True love is in the details for the Jersey shore’s premier wedding planner in this heart-swooning series about big dreams and happy endings from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.
Avery Sunshine might not have a soul mate of her own, but she still believes in happily ever after—for her clients. Making dreams come true is her business at Sunshine Bridal, which she runs with her … Bridal, which she runs with her two sisters. When her best friend announces her engagement, Avery is thrilled to take charge of the giddy bride-to-be’s big day. Less thrilling? Her best friend’s arrogant and demanding brother, who just so happens to be the man of honor.
Carter Ross’s first instinct: call 911. He promised to always take care of his impulsive little sister, and he honors that vow. Even if it means taking over her wedding, where he is sure Avery will fail. At best, Avery is unpredictable. At worst, if she’s anything like the spitfire of a college girl he remembers, the main event could run wild.
With Avery and Carter wrestling for control, tempers heat up. So does the spark of attraction they’re fighting with every kiss. As the wedding draws near, it’s time to reconcile a rocky past and make a decision that could change everyone’s lives. Because what they’re rebelling against looks a lot like love.

*SIGH* I loved this one from beginning to end! Avery and her sisters are wedding planners and Avery’s best friend from college is getting married and wants her to plan her wedding and fit it in this summer. No problem except it also comes with her brother as her best man and Carter and Avery don’t get along…until they do. This is a slow start and Carter doesn’t believe in love but when he falls, he falls hard. This one was so, so, SO good. I cannot wait for the rest of the sisters to get their happy too.
Great start to the series! I loved the tension between Avery and Carter as they constantly tried to one-up each other while planning Ally’s wedding. Although they frustrated each other, their interactions were amusing and they definitely had undeniable chemistry. I love how their story turned out, and I look forward to the stories of the other Sunshine sisters.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
Love the first book in the new series by Jennifer Probst. Set in a charming beach town, it had all the feels. I loved the main characters and rooted for their happily ever after, while at the same time wanting to know everything about the secondary characters. Can’t wait for more in this series!
Avery is a wedding planner and believe in forever. Her best friend asked her to plan her wedding, one bad thing is bride older brother will help. Avery and Carter don’t like each other and now he is trying to make different decision for his sister wedding than Avery. Some will say he is arrogant and make this to spite her. But, while reading this book, you can see, that he really knows his sister and wants her to be happy and have a perfect day.
While Avery and Carter plan Ally’s and Jason’s wedding, sparks fly and Avery realize that Carter is the one for her, her forever, but he doesn’t want forever.
Storyline is awesome, characters in this book are great, and I’m saying, all of them, not only Avery and Carter.
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and action packed journey filled with engaging and interesting charters, witty banter, emotional twists and tested loyalties. This is a great journey that is all about family, friends and the ties that bind and can sometimes frighten us. Great reading from beginning to end.
For me this was such a feel good read. I loved being swept away to Cape May. I could envision this quaint place by the seashore. The perfect backdrop for a summer romance.
Avery and her two sisters are wedding planners extraordinaire and when her best friend Ally ask her to squeeze in her wedding in three short months Avery promises it will be exquisite. Before long Ally descends on Cape May with her older brother Carter in tow. He didn’t care for her friendship with Ally in college and Avery is certain he still doesn’t care for her. When an emergency situation has Ally going back home until the wedding Avery is forced to deal with Carter who is determined to make every decision living hell moment.
Eventually it’s not only the heat of anger brewing between these two but sparks and flickers of want and need. Avery still believes in forever and fairytale love while Carter can never open himself up enough to even see if the sparks could turn into flames of passion.
Woah, this was sweet with heat and I absolutely got pulled in and lost most of a day because I needed to know if Carter could change his ways and see what he was throwing away.

When Avery’s best friend from college asks her to be her wedding planner in peak wedding season with only a few months notice, she thought “no problem”. That is until she finds out her friends older brother Carter would be a thorn in her side for every decision leading up to the big event!
Avery and Carter are at odds throughout the wedding planning….until they realize there are feelings towards one another.
