Quite An Emotional Christmas
Prepare for a tug on your heartstrings as you listen too or read this shorter novel. It is the perfect length for an evening relaxing by the fireplace while enjoying a special Holiday eggnog. The storyline covers several topics that make Christmas such an unbearable holiday for the protagonist, Lottie. The author touches on parental desertion, terminal illness, death, social ineptitude and unrequited love as issues that make the upcoming holidays so difficult for Lottie. She travels with her Mom and is miserable due to her fear of driving, but after arriving at her Aunt’s home, the doorbell rings & Lucas stands there before her. Could this Christmas turn out different for her? A snowballing of events culminates into something unimaginable yet beautiful and Lottie’s belief’s about Christmas are challenged when she’s faced with potential happiness. Will she pass on this chance or believe in Santa’s power?
I found this novel a sweet, heartwarming Christmas story that’s great to read or listen too after a busy day of getting ready for the holidays. It will remind you of what love, family and Christmas is all about. This book is part of a series and some of it’s supporting characters are featured in the other novels. Despite this, “Love Me,Darling “ is a stand-alone novel and the author does a very good job with character development. The narration was fairly well done, although, to better differentiate the male characters, a change to a slightly deeper tone would have been helpful. Overall, this was an enjoyable read/listen and I would recommend this novel to any reader who enjoys lighthearted holiday love stories.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from StoryOrigin in exchange for an honest review. I am not related nor friends with this author. The opinions expressed in this review are fully mine unless identified as that of another person.
Love Me Darling by Laura Burton is a sweet and clean love story. Lottie and Lucas have known each other for years. The characters are charming. Charlie Emmeline Albers has a very nice voice for this listen. She expresses the emotions fittingly.
I liked this book! Wonderful characters and great storyline. A must add to your TBR list!
Just the thing if you need a break and want a little light hearted romance. Charming characters, Christmas, and true love, you can’t beat that. This would be a perfect book to read to cheer you up on a dreary winter day. I received a free copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Love me darling. 3 1/2 stars
At the beginning of this story (mainly ch 2), I was so confused by all the names of people. Like I should know them already. Which I would have if I had read the other books in the series (which I didn’t know was a series, when I started it). That being said, it was a cute easy story to read. The characters we’re like someone in your own family. I would recommend this book, but I would strongly suggest reading the other books in the series 1st. I’m sure it would help explain who some of the people are! “I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
Laura Burton has written a 5-star book that has Lottie’s feelings for Lucas coming back. Lottie and her mother are going to her Nanny Mavis’ for the Christmas holiday. She is not a Christmas holiday person because her father left her and her mother on Christmas eve when she was a child. She sees Lucas who she has had feelings for as long as she can remember. Lucas has feelings for Lottie but has never gone forward with them. As they spend more time together will they let the other one know how they feel? Lucas is just about to talk to Lottie and tell her something when his ex-girlfriend shows up and he leaves with her.
Will Lotties’ Christmas get better or will it just be her and her mom?
Will Lucas go back with his ex-girlfriend or will he go to Lottie and explain?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a great small town Christmas read !! I loved it !! From friends to lovers with an appearance of an ex girlfriend. Aww the excitement of babies and the sadness of death looming in the air. Love that blossoms seems to make everything alright. Loved it !!
There were other books in the series that I’ll have to go back and read theirs. If they are like this one I know they’ll be great!!
I received this as an ARC for my honest and voluntary review.
Love Me, Darling is such a fun read! Its a small town romance and it’s such a cute story. It has romance, it even has a baby towards the end. It’s funny, it’s charming and I LOVED it . I even tried at the end of the book. Happy tears!!
Again I loved the book and it comes highly recommended. There are other books to this series. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. It’s worth 10 stars, in my opinion.

A short Christmas romance promised to warm your heart this winter and it did not disappoint. Lottie hates Christmas for personal reasons more than just the lights giving her a headache. She’s a girl full of heart, but also funny. I found myself giggling through the whole book, and the romance was epic cute. Lucas is her childhood crush, who is also pretty funny because he’s always liked her, but never had the guts to say anything. Is Christmas really the best time to open his heart? Well, he sure thinks so. I really loved this corky romance. It was sweet and cute, and it sure warmed my heart. If you enjoy laughter, tear-jerking moments, and swoon-worthy romance all wrapped up in a Christmas gift wrap, don’t even bother looking anywhere else. This story is for you.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

A wonderful short sweet Christmas romance. This enjoyable standalone is part of a series enabling you to see previous series characters as your engaged witha friends to lovers romance. The characters are interesting and well developed in a funny engaging story. I voluntarily read and reviewed this holiday ARC.
Love Me, Darling is a sweet holiday romance about two people who have always been attracted to each other but never had the courage to voice their feelings. The characters are wonderfully written, lovable, and relatable. The storyline is delightful, with humour, family, a new child to celebrate, Christmas cheer, and a charming romance.

Lottie has been down on her luck, but she keeps her unique sense of humor. Forced to drive her mother home for another overly large Christmas celebration, she answers the door of the family manner to find Lucas standing there carrying a box of goodies for the party. She would recognize that tuft of hair and the legs below the box he’s carrying anywhere, and she is embarrassed that she answered the door as Lurch! Thus rendered nearly speechless. Lucas, who is Lottie’s senior by six years, has always seen her as a little girl.
Jobless, verbally-incontinent in front of the guy she likes, and reminders of past hurts plague this time of year for Lottie.
You will enjoy this story overly pushy family, Christmas magic, and romance!
This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I am going to go and get me copies of the other books in this series. I love the characters name, Charlotte aka Lottie that is my two year old’s name and we mainly call her Lottie.
This was an adorable sweet romance. Well written plot that is perfect for this time of year. This is the final book of the “Love Me” series
I highly recommend this wonderful holiday read.

So cute! While this is a stand alone, I believe reading the previous book, Love Me Sweetie, is worth it as it helped explain some of the other characters. I adore Lottie and Lucas. Their story is sweet, funny, and unexpected at times. It flows nicely and is an easy, relaxing read.
I received a free copy of this book and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
I started from the beginning on this series, but I initially skipped book 3 since it mentioned being paranormal. The first two books didn’t connect, but book four ties them all together nicely. I was happy to see Jack and Dee again along with quite a bit from Daniel and Ada – so I do recommend reading those two first. This one was so darn cute and adorable I loved it- definitely my favorite of them. After I finished this I did go back and read book 3. It wasn’t as out there as I expected, but because Toby and Amelia were in book four I was curious about their back story. Lucas and Lottie in this book were probably the most adorable couple in the series, they cracked me up! Such a sweet happily ever after!
Lottie is a very quirky introvert that hates Christmas. HATES it! She’s been in love with Lucas for years.
Lucas LOVES Christmas! He has refused to admit he loves Lottie, even to himself.
Can Lucas put Christmas joy back in Lottie’s heart?
This story fun, sweet and filled with missed opportunities, family, and a new baby!
I was given a free copy of this Audiobook In exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this British holiday romance. There are many playful characters and alot of fun things going on.
Such a cute fun read. Understandably Lottie hates Christmas but she’s back home for it. She runs into Lucas who she has had a huge crush on for like forever. However, Lucas has always seen her as a little girl. Maybe this year will be different. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and it’s a clean read. Its book 4 of a series but you can follow it without reading the others but you will want to!
Lottie hates Christmas. His father left her and her mother on Christmas Eve. Can Lucas changer her mind? He is six years older than Lottie but has known her forever. Will they face their true feelings and find happiness and love in Christmas? Sweet audiobook I received a free copy of this Audibook and I voluntarily reviewed it
