I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read other books with Lucy Kincaid and Sean Rogan but it was really refreshing to go back to the beginning and see how they met and how they came together. I can’t wait to go back to the other ones and read them as well.
This is book one in what has been a terrific series. While each of the books in the Lucy Kincaid series is a stand alone, I tend to like to read books like these in order because of the recurring characters.
The first in a series, I found myself reading every spare second I could find. Sometimes in mysteries, nothing pulls you along except wanting to see if you’re right about the solution. In Brennan’s work, I felt emotionally tied to the characters and genuinely worried for them through the climax.