Love on Beach Avenue begins with conflict and frustration and builds into a great romance. Will it be just a summer romance or will they be able to overcome the emotional obstacles that lie in their way?
This is the first book of The Sunshine Sisters series, it’s a standalone. I really like this story and it gives an amazing start for the next few books of the series, the side characters are well developed, therefor gives me some good anxiety to read Bella, Taylor, Gabe, Pierce, not to mention sweet little Zoe!
This story is about Carter and Avery. Both of Carter’s parents died a long time ago, when he was just 19 years old. His life was uprooted and suddenly he was his little sister Ally’s guardian. Right there he vow to protected and take care of her. Which gave him a difficult personality, he was strict and sometimes control freak. But then, his sister decide to get married in 3 months and hire her best friend Avery to plan the wedding. He hated Avery and really didn’t trust her.
Avery is a premier wedding planner with her sisters Bella and Taylor in Cape May. She works very hard to grow her family’s business. Although now she is a different person, in the past she was a little wild while in college with her best friend Ally. Who isn’t different, right?
I enjoy a lot Avery and Carter’s banter and chemistry. It was nice to see how both of them overcome their dislike in each other, work together in Ally’s wedding, turn their relation from hate to love and basically bring the best in each other.
However, I really hate Carter from page one to nearly 60% of the book. He was soooo rude and disrespectful towards Avery that it made me hate him. You may dislike one person, but at least you need to respect their profession, specially if they are well known in business like Avery’s company was.
But give Jennifer a few pages and she slowly made me like him, just like the couples trope, from hate to love. And I really thought this wasn’t possible!
The couple needed to overcome their insecurities and their difficulties that life brought to them. Avery matured faster than he did, but good thing that he caught up with her quickly and it was epic!
Now that this is over, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
You know that moment when you read a book and it just leaves you with a smile on your face and a happy feeling? This is one of those jewels!
Avery and Carter’s story is the story of a wedding planner that has to deal with her old nemesis, her best friend’s older brother who wants to veto all the choices for his sister’s wedding. Sparks fly, sensual tension rises, old hurts come up, great friendships form, there’s laughter, there’s small town charm all in wonderful summer days.
There was really anything I didn’t like about this book, all the characters are lovely and the drama comes up only because of their fears, there is no bad character really. It was written so nicely, so harmonious, that though it’s a story of somebody else’s wedding planning, you get the right amount of that couple’s presence but it doesn’t become too much to interfere with the hero and heroine.
I adored how the main characters are so mature and grounded, how beautifully they connect even when hurt, and how they are always trying their best. Friend’s love, romantic love, siblings love, wedding romance, this book is just infused with love. I am extremely grateful to have received an advanced copy of this gem as it is a perfect read to sooth the soul. A great escape into the world of happily ever after!

I loved Avery and Carter’s story! Goodness they both had a competitive streak a mile long! I loved how much he adored his dog Lucy, it was so sweet! Boy did she have an attitude. Their story certainly wasn’t an easy one. It was beautifully written and heartfelt. Loved every single page!
Avery’s best friend from college, Ally is getting married and has hired Avery to plan her wedding. Carter, who is Ally’s brother and Man Of Honor happens to be the bane of Avery’s existence. I mean what could go wrong? Love On Beach Avenue (The Sunshine Sisters #1) was such a charming and entertaining enemies to lovers romance. And what a fantastic start to this series and I’m truly looking forward to reading the next two books about Avery’s sisters, Bella and Taylor.
Love On Beach Avenue was one of those books that had those all around feel good moments that I adore. I loved that it was set in a quaint, relaxing beach town called Cape May which I seriously wish that I could escape to. Carter and Avery had great chemistry and I really enjoyed their push and pull and hysterical banter. And after all the pent up sexual tension, I couldn’t wait for these two to get it on and it was definitely worth the wait! Although Carter was confident and arrogant at times, there was also a sweet and tender side to him. That along with his Clark Kent features, made him so sexy and irresistible. And Avery with her smart, talented, sophisticated and tenacious personality, was the perfect woman for him.
