I’ve loved every Carol Moncado book I’ve ever read. This is a Christmas book, and I love Christmas books. Read it.
New York terrifies me – I think Brittany and I come from the same type of world! If our kid is doing it – we will be there for them, doesn’t matter how scary it is for us.
You don’t expect to meet someone special on the sidewalk of a city, nor to have that meeting follow you to your small town in the middle of nowhere. Small towns are notorious for everyone knowing everyone – you just don’t always realize that someone from your town knows someone special from the city.
This was another great book by a great author. I loved the personal touch she put in it about the thanksgiving day parade. It totally made me want to go someday (even with the ridiculous cold!) the characters were very likable and the plot was sweet. I always find myself wishing I could meet the characters and this time was no different! I enjoyed the book and cant wait for the series to start!! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. The words and thoughts are all mine.
This book is a great short story. Good character development, the settings are some of the great holiday traditions we all know and love with some up close and personal perspective. Great quick read for an evening or weekend cuddled under the blankets.
Love on Parade is the first book in the Teachers of Trumanville Christmas Novellas. I loved it!! Can’t wait for the next story. It’s the story of Brittany and Cole/Norris. They bump into each other in New York. She’s there because her daughters is marching in a band in the Thanksgiving Day parade. He’s a New Yorker.
It’s just so cute there interactions. He shows her the city. Then thanks to his aunt he ends up in Trumanville. Read the story to find out the rest. It’s cute, sweet, wonderful. Being a fan of Carol’s and follower on social media I could picture New York from her trip with her daughter for the parade and other things. We get glimpses of old friends from other books. It’s fun. I’m soooo looking forward to the books to come. Read, enjoy and fall in the love with Trumanville. Blessings!
First off I have to say I LOVE Carol Moncados’ books! Second this was a great read coming out at the perfect time to get everyone in the holiday mood! I found myself feeling the cheer of the holidays but also the hustle and bustle that we all know too!
A departure from her royals books we are back in a familiar location for readers of previous books. We also see some familiar names pop up. I love that fact that she still includes old characters!
This is a short, but enjoyable novella introducing a new series within Carol Moncado’s “universe.” A few well-known characters will be recognized by those who have read other of her books, but you don’t have to have read them first. I enjoyed the setting, the characters, the romance, and the way the characters work out their problems and grow/mature in positive ways.
Brittany is in New York to watch her daughter in the parade at Thanksgiving when Cole rescues her from the press of the crowd and then stays with her to show her around town and be with her during the parade. She returns home, where and event is dumped in her lap and is later told she has a helper coming in too. Wonderful story and intro into a new series and an easy to get into and hard to put down book. Some names are familiar from other books. Looking forward to what’s ahead as we get to know the people in this town.
Love the premises of the parade romance. The personal experience touches are fun and different from her normal style. I enjoyed this book immensely.
Love on Parade is Ms. Moncado’s latest release that is a romantic book. This book is the first book in the Teachers of Trumanville series and is a novella. A novella is a short story (not a full-length novel). This book focuses on Brittany who is a resident of Trumanville, but attends the Macy’s Day Parade in New York City to watch her daughter perform. While in New York, she meets a stranger, Cole, and they are fast friends. Cole is enchanted with Brittany, but knows that there is no way it will lead to a relationship due to their differences in location. As you read, you will discover a romantic story between two people. As a reader, you get a glimpse of Trumanville, a town located in Ms. Moncado’s upcoming releases. Readers will also meet some of the new characters in the town. This is a good introductory story before the new release of Ms. Moncado’s newest series that releases in December. I highly recommend you read this book! You will not be disappointed! Fans of Ms. Moncado will enjoy getting to read some of the “back story” before the new series debuts in December.
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.
Carol Moncado’s new series brings readers back to Missouri.
It was fun reading about Brittany’s adventures in New York City and the way the Cole determined to make her time as memorable as he could – without flaunting his wealth. The parade, and the way he ensured their area wouldn’t be encroached upon was super fun.
If you enjoy sweet, small-town romance with a touch of Christmas, you might enjoy this first book of the author’s newest series.
This was a cute novella following Brittany (a teacher in Trumanville) and Norris, I mean Cole. No Nicholas! I always love how Carol sets up her new brain children while giving us glimpses of characters we’ve already met. Lots of neat tidbits weaved in which I always enjoy learning. I highly recommend anything by Carol and this is no different!
Brittany and Cole meet in NYC for a brief time, then are reunited soon after in her small town. Can a small town widow and a big city bachelor find happiness together at Christmas? You’ll find out when you read this fun story by readers’ favorite, Carol Moncado. A new series, but with brief appearances of characters from her previous series. If you haven’t read Ms. Moncado’s books, I think you’ll be glad to read your first one. If you’re a returning fan, you already know you’re in for a good read.
Another hit. So many times, authors can’t do both short stories and full length novels equally well. Carol Moncado is exceptional at both. I am excited about this new series. It’s fun and clean and riddled with romance. Just perfect for an hour or two of free time.
I have been a Carol Moncado fan since her first book and I haven’t missed any since. She has penned a delightful Christmas novella here, populated with wonderful characters and it is a very nice light read. Recommended.
*My thanks to the author for a preview copy of this book. The opinion here is my own.
This is the beginning of a new series by Carol Moncado and I think it will be a fun new twist to all her other books.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. I had just read a very intense book and this was a nice calm, fun break in my readings.
I know every time I pick up a book written by Carol Moncado I will be entertained. This book was exactly that!
I loved the banter between Brittany and Cole. I loved all the bright sights of New York and the sweet small-town feel of Trumanville.
It was fun to see some of the characters from Carol Moncado’s other books making an appearance in this one. It’s like we know these people and they are all old friends.
It was just the perfect book to read to get me in the holiday spirit.
I look forward to reading more in this new series of books from this author.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
