Honestly, I am kind of one the fence about this story. I both liked the story and was slightly irritated by the characters
Love Me
The characters are mostly all right, the story was interesting
The heart doesn’t care …
It doesn’t look for the things we look for.
I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying this series, as it is not my usual genre, mysteries, fantasy and scifi are where my taste lie. With that being said, I enjoy the clean story hinting at a touch of intrigue.
“If you’re scared in a tingly kind of way and not a horror show kind of way, go full steam ahead and get ready for a ride.” That quote sums up this series quite nicely.
Very clean and quick story. Gina met Chris at school needless to say he was not who he pretended to be. Chris has found Gina and he wants her help can or will she help him. There are some great characters and a bad guy and a hea love second chance love.
After reading this book I felt like I was experiencing a moment of deja vu…
But then I realized that this book is literally an almost exact copy of the first one in this series. All the way down to someone within the company stealing from them to the women getting mad at the men for how they handled some of the employees.
I didn’t completely understand how Gina becoming Chris’s fiance was suppose to make them working together easier for everyone as well as keep the rumor mill down. There wasn’t much spark for me either on how these characters were feeling towards each other.
Honestly, I felt a bit sorry for Chris because even after trying to prove to Gina just how much she means to him he’s still having to be the one to apologize and try to change things around to fit to Gina’s liking.
A sweet second chance romance filled with misunderstandings and twists that the couple struggles to overcome to discover a wondrous love with each other.
This is a totally wonderful enjoyable book. Two people meet in college , spend a year dating, and all of a sudden he disappeared taking a project they were working on together. But she finds out that somebody is using her project or is trying to use it and she is going to find out what is going on. When you find out somebody is lying to you, but needs your help because they can’t do it by their self. What do you do, do you help them or let them go to hell? Watch them learn more about each other, and will they both find love or is this then end for them.
Gina and Chris’s love story starts off with a bang. Gina is a project manager and her latest assignment brings her to the offices of Chymera corporations owned by Chris Griggs. She realizes immediately that she knew him as someone else- someone who left her brokenhearted. This created an interesting storyline. I would’ve liked a little more character development and background story. I loved the compassion the employees of the New Hope Center and Gina’s kindness and willingness to help them. Overall an enjoyable romance that I’d recommend for those who believe in second chances.
Sweet secret identity story
Reading this book felt like wrapping up in a nice warm blanket. I always love the anticipation of a secret identity story. Will it go well, will it not…. the reveal in this one dropping a little, but the reconciliation was sweet.

Chris ran from Gina once. This time he knows what he wants and the only thing he has to do is get Gina to trust him again. Gina loves Chris but she doesn’t know if she can ever trust him again. These are two people who need to learn how to depend and trust each other. I really enjoyed this book.
I enjoyed the dynamics of the work environment in this book. I could feel the urgency and frustration of mixing the red-tape of bureaucracy and the real-life needs of people.
The romance between Gina and Chris fell a little flat to me. It felt a bit forced. It seemed like it was too easy and only complicated by unnecessary plot devices.

Loved reading about Chris and Gina’s second chance at love. They fell in love at school then disappeared, only to return with her project plan that he took from her. Chris has a lot of learning to do to become the man that Gina needs.

Chris lied to Gina and stole their college class project plan. He hires her under false pretenses to save the health center his company has purchased. She agrees to pose as his fiance to get close to the employees to find out who is sabotaging the center. There relationship has many ups and downs as he works to prove that he is not the same man who left her. I thought it was great that she loved food and wasn’t afraid to eat well in front of Chris. Maybe her years in foster care taught her to catch food when she can and enjoy it. She was impulsive at times and he seems to have a bit of a temper. I found the story to jump from one topic to the next and the dialog hard to follow at times.
A completely unexpected beginning. It wasn’t until the end when I realized this was the second book in a series and maybe what I had been expecting to happen in this book was covered in the first book. However, this book was way better than I expected! Amazing characters and a strong story. It was clean and had romance and troubles and real life. It was truly great.

Another great story in the Love Endures series. You’ll fall in love with the series, the characters and everything else about this book. The characters are so easy to fall in love with and feel like family when you finish reading the book. So far I haven’t read a book by Susan that I haven’t liked.

Chris, CEO of a company that is known for making quick profits by buying and selling at a better price, has started on a private project – saving a Health Care Center in downtown, but finds it difficult, as no one trusts him to not just want to sell for a profit.
When he brings in Gina, he has two goals: getting in a specialist to work out the problems and to get a second chance with Gina.
Both proof challenging, but the story makes for a lot of entertainment. Charming and well-written it brings a few hours of fun and joy.

Just like in some of her other books, the reader is dropped in to the story with no background info. Exposition is done as needed instead of dumped so doesn’t bog down the story.
The situation was unexpected. It’s mildly suspenseful, but we don’t learn how that part is solved.
Cristopher and Lucy’s drama will have you all up in this story! They took a class where they worked together to create a project plan. What made Gina angry was that he took their work and used it himself. When she found out that he was a CEO and needed her help only made matters worse because Gina thought that they were on the same level and really liked each other. Christopher has a lot to atone t. Will Gina give him another chance and can it lead to a happily ever after for the two?

This was a fun book to read. Gina and Chris both got results but their point of view and methods were in opposition. Watching the normally take no prisoners Chris trying to change his image and end result and Gina’s softer but just jump in and get it done attitude trying to work together was interesting. The book was entertaining and also insightful on why either method could be right or wrong. I hope Julia gets her own book. It would be interesting to watch her transformation.
