Set in a time of social change with a wonderfully brave and adventurous heroine fighting to be who she is, balance society’s values against her own wishes.
Loved the time period and setting. Characters were great. Recommend for a fun read!
I live in Savannah, so I had an interest in the setting. I thought the early 1920’s time frame could be interesting, but the author kept pushing the 1920’s slang, flapper, gin joint cliches too hard. I thought at first it was a “first book” but then learned it wasn’t. Sorry, I just didn’t enjoy being clubbed over the head with really cliched 1920’s speak.
What a fun read!
A totally different kind of story. Well written and interesting.
I enjoyed the book itself because it was different however, the ending seemed shortened and obviously led directly to the next book. This was unsatisfactory.
Great book with interesting characters and twisting storyline.
Cute story but it ends rather abruptly. You are left compelled to read the next in the series.
AWFUL! Characters were not likable. I couldn’t finish it was sooooo bad!
Inconsistent and poorly edited. The neighbor’s last name changed regularly. Back and forth between two different names by moving one letter.
I really like Becky and her friends Teddy and Martha as well. The story was great, solid characters all around. I enjoyed to spooky bits and adore Savannah as a setting. I’m looking forward to more adventures with Becky and her gang.
Interesting new (hopefully) series. Fun read.
the southern belle, murder and so much more! the vernacular and throw in a “bless your heart” (it would not be southern without)… a super fast and fun read with dynamite characters- the loveable, deplorable and all in between.
