Maybe what they needed most was there all along… Delaney Phillips, a divorced mom, works for her longtime best friend Wyatt Andrews at Cabins in the Pines. Wyatt inherited the rustic resort from his father, and both he and Delaney have made countless happy memories there. After a highway bypass leaves it a little too off the beaten path, they’ll do just about anything to keep it open. At … to keep it open.
At Delaney’s urging, Wyatt auditions for a reality TV program that helps businesses in trouble. The show’s glamorous host arrives with her camera crew, turning the place upside down in hilarious and alarming ways.
But Delaney doesn’t like the woman’s new plans for the business…or her designs on Wyatt. Because even though Delaney’s known him since the first grade, she’s slowly but surely falling in love with him. Can she help him see the cabins–and their relationship–in a different light?
This clean romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes.

I chose to be your friend, but falling in love with you was out of my control…
I have read all genres in books, but I have always had a soft spot for sweet romance. Love on Location fits this perfectly. The hero and heroine of this story are best friends. They have known each other since they were children.
Wyatt is owner of Cabins in the Pines. It’s a family business that he is proud to run. Delaney is a single mom who works for Wyatt. After Wyatt’s parents pass away the business suffered. Also a highway bypass was responsible for the resort suffering. Delaney has an idea to boost the business by enlisting The Cabins in the Pines into a popular renovation reality show that would give them exposure to get their name out there. But problems and stress are experienced during filming the show. It threatens Wyatt and Delaney’s relationship and puts it to the test.
I loved the repartee between Wyatt and Delaney. It was also a treat watching their friendship bloom into something more. This story is an endearing and charming story of romance.
Wonderful read from this Hallmark Publishing author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m so pleased that Hallmark now has books to go along with their terrific movies. Love on Location, by Cassidy Carter was released in March 1029 and I discovered it shortly after that. So sweet.
Delaney Phillips and Wyatt Andrews have been friends forever. A long lasting, true, friendship is not to be tampered with, not to be ruined and lost. Wyatt’s family has owned Cabin In The Pines resort for generations and it’s now failing. Delaney has been working out how to save the place. Enter a reality TV show. Gosh, the only thing real is that the show is on TV. The meat of the book is relationships. The loyal employees, a crazy Zen aunt, a tween-ager and of course our couple. Delaney and Wyatt circle around each other for most of the book. Neither one wants to rock the boat but their attraction keeps growing. I love how a BFF became a true love. Was the love always there? Maybe some form that changed with time. It was a sweet journey. Hallmark must have high standards, I’ve not yet been disappointed.

What a great light hearted easy read. Perfect for a nice beach read. I really enjoyed reading this fun book. Thanks for a great book Cassidy!
This is a sweet, clean romance. Delaney and Wyatt have been friends for always. They grew up running around the campground his parents owned. Now, Delaney is divorced and back home with her daughter. Wyatt is running the campground after his parents death and Delaney is his “girl Friday”. The business is floundering after a bypass was built so Delaney applies to a reality show that comes in and helps businesses that are in trouble. Chaos ensues.
I liked the characters. It sounds like one big family at the campground. Each person is different; some are funny, others quirky, some shy. There is some angst when Delaney and Wyatt both think they are in love with each other, but neither wants to damage their friendships. The writing style is easy-to-read and the story moves long at a nice pace.
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.
I enjoyed this book by Cassidy Carter. The characters were realistic, charming, and quirky at times. How neat to have a reality show come in to help Wyatt with his Cabins in the Pines, which are struggling financially. He may lose his family owned business that has been handed down through the generations.
I liked the twists that Alexandra brought while they were filming the show, especially at the end of the show. I also enjoyed the friendship Wyatt and Delaney have had for each other since they were kids. Neither one wants to ruin their friendship but you can tell it is more than just friendship.