The storyline was engaging, filled with a lot depth and not only had excellent main characters but the secondary characters shined as well. Love On Beach Avenue was a relaxing, light hearted and wonderful must read five star book!!
Avery Sunshine is The Wedding Planner of the Cape May area and her best friend, Ally is getting married. Ally and Avery have been best friends since their wild college days at Georgetown, in DC. Wild college days is all that Carter, Ally’s older brother, remembers about Avery – that she was the catalyst to all of Ally’s college shenanigans.
When Ally arrives in Cape May and announces to her best friend that her brother will be her Man Of Honor and Avery won’t be in the wedding because she will be planning it, Avery is a bit disconcerted and immediately thrown off her normal game plan. Carter steps on Avery’s toes from day one, assuming she is still the immature and wild college student.
But slowly, Carter and Avery’s animosity grows to sexual tension, and slowly they gain a bit of respect for each other. But where Ally wants her forever after with one man, Carter believes he is incapable of loving in that way. After many bumps in the road, Carter and Avery embark on a summer affair but each with different end-goals.
After Carter returns to DC and his old job (after his Summer vacation and sisters wedding), Avery ends their long-distance relationship. It takes Ally, now married and able to stand up to and challenge her brother for Carter to realize everything he ever wanted is in Cape May with Avery.
I loved all the details about the location, and the well developed main and sub-characters. I loved Zoe, Avery’s niece and what women doesn’t have her heart melted by a man who can engage and interact naturally with children. Carter was that man.
This was a great love story with sub-characters that I can’t wait to see in future books along with updates on Avery and Carter’s great romance.
4 Stars!
Avery Sunshine and her two sisters own and run Sunshine Bridal, and are known as the top wedding planners on the Jersey Shore in their small town Cape May. Avery had always believed in fairytales and happily ever after’s, and loved her job. She hadn’t yet found her own prince charming, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t still looking. She knew one day he’d find her, but she still found joy in helping others. When her best friend from college calls wanting her to plan her the perfect beach wedding, she’s thrilled to help make all Ally’s dreams come true. Then she encounters the man of honor. Ally’s rude, uptight, hot older brother is just as annoying as she remembers. Carter Ross is still arrogant, judgmental, overbearing, demanding, and bossy as ever, and unfortunately she has to work with him since he plans to be involved in every detail of the wedding planning.
Growing up Carter was more of a father than a sibling to his sister Ally after they lost their parents. She was his only family, and had been his entire world most of his life. He was determined to give her the best of everything, and that includes making sure she gets whatever she wants for her special day. In order to oversee things he decides to spend the summer in Jersey. He remembers his sister’s best friend Avery as feisty, unpredictable, and trouble. They always shared a mutual dislike of one another, but both would be forced to suck it up, and try to co-exist for Ally. As they clash while both trying to make Ally’s dreams come true, they are surprised by the explosive passion and intense chemistry between them. They have more in common than they realize, and soon figure out they may have misjudged each other. They are both workaholics who believe family is everything, but could they have something between them worth fighting for? Will they take a chance on love, or be ruled by fear?
Love on Beach Avenue by Jennifer Probst is the first book in her new Sunshine Sisters series. I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers romance about family, friendship, and taking chances on love. This book was packed with sexual tension, and fabulous banter, as these two tried to one up each other before finally giving in to their hearts desires.
I loved this story! I love a good enemies to lovers story and this one did not disappoint!
I enjoyed this book. Avery Sunshine and her sisters own and run Sunshine Bridal. They are wedding planners. Do they all believe in happily ever after? To an extent, they do. But Avery definitely wants the whole package, she just hasn’t found it yet. And her best friends brother, Carter, definitely is not the man for her. Or is he? Carter is in town to help his sister plan her wedding. Carter only remembers Avery from her collage days she spent with Ally. And he didn’t really approve of her then. However, she is now a grown woman, who is running a business. Avery and Carter go head to head planning this wedding. Carter feels he knows his sister best, so he is always putting in his two cents trying to override Avery. While doing all of this, the chemistry just gets hotter. Finally, to the point that they can no longer deny their feelings for one another. Avery ends up getting in to deep, knowing how Carter feels about love and marriage. And Carter tries to deny his feelings for Avery. After the summer ends, so does their relationship. Avery lays it all out and Carter just can’t let his walls down. After a swift kick in the butt by Ally, Carter thinks differently. But is it to late? This is a fun book with some great banter between sisters and between Carter and Ally. A sweet little girl and a little dog with a sassy personality. What more could you want? Grab your copy today.
