So this book confused me a bit after reading the synopsis because I thought book one ended pretty much with a happy ever after. This story doesn’t take away from this book it actually kind of surprised me. We just get to delve more deeper into their lives as they are now. Pippa and Drew definitely had their moments where I didn’t like the way they were acting other times I think it fit perfectly in with the story.
Overall this is a good story. It went places I really didn’t think it would go which made it a little bit of a surprise as I was reading it. I did like the characters I came to care about them hope that everything will turn out even though sometimes I wasn’t a huge fan of the way they were acting. I did listen to this on audio. The narrators did a good job portraying the story and these characters.
Pippa has moved on with her life but she’s changed so much from who she used to be in the past. Drew shows up wanting to be with her again, even after he broke her heart. GAH! this was so angsty but good I couldn’t put it down. Drew and Pippa took me on a crazy ride but I loved it.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.
Love Lock by S.M. West is a second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Summer Morton and Stephen Dexter. This is the second book in The Love Lock Duet Series.
I absolutely love Suzanne’s books! They always leave me with a smile. I loved the relationship Drew and Pippa. They had their struggles but you couldn’t help but root for them.
Summer and Stephen did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like forbidden romances, best friends sister romances, second chance romance or contemporary romance.
Love Lock (Love Lock Duet #2) is a story of heartbreak, forgiveness, and love. It’s not at all how I saw this story continuing but I really enjoyed it. I felt every bit of the angst, the sadness and the hope as the fantastic narrators brought these wonderful characters to life. I loved it and I highly recommend it.
Wow! I didn’t see the gut punch in the beginning of Love Lock coming and my angst loving heart was here for it. The second book in the Love Lock Duet is a heartbreaking and emotional rollercoaster full of highs and lows. I loved it.
Drew was so patient and loving in this book that you can’t help but fall in love with him. He knew he had made a mistake and he had regretted it in every moment since it had happened. This time he’s determined to fight for Pippa instead of Finn. I loved his determination and loyalty and how he loved Pippa.
Pippa is a shell of herself in this book and I loved watching Drew break down her walls to help her heal. It was heartbreaking watching her deal with circumstances in her life and it showed just how strong Pippa was.
The journey for these two to reconnect was not an easy one and will break your heart at times, but the story of forgiveness and strength that emerges is beautiful. While I like the first book in this duet, I loved this book.
Love Lock
The Love Lock Duet, Book 2
By: S. M. West
Narrated by: Summer Morton, Stephen Dexter
Pippa has moved on after being left by Drew. He couldn’t continue his relationship with her with her brother Finn, his best friend’s disapproval. Now married to Brock, a football player, life should be happy. On the outside, life looks good, but inside, it’s everything but good. Now Drew shows up, takes her life by storm and with his help and her family she may just have the chance to find her real happiness. Now I have to tell you, after the first book, I was disillusioned with Drew. But he redeems himself, shows his true worth and I am head over heels for him! He is not giving up on this second chance. Pippa has matured and I love how strong and capable she is. Her reluctance to be with Drew is understandable, but it’s satisfying how determined he is to make it all work. Plus we get Finn and Paige too, and where they are at in their lives. I enjoyed this series, with it’s relevant issues, a bit of angst and the idea of getting that second chance. A wonderful conclusion to this duet!
Summer Morton and Stephen Dexter finish out the duet with a narration that is spot on! Each emotion is felt and their voices compliment each other perfectly. Morton is impeccable as Pippa, letting us into her feelings and grabbing at our hearts. Dexter tunes into Drew and shines as the man we knew he would become. His voice has so rich, that we can hear all the feelings in his dialogue. I love this team.

