Read 2/7/18
Love Me Like This was Bella Andre’s third book in the Morrisons series. I love this series and am always awaiting the next release.
Justin was Sean’s twin brother (Kiss Me Like This, book one). We knew that he had a crush on his best friend in college, Taylor Cardenes, but we didn’t know many details. Now five years later, they are both well into their careers, have drifted apart and we meet them again.
It was a sweet story, with a secondary storyline as the main focus. And although Justin was smart and sexy, the sex scenes were understated; still a graphic scene or two, but not the main focus and was minimal. It can be difficult to write a story when two characters have a second chance because they typically do it right the second time around, thus it can be a challenge to keep it interesting. Andre overcame this challenge through creating an emotional secondary plot. She then took us through a realistic perspective of the raw decisions and outcomes. No spoilers here, so no hints at the plot, but know it was well written, fast paced, intriguing, well worth the read and the entire Morrison clan weighed in.
Andre gave us teasers for Olivia and Grant on who could be the next Morrison to fall, but no confirmation yet. It could also be the delightful and fun youngest sibling, Maddie. Either way, it promises to be another interesting saga and I can’t wait.
I LOVE THE MORRISSON FAMILY!!! I love the Morrison family as much as I love the Sullivan family!!! I love the way Ms. Andre’s books ALWAYS remind me of the love of “family”. I was recently visiting family in the Erie area of Pennsylvania. While I was there we drove thru Northeast which is wine country in PA. Seeing all the lines of grape vines, I could imagine some of the scenes that took place in this book. Unfortunately, the vines I saw were bare, and the ground was covered in snow and it was a lot colder. Brrr.
Okay, back to this phenomenal book. Justin and Taylor…. O. M. G. The love between these two. To be able to find a love like this…. sigh. Coming back together after eight years only to realize the friendship was still there as well as the love that each unknowingly felt for the other was still there and getting even stronger. I do not want to give ANYthing away, so I am not going to say more. I will say Justin will prove to you just how much he loves Taylor.
This is a wonderfully emotional book. I cried like a baby several times. The hardest cry, when Michael read the letter that Lisa wrote to Justin and Taylor, to be read at their wedding. OMG, did I cry!!
Thank you, Ms. Andre, for gifting me with an ARC of this phenomenal book. It has greatly helped me through a challenging time of the year. I cannot define how much I LOVED this book.
I know this, I cannot wait to see which family member has the next book. There were hints about each and every family member, except maybe one… Michael. Hmmmmm.
Thank you for reading my review of this simply amazing book. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did. So, what are you waiting for? It releases January 24th at all vendors
Kudos Ms. Andre on another AMAZINGLY PHENOMENALLY EMOTIONAL BOOK!!!
Taylor and Justin have been best friends since college, and have secretly been in love for just as long. They meet again when Taylor opens a Bed and breakfast. It’s their second chance at love, but Taylor’s medical problems bring challenges.
Taylor and Justin’s story was a good read. It has been a while since I have read about the Morrisons so I had kind of forgot about this family. I suggest you read the first 2 so you will know some background on Taylor and Justin. As I began to read, I began to remember that I was rooting for Justin and Taylor in the earlier books when they were just friends. This one has some parts that will touch your heart. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
I love Belle Andre’s books!
I love her books. Have read every one in the series and can’t wait for the next ones to come out.
Wonderful series
Another great read
This is not my first Bella Andre book, but it is my first Morrison’s book.
I was hesitant when I started this book because I thought it was going to be full of angst, tears, and heartache. I should have known better. After all, this is a Bella Andre book.
Once again, she met and exceeded the challenge of creating, a strong couple who were not only loving and supportive, but had strong family support. She hits you with every emotion; love, fear, sadness, anger, frustration, etc., and ultimately an under happiness.
Justin and Taylor touch your heart as they reconnect and work through an issue that at minimum would be daunting. They get a second chance and they make sure it is not wasted.
You are pulled into Justin and Taylor’s world, and that is where you live until you turn the last page.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
This is a great 2nd chance romance story. Taylor and Justin we the best of friends in college. One night they got drunk and kissed. The next day Taylor back tracked, gave the excuse about being drunk and not meaning to cross a line. Justin took it a face value. Then he was sent to Germany on a grant for research. 5 years later Justin is back in town for a family wedding, and reunited with Taylor. He wants to start up what he had always wanted in college. Taylor did not want to start anything because of the timing in her life. But life has a funny way of making things show up just when you need them. There were a couple parts that had me on the edge of freaking out or crying. I was happy that they got together and had a chance to work through things. Families had to put their opinions in. She had her ex-boyfriend show up to throw a wrench in the mix. The twists and pieces of drama had me not wanting to put the book down.
all of her books are entertaining love them all.
loved this book – beautiful storyline. Can’t wait to read more of this series.
Another Bella Andre hit
Love all of Belle’s books.
Good book
I will always read a Bella Andre romance because I know there will always be deep emotions, an HEA and strong family (whether blood or bond) connections. I also liked that the storyline shines a light on PDK (Polycystic Kidney Disease) a topic that hits clise to home for me. Love Me Like This fits perfectly into these aforementioned attributes. As far Justin and Taylor’s love story goes; it’s tender, poignant, passionate and heartwarming.
One of my favorite authors!
Bella Andre is one of my favorite romance writers. She never fails to deliver stories with interesting characters and plots.
Justin and Taylor’s story is bittersweet. Just as they admit their true feelings for each other after years of friendship, reality gives them a swift kick. A beautiful, tender and a rollercoaster of emotion romance that brings tears to your eyes and a warmth to your heart.
The characters r great but the story needed more. It was a bit weak
