On the last leg of a soul-searching journey, Leah Hague needs one more night to wallow in grief before she heads back home to her life in Adam’s Bay, Illinois. Hoping for a dark, seedy tavern where she can nurse a glass or two of whiskey—no questions asked—she walks into a Nashville bar called Left Fork and meets the love of her life.Or so Trace Dixon wants her to believe. Despite Leah’s opening … Despite Leah’s opening words to his sexy greeting—not gonna sleep with you, Nashville—Trace Dixon doesn’t give up. In fact, Trace is tired of the music scene, the groupies, and the empty relationships. Leah Hague is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, and the fact that she’s not interested only intrigues him all the more.
Determined to get to know her, even after Leah is gone and headed home to Illinois, Trace pursues Leah through texts and phone calls. Though he wants more, he is happy with the easy-going friendship that grows between them. Still, when Leah tells him in an innocent text that she’s going to dinner with someone she once dated, Trace packs his bags and heads north.
Leah maintains her original stance; she fights her physical attraction to Trace. But what if her heart rules, and she falls in love with him anyway? Is there a future for a Mid-western girl with deep family ties and a thriving business and a famous songwriter who uproots himself from Music City and moves to Illinois? Or will Trace one day resent the sacrifices he says he doesn’t mind making in order to be closer to Leah?

No matter how far she travels, Leah Hague can’t outrun the horrible memories. And really, how long can she stay away from her business, a bar she owns and operates with her sister and cousin. So on the final night of Leah’s journey to shake off the ghosts of her past, she stops in a small bar in Nashville. It isn’t nearly as nice as her beloved bar, The Mississippi Queen, but it has a stage. And of course, a cowboy singing some twangy country song.
Singer/songwriter, Trace Dixon, isn’t quite prepared to be turned down. Well, at least, not until after he’s actually made an offer. But the pretty gal at the bar won’t give him so much as an inch, and even after she leaves, he can’t stop thinking about her.
Immediately, I was intrigued by Leah’s mysterious backstory and charmed by Trace’s gentle nature. I loved how he pursued her, knowing she was the one. Even when Leah’s insecurities and fears seemed to threaten the future he envisioned for them, Trace holds firmly to the belief that they are destined to be together. But Leah might need a bit of convincing.
Being a huge fan of Tracy Broemmer, I’ve read many of her books. Love, Nashville is filled with angst and steam and some interesting plot twists I hadn’t quite anticipated. Love, Nashville is the first book in Ms. Broemmer’s latest series, The Mississippi Queen, and it features a strong cast of supporting characters who, I’m sure, will all get their happily ever after in future installments of the series. This being said, Love Nashville by Tracy Broemmer is a complete story with a satisfying conclusion and no cliff hanger. A worthy read!

I really enjoyed this beautiful love story. The characters are lovable and relatable and the storyline is charming, although somewhat heartbreaking. The writing flows wonderfully throughout. This is a story you will want to finish in one sitting.
I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

This is an emotional ride and a slow burn read. It’s beautifully written and I couldn’t love Trace and Leah more if I tried.
Meeting at a bar doesn’t always lead to a HEA, but what if it does?

The first book in the The Mississippi Queen Trilogy series a well written story, by an Author I have not read before. Leah Hague and Trace Dixon will have so much to go through before they get their happy ending. I want to read the other books in this series. Leah met Trace when she stopped at a bar in Nashville after a traumatic experience. Though there was an instant attraction she blew him off. She was the most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on and he thought he would never saw her again, especially since he knew only her name and that she was just passing through. That was until he found her business card in the trash. And knew that he had to contact her. They started out texting and while Leah insisted in keeping it a friendship only both of them knew there was more to it. Then he pitched up unannounced in her bar and they learned that the feelings they had for each other could not be ignored. But Leah had a secret, could she let go of her fear and grasp what is right in front of her. The chemistry between the characters is out of this world. I loved Trace and the way he was so open about his feelings and his commitment to go after what he wants. There is so much emotion in the book and at times I was almost afraid to go on reading, it was just too much. This is the first book I have read from this talented author but definitely not the last.

Nashville – the guy, not music city. I do believe that Trace Dixon has edged out Jackson Cody to become my all-time favorite book boyfriend. Leah is on her way home from Florida, and stops in Nashville, where she goes to a little local bar for a drink. Trace walks off the stage after his set and straight up to her with his signature “Hey darlin'”, to which she replies with her signature “Not gonna sleep with you, Nashville”.The first half of this book is a slow burn. Trace knows exactly what he wants – for Leah to be in his life in whatever capacity she’s willing to give, and he’s willing to wait for however long it takes. She’s not willing to admit that she’s developing feelings for him. After watching what happened to her friend Kenzi, and how that affected Kenzi and Joe’s lives, Leah know she can’t have marriage or children in her future. I love this book more than I can convey in this short review. It’s an extremely emotional ride with terrific characters, all of them, not just Trace and Leah. It’s a long book, but nothing about it is boring or slow, and it was worth every minute that I spent reading it.

Trace and Leah meet one night in a bar in Nashville where he sings on stage and she comes in for a drink. Right from the start she shoots him down but he’s not one to give up so when she leaves to go back to Illinois he has to follow her because he knows she is the love of his life. Great story!
