I absolutely love this author but I have to be honest and say that this book was not my favorite from him. I thought the book felt disconnected at times, the book didn’t flow as well as his others and there wasn’t as much chemistry as I would have liked between Mallory and Hayden. Now having said that, I honestly love this author so please read all reviews and the authors synopsis if that is how you choose your next read. Just because I didn’t thoroughly enjoy this one read, doesn’t mean you won’t. I am giving this book a total of 3.5 stars.
Loved this book.
Brilliant storyline and brilliant characters.
Loved Haydn, Mallory and Ace.
Absolutely adored Booker.
Wonderful single Dad story with a brilliant HEA.
Mallory is the owner of the family vineyard who juggles the responsibilities of the vineyard and taking care of her mother. Hayden is an accountant/financial adviser and a single father. Mallory and Hayden don’t have time to date and are set-up on a blind date that doesn’t go well. Mallory and Hayden meet again when Hayden is called in to help resolve the discrepancies with the vineyard’s books. Mallory have great chemistry and are attracted to each other from the begging, but each of them have issues that hold them back. Love Me Last by Weston Parker is a great book full of drama and scorching hot chemistry. Booker, Hayden’s son, and Ace, Hayden’s brother, are scene stealers. I would definitley recommend getting Love Me Last by Weston Parker. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Good sweet romance. Hayden thinks he’s going to dinner with his brother Ace, but Ace has set him up on a date with Mallory. To say they don’t hit it off is an understatement. She ends up walking out. Hayden is also the man that Charlie wants to hire to fix their books before the IRS comes in a month. They don’t get along. Neither one is looking for anything, love, a relationship, a one night stand, nothing. It’s just sex, right? But it slowly happens. It takes a while, but they slowly realize it’s love, and the kind that lasts a lifetime. Good book.
It’s been a while since I read a Weston Parker book and this was a perfect story to remedy that. I loved the fact that this is a single father story, throw in enemies to lovers. Perfect combination for a great read! I can’t wait to read more by Weston Parker!!
This is another fantastic story by one of my favorite contemporary authors. It is fairly long, but worth the read. Mallory is a single accountant and works too much. She is introduced to a single father for a business deal, but they didn’t hit it off too well. They meet again, and sae occurs. They have issues to resolve, but worth going through. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy.
Hayden is a single father raising his six year old son Booker. He is a financial advisor who works in bursts. His brother set him up on a blind date and he showed up late. Mallory took over her family winery business. There is a problem with the financial books and the IRS has scheduled an audit of their books. Hayden shows up to his next job late. Low and behold it is the company Mallory owns. She is upset that he is late again and does not think he is the right person to fix the problem with their books. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I usually love Weston Parker’s stories; however this one was not my favorite. Overall, the story-line is well written and good. The female character, Mallory, was challenging for me to like I warmed up to her by the end. I did like Hayden and Booker a lot!! This is a mix of sweet and steamy with some drama, romance and accounting.
Loved this book! I could not put it down. A highly recommended read. I am voluntarily leaving my review.
An emotion filled and deep book worth reading
Mallory, owner of a family vineyard, gets set up with Hayden, a single dad and investigative accountant, on a blind date he has no knowledge of. As the story progresses blah judgements are formed, compromises are made and being able to see from the other’s perspective may save the day. Weston Parker never ceases to amaze me with the emotion and depth he packs into each of his books. I am wondering what he has planned next.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
As a fan of rom-com and a fan of romance in general, most stories deal with the over the top for most normal people scenario…the billionaires, bikers, military hero…
In Love Me Last, we get to daydream in real life. The possibility of finding that amazing love in a normal, humdrum life.
Hayden and Mallory are very down to earth, flawed characters. They are relatable and well developed. Their situation is ‘everyday’..not anything super extraordinary.
This book is emotional in the sense that, though there is steam.. the passion is in the feelings and emotions. A great twist on tangible fairytale love.
I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Wow he did it again. Weston has written another fabulous book. This one shows us that no matter how hard life is, you can still find the small surprises when least expecting it. Hayden and Mallory are this super cute couple that rally don’t know how to define their relationship but in the end they find that magic place and form a family and make sure that their life is where it needs to be. I hope that there is another book after this one. His brother needs his story told too. So worth the read. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
Love me Last by Weston Parker is a Single Dad Love story. The storyline is fresh, smooth and amazing while every characters in the story just stole my heart.Away from the stereo type billionaire bad boys, outlaws and cowboys, this time Weston Parker came up with an ordinary man’s love story who we meet in our day to day life.
Hayden, a freelance auditor with a six year old son, Booker, who was dropped by one of Hayden’s hookup by his doorsteps. He has a brother, Ace, who loves his brother and nephew and ready to anything for them. Ace always tries to settle Hayden making him meet new woman, fixing up dates but Hayden always cancels his date before or on the spot.
On the other end, Mallory, single woman who is has taken over her grandfather’s winery after her mother falling sick with cancer. She finds out through her financial officer, Charlie that there is a problem in the account books and they have to be found before the IRS arrives for the audit.
Ace and Charlie plays the role of Cupid in these two people, when Ace, being Mallory’s gym trainer sets her up on a date with Hayden. Though the date doesn’t goes great, unexpected they both made to meet again when Charlie hires Hayden to audit the account. From their how Hayden and Mallory’s love shapes up is the story.
There is no twists and nails biting movement, the story moves super smooth as lead gradually fall for one another. When Hayden is the best dad to Booker, Mallory is the best daughter to her mother. This story has sensual hot scenes but mostly deals with emotions. Time worth reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book.
A well written single dad romance. It has a nice storyline and plot. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Likeable characters who develops nicely through the story. I am glad that especially Mallory developed as much as she did because she was a bit of a work to handle with her judgemental side. Two characters that are both so simular but cannot see it.
An enjoyable and easy read.
Hayden and Mallory have a disastrous first date but imagine their surprise when he shows up at her workplace to help get her company out of a jam and he finds out she is his boss, can they turn it around in both work and love.
Great story, page after page.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
Even though this is one of my favorite authors, I struggled with this book. I really had a hard time liking Mallory. She was too judgmental for me and I had trouble feeling the chemistry between her and Hayden. It got better eventually but if not for Hayden, Booker and Ace who were all great characters, I probably wouldn’t have finished this one. The flow of the story also sometimes felt disconnected from chapter to chapter. Instead of continuing the scene from previous chapter with different POV, there was lots of repetition of past scenes and inner thoughts first before eventually picking up where the previous chapter ended. It really bothered me at times since this messed up the flow of the story for me.

Hayden a single is not interested in the dating scene. He gets set up on a blind date with Mallory and that fails miserably. Mallory needs someone to look at her company bank accts because things are off. In walks Hayden. The two have a better go of it when they see each other this time. They build great chemistry. Their relationship blossoms into a beautiful relationship.
Well, I usually love Weston Parker’s books, he is an amazing author, always writing great stories. And I loved the plot of this one too. I loved the characters of Hayden, Booker and Ace. But I actually hated Mallory’s character. And I didn’t really like her mom either. They were annoying and frustrating. It was realistic, but it was not what I wanted to read. Still, Weston made another well written story, and I still recommend reading his other books.

Love single dad stories. It’s nice to read about the dads that are doing it too. Good story with a happy ending.
Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a well written story and hooked me from the start. This is a quick hot read, with a interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam!
