Love on the Line
Texas Tornadoes Book #2
Written and narrated by Lorana Hoopes
You never know the intricacies of someone’s life. It can appear they have the perfect life, yet behind the mask can lie painful secrets. Lorana Hoopes gives us a heartfelt story featuring Blaine Hollis. He is a quarterback for the Texas Tornadoes and seems to have it all. Good looks, great job, what could possibly be the matter with him? He meets Kenzi at the center and immediately is taken by her. Asking her to decorate his cabin is a way to keep contact, but with his secret, he knows they can never be together. Or can they? This story is so realistic, it hurts your heart and heals it back. I love the messages Hoopes puts in her books, each one letting us know with faith, things can work out. Blaine is hurting and Kenzi could be the balm to help him heal. Add in cameos from Tucker and Shelby from the first book in this series, and we are getting the sense of community and home. I am loving this! Loranna Hoopes enhances her own story with a fabulous narration, letting us feel the story as she has written it. It is one you do not want to miss!

This is a great book of Blaine and Kenzie’s relationship. Kenzie meets Blaine at a charity event at the community center she works at. Blaine is a pro football player. Blaine has a heavy burden he carries from the past and effects his life. Kenzie feels that Blaine can heal from the past with God’s help.
A sweet romance that shows how wonderful and what the impact on your life can be with God’s help!
Kenzi and Blaine both have hurts and skewed perspectives about things in their pasts. Loved the focus on the Lord and truly trusting Him for our forgiveness and self worth. These two were such a cute couple. It was quite comical how Blaine truly wanted to resist a relationship with Kenzi but what he said contradicted what he was thinking. Great ending.
Even though this book was slow for me at first, it was definitely worth the time. I didn’t love how much time the author devoted on the back story compared to the development of the relationship. I did enjoy the characters and the author made me invested in the characters and their story. However, I would have loved a little more relationship development, once the characters let go of what was holding them back. I enjoyed how there was a religious element without being overly preachy. It was the perfect amount and added well to the story development. I would have loved more dialogue and back and forth once the relationship started developing. Overall, it was a good story and I loved the service and big brother element.
This is a touching & emotional romance.
I really enjoyed reading it.
Blaine & Kenzie, have had an attraction
from afar for each other.
Now that their goods friends are
getting married, they see each other
more often.
But they both have had things happen
when they were younger, that still
effects them today.
Are Blaine & Kenzie, willing to open
their hearts, to a love they both deserve?
A MUST READ!!
Loved it! I really enjoyed reading Blaine and Kenzi’s story. Kenzi had self-confidence issues because of bullies in her teen years. Blaine was dealing with the fear to love. They both found a closer walk with God and each other, helped them be who they were meant to be. I read this in a day. If you like clean inspiring stories, I highly recommend ‘Love on the Line’. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
This was such a touching story. We all having things in our past that we carry but the Lord said we are to cast our burdens upon Him. I won’t give it away, but Blaine carries past guilt that causes him relationship problems. He had to face that guilt and with the help of the Lord, he was able to. This is a sweet story of redemption and how Jesus can help us to forgive ourselves and be whole again. Once we have done this, we can move forward with our lives and find the happiness that He wants for us and this book reflects that Blaine and Kenzie were able to do just that. A sweet, clean, Christian read that I believe anyone could read and relate to. I have enjoyed this series so much.
I received a free ARC of this book and have hereby left my honest review.
I had an ARC copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. This is a great book. The characters and their problems are interesting and I liked the way Lorana developed and grew them through the story. I liked the way she addressed the characters faith and spiritual growth. Great second book in this series!
A wonderful story about two characters that have deep hurts in their past but different ways of dealing with them. Kensi chose to let God help her overcome these hurts from childhood and surround herself with good friends and a positive attitude. Blaine turned away from God and chose to walk the path alone and stuff all his feelings down into the back of his mind, only leaving a facade of happiness on the surface. He’s a very successful professional football quarterback – someone who is usually envied, but he knows the real truth. Kensi has had a crush on his for a long time but doesn’t know the person he really is and he wont let her see that either. However, he is so drawn to her that he asks her to redecorate his lakeside cabin, but he wont spend extra time with her…will he? Kensi can see something is deeply troubling Blaine but he wont confide in her so should she push him? A very satisfying story about letting the past lie and stepping out into the future with people who will love you in the here and now. I love this story!
