goers. They would not read your books.
Cole had just taken his last kill on a sniveling piece of crap. He knew he had to leave so he went up to the Yukon to get away. Abbie and her boss Cecil found out that he might be up by Whitehorse. On the plane ride up her boss was telling her about the whole mess. Walking around Whitehorse it seemed that no one knew Colt. Meanwhile Colt was in town and Big Dave told him he has to leave because they were looking for him. But, they didn’t know he was stalking them especially Abbie even into the forest. Cecil tries to attract Abbie and Cole is close enough to grab Cecil and knock him out. He grabs Abbie and takes her away with him to his little home/hideout. She tries to get away and as she is running and feels a snap and falls down on her ankle. Cole looking around finds where Abbie is and takes her back to the cave/home where he tends to her ankle. Days go by and Abbie finds out more about Cole especially about the murder of the senator’s son. She really wants Cole but he is trying not to touch her especially when he finds out she is a virgin. Abbie and Cole stayed together tightly as she knew he would try to take her back into town. It’s been awhile and. Abbie knows she is falling in love with him. Cole the next day left to go fishing for food and while he is out Cecil finds her and she thought he was dead. Cecil grabs Abbie about the throat as he is saying what he is going to do to her and Abbie couldn’t scream but Cole came in just the knick of time and pulls Cecil off of her and fights him until the gun goes off and Cole had been shot. Abbie backs Cecil to the back where the cliff was and stood in front of him to let him walk backwards. Cecil grabs Abbie as she starts to fall and Cole grabbed her to keep her from falling. Abbie sees Cecil’s body
and know he is dead. Abbie takes care of Coles wound as he tells her how to stitch up the wound. Abbie tells Cole she wants to stay with him so they go to find another home.
The story was romantic and at times funny. My biggest problem were the idea that no one believed nor practiced safe sex. I get this is fiction but the argument still stands
What a great read I enjoyed the characters and the journey. A sexy read
Terrible!
Enjoyed the book.
I like romance with a bit of excitement mixed in and this certainly did not disappoint.
