The first book in USA Today bestselling author, Bronwen Evans’s flirty new contemporary romance series… Emily Stanford’s trip to New York, and her plan to bring her orphaned goddaughter home to Coopers Creek, backfires. Hayley’s coming home but to Emily’s horror she’s hired as Hayley’s nanny and moving in with her ex-lover, Hayley’s uncle, the handsome cowboy come banker, Tyler Jeffries. He … Tyler Jeffries. He still makes her heart pound-even though four years ago he walked away from their relationship without a backward glance.
Tyler hates that he has no choice but to let Emily move in, but this is about Hayley and what she needs. He can’t believe the woman he blames for his sister’s death still fiercely fires his blood. Back in Coopers Creek, out of his comfort zone, coping with PTA meetings and white picket fences, he lets his heart’s defenses down, only to have Emily betray him again…
Coopers Creek holds painful memories for Emily and Tyler. Can they forgive each other; can the town hold a beautiful new future for them both?
Don’t miss Ric and Kate’s sizzling romance in the second novel in the Coopers Creek series – Heal Me.

Tyler is a cold man, a ruthless player and very, very judgmental. He punishes Emily for an accident four years ago.
When his sister died, he shut her best friend and his lover Emily out of his life.
When his mother dies, he now has custody of his seven year old niece, Hayley.
Emily has been there for Hayley every step of the way, from the day she was born. As her godmother, she’s loved her like a daughter. She even flies to New York where Tyler has uprooted Hayley to. Things are not going well for them and he finally figures he needs a nanny.
Can Tyler learn to stop being so judgmental and vindictive?
Cuz both Emily and Hayley deserve better.
He’s got a lot to atone for.

This is a really sweet second chance romance (maybe third or forth chance would be more accurate but hey whats can you do?). Hayley is a cute kid who brings together her uncle and her mom’s best friend after she is left orphaned. Lots of interesting side characters in this one too, so I’m sure the sequels will also be cute!
I really enjoyed this book and learned a lot about concussions. Very interesting.
Great love story and second chances.
I loved this book and the characters- lovely story!
Read the entire series…loved them!!!!
Loved this so much, I’m now reading the next story in the series.
Wonderful
The loss of a best friend to one and a sister to the other brings an end to an otherwise beautiful love as blame is made and trust is lost. An orphaned little girl who not only loses her mother but also her grandmother brings these two broken lovers back together in the same household. The undeniable attraction and love for each other once again blooms in two hearts that cannot stay apart. A great read!
This is a rollercoaster of emotions as the author takes us through what is a couple of complex characters who both want the same thing. This is a really enjoyable story and I shall look out for more by this author in the future.

Tyler blames Emily for his sister’s death and hasn’t seen her in five years. His mother dies and he gets gets custody of his sister’s daughter Hayley. He gets Emily to agree to help him with Hayley. He realizes that he never stopped loving Emily. Can these two find their happiness together? I really enjoyed this book. The story and characters were well developed and interesting.
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Bronwen Evans; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Emily has lost her best friend in a automobile accident leaving a young daughter Hayley. Hayley is Emily’s goddaughter and she will do anything for her so when she calls her to come get her Emily doesn’t hesitate. Emily finds out Hayley is living with her uncle Tyler who at one time was Emily’s ex love and now she has to move in with them to take care of Hayley. Tyler has blamed Emily for his sisters death but he is willing to let her care for Hayley. It was hard to like Tyler with his misplaced anger but love how loving Emily is and Hayley was so cute.

Tyler Jeffries is struggling to cope with his business & looking after his seven year old niece, Hayley, he needs a nanny e& quickly as his housekeeper is about to leave on an extended cruise. Hayley is unhappy, her Gran has recently died & her uncle Tyler has taken her to New York when all she wants is to be back home in Coopers Creek, so she phones her godmother Emily Stanford. Emily leaves for New York, but her plan to bring her orphaned goddaughter home to Coopers Creek, backfires. Hayley’s coming home but to Emily’s horror she’s hired as Hayley’s nanny and moving in with her ex, Hayley’s uncle, Tyler Jeffries. The characters are very well portrayed, the plot is well paced & the chemistry sizzles. Tyler is gorgeous but does have some issues, Emily is very loving, forgiving & a strong woman. Ric & Chase figure & they must have their stories. I’ve read all the authors historical romances & these are a must read for me so I wondered what a contemporary romance would be like I needn’t have worried, it’s up to her high standard & I found the book hard to put down & devoured it. I can’t wait for the rest of the series
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
Okay book but hard to believe and hard to relate to. Tyler is unrealistic.
Very good study of the effects of dysfunctional parenting and death on relationships. Not a fan of having sex with people you have social problems with
I didn’t like it and didn’t finish it.
Didn’t want to put it down. Great read!
Plowed through first third of book. BORING. What a snooze fest.