What a sweet clean story. Sometimes our past haunts us for a long time even from childhood into adulthood. This book shows how it can affect a person and their relationships.
Blaine is the captain of the Texas Tornadoes. He has inherited his family cabin but due to something in his past he does not want to keep it. Seems he can’t keep a girlfriend either.
Kenzi has been helping Shelby for a few years now but finally convinced to go back to school and become a designer. Her first job is to redo Blaine’s cabin. They see each other at the center that Shelby runs where Blaine and the team volunteers each one day a month. Can they have a working relationship with all they have in them from their past. Can they let go and let God take care of it?

Love on the line is a satisfying football romance that I read straight through.
Blain and Kenzi are two broken people who have given up their chance for love.
Blain is afraid to connect with anyone because of a childhood accident. I like the way Lorana shows his vulnerability—slowly showing how Kenzi is breaking down his walls bit by bit.
Kenzi is trying to hide, but she has her own insecurities that get in the way of her trusting her heart to anyone. I can relate to her character when she looks back at the trauma she faced from bullying.
Words can hurt, and sometimes the ones we speak over ourselves are the worst. With a little bit of faith can these two lay their hurt aside and let love win?
I received this book courtesy of the author through StoryOrigin and this is my honest review.
An amazing story of rising above and beyond your past to face a wonderful future. Blaine Hollis is a football player and captain of the Texas Tornadoes. He has had a hard past and would love to settle down like his friends. Kenzie Lanham has had a lot of bulling in her life and can’t seem to forget. She is going to school to be a imteratior designer. They meet at Tucker Jackson and Shelby’s engagement . He asks her to decorate his house after seeing what she does for Shelby’s engagement. With God’s help they become stronger. I received an ARC of this book and I highly recommend reading. It is a clean well written story and purely delightful.
Kenzie and Blane were both hurt in the past, she by bullying in school and a self-centered ex and he by the loss of his brother when they were kids. Blaine feels responsible for his brother’s death and doesn’t feel like he deserves love. He hires her to decorate the cabin he inherited. But she does so much more by helping him find his faith again and healing his heart. This was a sweet Christian romance with plenty of funny, romantic, and sad moments. It was great to catch up with Shelby and Tucker from the last book, but it’s not necessary to read that story to follow this one. I’m looking forward to reading more books about their Texas Tornadoes teammates.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Lorana Hoopes, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is a great clean Christian romance about Blaine and Kinzi. They both have issues in their pasts that are hampering a healthy relationship, but with God’s help they are a learning to overcome these issues. I enjoyed this book especially the ending. This book is a standalone even though it is part of the Christian Football Romance series. It is a great book to add to your must read list.
I was given an advance copy of this book for an honest review. Another fantastic story by Lorana Hoopes. The characters have off the charts chemistry yet both have things in their past that they have to overcome. Together, they work through their demons and find love with each other. This is book #2 in her Texas Tornadoes series. I am hooked on this series!
Love on the Line is an awesome, heart warming romance that kept me glued to its pages until I reached the end. To an outsider, Kenzi and Blaine seem to have it all together. Inside each is hurting from events in their past. It was terrific to be a spectator on their journey to healing and to watch them fall in love. I never, ever pass on a book written by Lorana Hoopes. Every one of her books speaks to me.
Love on the Line is a well-written, clean, sports romance. I’m not into sports at all, but I loved this book. Blaine and Kenzi are likable characters, and I really wanted their romance to work out. Blaine has a deep-seated issue from his childhood that keeps him from connecting with people. Kenzi is lacking self-confidence in her new career as an interior designer. Reading how they helped the other, and how their faith impacted them was a joy. I was delighted to see that the football team is still involved in the community center for the kids. There are some very tender moments, some heart-breaking ones, and some scorching hot kisses in the book. The story finishes up with an epilogue and a fantastic HEA. I would recommend this book to readers of clean/wholesome romance, to Christian fiction readers, and to sports romance readers. I definitely plan to read more of this series and more of this author’s other works. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this sweet romance.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Blaine is a famous football player with some troubling issues he needs to work through and kenzi is trying to establish for new career. They have some truly Good friends with a lovely romance going towards marriage. Where does God fit into all this? And can the Lord help Blaine change his future? Are Blaine and kenzi meant to be together? Read this well written Christian book to get all the answers you won’t be disappointed.