Probst grabbed me at hello. Carter and Avery are the sweetest mix of chaos and forever that I’ve ever encountered. He’s the Grinch with a hero’s heart. She’s the dreamer with a romantic soul. Never quite perfect, yet hopelessly drawn together. Love on Beach Avenue is a melody that lures your heart into the tune. Probst constructs a beautiful kind of heartache that proves itself to be a breathtaking experience.
If you like a romance that delivers the perfect combination of humor, heat and heart, look no further. Add to that some delightfully winning characters, an epic love/hate relationship, banter and snark that will keep you in stitches, and an undeniable, fiery chemistry, and you have a captivating story that can’t be beat!
Avery Sunshine runs the family’s wedding planning business with her sisters, Belle and Taylor, in the quaint beach-side town of Cape May. During the height of wedding season, Avery’s best friend, Ally, asks her to plan her wedding, in only a few months. The topper on this wedding cake event? Ally’s brother and Avery’s nemesis, Carter Ross, is the man of honor and along for every step of the process. Oh joy.
Carter Ross is a man who needs to loosen up. His rigid, controlled life doesn’t allow for fun and spontaneity, and he has very clear ideas about what his sister wants for her wedding. Too bad they don’t fall right into place with Avery’s plans. But maybe she’s the one to get Mr. Boring Control Freak to ditch the suit and loosen up a bit.
Avery and Carter go together like oil and water, and what ensues is a hilarious game of who can best whom, until their spark ignites, consuming them and everything in their path. I had my doubts about how these two would get together without bloodshed somewhere along the way, but this gifted wordsmith managed it brilliantly.
Being a girl who had a spur-of-the-moment beach wedding in Grand Cayman after an ocean sting ray encounter, I loved this peek into the whole wedding-planning process. Now, this is the place where the average writer would bore me to tears with all the descriptions, but Ally’s wedding plans held my attention as I devoured every word! Of course, the push, pull and chemistry between Avery and Carter certainly kept things lively.
Escape to the beach with this fantastic romantic comedy. Whether you’re staying indoors, keeping your distance from others, or dipping your toes in the sandy shore, this one has everything you need for a spell-binding break from reality. Your funny bone will be tickled, your stress will fall away, and your heart will thank you with a happy smile, so don’t miss this phenomenal, humorous, heartfelt story!
Absolutely loved this one! 5 stars for this one!
Meet Avery, oldest sister of the Sunshine’s, trying to keep their parents wedding business the number one in Cape May NJ! When her best friend from college reaches out for her to plan her last minute summer wedding, of course she says yes! Unfortunately she didn’t realize that her bff’s brother Carter was part of the planning deal. Watch as these two battle it out in the wedding planning of Ally’s special day. Their banter will have you laughing, add in his possessive dog Lucy, and her adorable niece Zoey, they round out the story and you will love it! Make sure you grab it asap!
4 Star Review Love On Beach Ave (The Sunshine Sisters #1) by Jennifer Probst
Book one in an exciting new series from Jennifer Probst and she is off to a good start. This was a fun and entertaining book that had me captivated from the first to the last chapter. I love the main couple Avery Sunshine and Carter Ross; they really were so right for one another if only they could see that.
Running Sunshine Bridal with her two sisters means she can make others’ dreams come true and she is excited when her best friend asks her to handle her wedding, that is until the bride’s brother Carter involves himself.
Carter and Avery butt heads time and again as they both struggle to take control of arranging the wedding. Complicating matters is the undeniable attraction that sizzles between them. Do they dare start something that they may not be able to finish?
There were times I laughed and times I cried, but above all I found it an enjoyable read that left me with a smile on my face.
