I loved this Engrossing, Outstanding, Christian, multigenerational Victorian Romance! I got a good idea of how restrictive, & isolating England’s Titled Class was. There were also many restrictions on the people who were In Service, on Grand Estates. There was a definite “pecking order” to the various Service jobs.
Nancy Moser gives a clear Christian message, in “Love of the Summerfields”! Which will win, True or societal Obligation? I Highly Recommend & Encourage You to Read this Wonderful Novel to find out!
Even better than Downton Abbey because of the christian aspect of the story.
Love, love, love Nancy’s books. Can never put them down. I love how you get to know all the characters. Thx, Nancy for another great book.
A different sort of story. refreshing and enjoyable.
A light summer read, I enjoyed it.
A period story in Europe in 1800’s. Their tragic times and the end results make a good book.
I didn’t even finish it was so boring
It was very good – I have already ordered the second book in this series.
clean
The characters were realistic and well-drawn and the plot was believable. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one in the series.
I loved the people and families in this book. I want to read on in the series to learn what else happens with them.
The characters in Love of the Summerfields were fairly well developed. It was nice that most of them were able to marry the person with whom they were in love. “Rags to riches” is a favorite theme of mine. It’s a clean book, a bit of mystery, some romance with nothing steamy… all in all a good book.
The book held my attention and I enjoyed reading it!
What a great twist of fates at the end! Trust me …. you will love this book!
Love the period as it pressures women to be assertive to insure their happiness against all odds.
very good
It was an interesting look at the social culture of the 1800’s.
Historical accuracy is sadly lacking.
Couldn’t figure out what would happen next. Kept me hooked until the end but then I had to get the next book to see what happened to some of the characters.
I really enjoyed reading this historical gem. The complex plot is very well thought out. There is a good balance between the different generations as far as the time devoted to each character. The faith of certain characters is encouraging to the reader as well. Also, an excellent villainess adds color and humor.
