Love this series. It has everything needed to make it great including an emotional spin that will keep you hungry for more. This author does it well and pulls no punches as she takes you thru the gambit. Here are my reviews on the individual books. Great series worth every penny and all of the time.
Book 1
The power and pain of young love gone terribly wrong by no fault of their own is so well written you can’t help but hurt a little for these two. This tender story is laid out before us by this author with style and heart. When the second chance comes for them it might fare worse than the first if the strength and truth of their love isn’t strong enough. Liv and Sebastian ring true and that’s what makes this author a sure thing. She brings out the normal, the imperfections in her characters and makes you want to know them better and become invested in the lives, the good and the bad. Great standalone read. I can’t wait for Oliver and Saylors story and more from this author. I am loving this new trend to do carryover characters in these series so you still get an entire story in one book with no cliffhanger.
Book 2
OK Oliver did me a number in this read and I surprisingly fell under his charms which is most definitely not my usual pattern. This emotional deeply rooted trouble type of thing flowing off not one but both of these two with their complicated past. The angst is clear and so is the effect but when Oliver goes all out. . . . well let’s just say there is a reason their story takes more than one book. I found myself uttering a soft awww for Oliver’s actions as he surprised me and felt a tear for Saylor for her strength and compassion. I don’t give a 5 star review often but this one was easily earned.
This author is quickly writing her way into my heart with her fun and emotional reads this one is just as good. Each time I have picked up her book so far I have been completely and thoroughly entertained and emotionally wrung out. This series. . . . is most definitely a keeper and I highly recommend the read if you are looking for sexy but not over the top but mostly a good heartfelt read.
Book 3
There was nothing about the story that I didn’t like. OK if I acknowledge this I will be in the minority but it fit these characters so well that I couldn’t let it impact my rating. OK yes I wanted to choke Saylor many times during the book but it didn’t make the book less. I mean it has EVERYTHING in it. Characters that change everything you thought about them, others that are what they are. This author put this story together so well and with the issues these two have I shouldn’t be surprised it would go into two books (man I hated the ending). There are a lot of things that will be cleared up in the next book but the suspense, fun, passion (ok these two are doing to each other what they did with the world!!). The author does it all so well you don’t even realize you are at the end I kept trying to get to another page but there was none. I need the next book now!!
Book 4
I don’t have the words for this review. I thought I loved Ollie and Saylor’s story before but man when she woke up and not know who he was my heart broke for him. These two had both dealt with enough pain and heartache in their lives. At least they had if they hadn’t had this author working so diligently against them!! Well ok so I loved the twist and turns and I love how Ollie gave her the time without giving her too much space and was just himself well kinda. Great story because this author once again does all of the right things. All the emotions, betrayal, lies, abuse, it’s just an all around good read with steam. . . no not steam because Ollie and Saylor are way past steam, hell they have been more than that since they met.
