Rory Prescott is desperate for a place to stay before she leaves Bliss Cove for her lucrative new tech job. Tavern owner Grant Taylor is desperate for a date to his brother’s wedding before his mother tries to marry him off next.Grant makes Rory a deal–he’ll let her stay in his cottage if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend. Though the two friends bicker over everything from her love of gummy … her love of gummy worms to the horrible singing fish he has on the tavern wall, “pretending” to like each other isn’t a stretch.
As they share close quarters, argue about cell phones, and exchange more than one hot kiss, their fake relationship soon becomes passionately real.
But Grant’s family battles and Rory’s impending career move shut down any possibility of a happy ending. Their hot, tender romance is about to crash and burn…unless they’re willing to risk everything for love.

A recommended read
Although I haven’t read the previous books in this series I found this one delightful. Rory and Grant are perfect together especially his support of her in her career. Real people in the real world finding love. “Computer geek” plus owner/chef of the Mousehole tavern=1 irresistible couple that will pull you into their story. I’ll be reading the preceding stories ASAP.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I love a good enemies-to-lovers and friends-to-lovers romance and this one both in one. Grant and Rory decide to help each other out but what starts off as fake, quickly turns real. I could feel their attraction and chemistry coming off the pages and had me with as much anticipation as they were experiencing. The story is funny, sweet, sexy, and I loved the back and forth between them.
Loved this book! I absolutely loved Rory and Grant. Rory was definitely a strong, focused, a bit uptight character. Grant was doing his own thing, not following what his family wanted him to do. I enjoyed the build up to the HEA. I loved all of the books in this series, but this couple is one of my favorites for sure! Hopefully there are more in this series!
Love me Tender is the third book in the series Bliss Cove by Nina Lindsey. The book is about the third sister Rory and the handsome super hot guy Grant. You are going to get a great romance with some personal drama for Rory. We got to revisit Aria and Callie which I loved. The book will not disappoint!
Rating: 6/5 Perfect Stars!
I have read and enjoyed the entire Bliss Cove Series, but ‘Love Me Tender’ was in a league of its own. Honestly, I stayed up and read it in one night. Grant and Rory were divine and absolutely perfect together. I loved the strength and character of Rory and the fact that Nina included the very real and serious issues faced by women in tech jobs. I also loved Grant’s patience and devotion to Rory. The entire story simply flowed effortlessly. I loved the supporting characters and the relationships with the protagonists’ families.
I have difficulty writing reviews for books I love because I can’t ever seem to do them justice, but I LOVED this story and you should read it ASAP.
Love Me Tender indeed! Nina Lindsey has written my very favorite in the series and I have loved them all. But there is something so uniquely special about this book. Maybe it’s because Rory Prescott (middle daughter) marches to her own drum and is seemingly the true take charge kind of woman I love to read about. The way she stepped in when her mom needed her most speaks volumes and yet I knew from the two previous books that there was so much more to this incredible person we had yet to discover. And with this latest in the Prescott sisters’s world, Rory showed her tenacity, her strength, her loyalty and her ability to love, which gave her the biggest surprise of all.
The flirty nature between Grant Taylor, the proprietor of the Mousehole and Rory for these past two years was definitely a slow burn. Both wanting nothing more than to work hard and stay busy, they had this tender kind of rhythm, each knowing when to push the other during numerous late night chats and when to back off. A friendship that simply worked well for both of them. But the Author very cleverly throws in a challenge of sorts and suddenly Grant and Rory find themselves as landlord and tenant and if that wasn’t enough, they are then roommates and presumably a couple as well! All in a short time-span!
It’s beyond joyful watching as they slowly fall the other, manage to soothe some family issues and keep the love alive as Rory takes a job two hours away. She and Grant were made for each other and I could sense the desperate longing with each turn of the page. I loved getting that front row seat view of their unusual situation which was expertly paired with steamy trysts. Rory and Grant’s chemistry is more than special because their hearts are true and their love is unwavering.
The tavern owner/chef extraordinaire and the coder/temporary baker make for one helluva great story. Both are strong-willed and know what they want and that is each other! Rory is my kind of woman as her actions throughout this book made me laugh one minute and feel a sense of pride the next and I felt a true kinship to her. With Grant clearly being the only man for her as he allows her to fly and yet is the safe haven she will always come back to.
For a truly special kind of love story, I strongly recommend Love Me Tender. With characters that you can’t help but adore, the town of Bliss Cove is a place I want to visit over and over again. I look forward to more in this series as I’m sure I won’t be able to let go anytime soon.
5+ stars all they way!