There were several surprises at the end of the story that I enjoyed and did not see coming. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
GOOD CHARACTERS DISCRIPTIONS ENJOYABLE
This book had the best characters and drew me into the story from the very beginning. Wyatt and Delaney have been best friends from childhood. Even though they have suffered heartache and loss, they still do their best to take care of their friends and family. Wyatt’s family campground has fallen on some hard times financially, and Delaney is determined to find a way to save it. She does this by applying for a business “fixer upper” type TV show. Their campground gets accepted for the show, and when the cameras and crew arrive, Wyatt and Delaney’s relationship is suddenly under scrutiny. Do they dare put their solid friendship at risk to see if they truly love each other? This story made me smile and cheer them on through all the upheaval of the renovation of both the campground and their relationship. There’s some great secondary characters in this book, too, that add much to the story. This is light, fun, entertaining reading.
This is exactly the kind of book I’ve come to expect from Hallmark Publishing: A clean, sweet, well-written story with great characters and a storyline that keeps you turning pages to find the happily-ever-after moment. I’m hoping this book is turned into a Hallmark Movie, but honestly, I will probably still think the book was better!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Fun mix of friends, romance and reality television. Good story line and very entertaining. I look forward to seeing Hallmark make this book into a movie.
Cassidy Carter’s latest novel is a sweet, fun, heart-warming romance featuring one of my favorite tropes, from friends to true love. I enjoyed the setting as it was vividly described and very much reminds me of the great outdoors around my hometown. I feel like I knew the characters by the end, and I loved them all. This book seems like the first in a series, so I hope there are more. I could definitely see this as a Hallmark movie!
4.5 Stars
Cabins in the Pines has been in Wyatt Andrews family for years. Business was always good until a highway bypass made it difficult to get to. With the decline in reservations and several things breaking down, Wyatt will need to do something if he’s going to keep his family legacy going.
Delaney Phillips has been best friends with Wyatt since the first grade. They were inseparable growing up and have always been there for each other. When Delaney got divorced, it was Wyatt’s family who helped her pick up the pieces and move on with her life. She loves being the property manager and is always looking for ways to improve the Pines.
While watching one of her favorite reality TV shows, Delaney gets the idea to submit an audition video to ABC’s of Business to see if they’ll come out and film an episode at the Pines. If chosen, there’s a chance that the much needed improvements will start bringing business in again.
But when Delaney discovers she’s being kept out of the loop on important decisions and the host of the show starts taking a special liking to Wyatt, she starts doubting her decision to bring the show out to their little slice of heaven.
Everyone at the Pines will need to band together to do whatever it takes to not only keep the business going, but to help Delaney and Wyatt open their eyes and see what’s standing right in front of them. If anyone deserves a HEA, it’s them.
*dreamy sigh*
You guys! Can I just tell you how cute Love on Location is? I found myself being transported to Cabins in the Pines and did not want to leave! I laughed out loud, got frustrated and found myself letting out little dreamy sighs while reading. I really enjoyed getting to know Delaney and Wyatt and found myself rooting for them from the very beginning. The characters were fun, the setting was picturesque and the romance was sweet. What more could you ask for?
I love finding new authors! This is my first book by Ms. Carter and I can tell you it won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!
I truly loved reading Love on Location. It was wonderful written and storyline. I enjoyed reading about Wyatt and Delaney. The story ran smoothly and I was hooked from the first chapter.
Thank you Cassidy Carter, Hallmark and the Publisher for a advanced copy of these book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a nice read about best friends discovering their love for each other. Cabins in the Pines is a campground that’s seen it’s best days. Thanks to a modern highway bypass, it’s now a forgotten out of the way place to go. It needs a major influx of cash which neither Delaney or the owner/manager Wyatt have. Delaney contacts a reality tv show as a last resort & they’re interested in filming at the campground. Now she has to find a way to tell Wyatt.
This was a nice feel good romance. The characters were well defined. Best friends discover that they feel more for each other than friendship. The scenery was perfectly described. The campground seemed like my favorite childhood spot. Nice & relaxing. Away from everyday stress. Slightly worn but well loved. The employees seemed more like a family than coworkers. Overall, this was a nice sweet entertaining read.