Love Lock
The Love Lock Duet, Book 2
By: S. M. West
Narrated by: Summer Morton, Stephen Dexter
WHAT??????? Where did it all go wrong? If you have not read or listened to the first book in this amazing duet STOP right here spoilers ahead. I highly recommend starting with “Love Block” before this. I thoroughly enjoyed that book and was very happy the way it ended with Pippa and Drew finally together. Excited for a continuation of their story I immediately started this book, only to have the rug pulled out from under me. Pippa is married and not to Drew, yep, Drew and Pippa are no more, it was heartbreaking to hear since I was rooting for them from the start. That said I must say this book, as the first is well written and brilliantly plotted, S.M. West brings out all the punches in this book, without giving anything away she does a fantastic job covering some serious topics and keeping it real and showing somethings are meant to be as she brings things around in a full circle. She shows up where life took Pippa and Drew, how they got there and then where they wind up. It was also great to see that Finn had grown as a person and got the help he needed to get past his issues and to recognize the errors of his way. This story is so much more than a second chance romance it is also a second chance at living life. S.M. West, thank you for this beautiful, heartfelt story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Summer Morton and Stephen Dexter continue to bring these characters and their story to life. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, grasping each of their personas and playing that role with perfection. Both are entertaining storytellers and mega talented. It is always a pleasure to listen to their work. Thanks for another awesome listen
You don’t want to miss this page-turner from S.M. West! All the love! All the feels!
Pippa has tried to move on after Drew ended things with her. All it did was send her into the arms of a man that didn’t deserve her and it was like her life was draining from her. She see Drew again at her brother’s wedding and the old feeling come back but she is still wary of him after how he treated her. Drew is tired of fighting his feelings for Pippa because of his friendship with her brother. He wants to see happiness light up her eyes once more and will do whatever he has to to make that happen. What will Pippa’s brother say about them being together? Will she give Drew a second chance at her heart?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them sizzled with each turn of the page, This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Love Lock by S.M. West
WOW WHAT?!?! So the end of book 1 Love Block I had a feeling their relationship was a Happy for Now but never did I see book 2 starting with this kind of bang! This story brought a whole new level of angst, heartbreak, emotions and suspense.
It has been five years since he broke her heart and she has since moved on to get married. Yet her life isn’t as perfect as it appears to be. Drew finds out that something is wrong and heads to LA. She’s still the sweet woman he knew but something is wrong there’s a profound sadness surrounding her. It’s as if she is slowly dying in front of his eyes. She tries to push him away but he won’t walk away again.
Their journey was hard fought battle of wills. Their chemistry was still there but could she forgive him?Can he convince her his love will last forever? This book will send you on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride so hold on an enjoy the ride.
Five
Pippa and Drew’s story continues in book two of the Love Lock Duet and picks up five years after their breakup in book one. If you haven’t read book one Love Block I recommend you read it first before starting book two otherwise you will be lost. Pippa and Drew go through so much in their relationship and it is quite an emotional ride but will they finally get their HEA? This is a well written book filled with drama, angst, heartache, romance and so much more.
I was so surprised where the author took us. After reading the first book I thought Drew and Pippa would immediately get their HEA. That was not the case. This book blew my mind broke my heart then put it back together. This was the perfect conclusion to Drew and Pippa’s story.

Love Lock is book two and the final book in the Love Lock duet, so you must read Love Block first. I was content with the ending of book one and was pretty happy for being a duet, that is until you read this book. All my blocks just came tumbling down when you begin to read this book, and never did I expect this to play out they way it did. I will say for those of us who were not fans of Finn (Pippa’s brother and Drew’s BF) in the first book, he has completely redeemed himself.
Pippa oh Pip, I don’t even know what to say to avoid spoilers. My heart breaks for you and then some. Riggs a secondary character is someone I would like to see more on including the siblings. Pippa’s heart is/was broken so she does what she believes is best for her. Moves on. Well as you know some renovations go smoothly and others not so smooth so think of this while reading this story. What would you do? I can see how easy it was to fall into the pattern (best way I can state this). While sad it happens, but in the end the renovation is starting to look as it should. The light is at the end of the tunnel.
Drew it took you a long time then and now to redeem yourself when it came to Pippa. You may be her past, but your future is looking bright. So, until you can win back her love sit back and enjoy some Jellybeans (you will understand in the story). You may not always agree with his actions, but he is a man after all, so it takes them a little longer to do things. Haha
This duet is heartfelt, twists you did not expect and the love between all these characters is what a family truly is. So, unlock your heart and build your story together. I truly enjoyed this duet once my heart was no longer blocked from fear of where this was going. The fear only lasted a NY minute. I recommend this duet to others who enjoy second chances and BFs siblings.
A fastpaced story filled with emotions and wonderful characters. I loved the storyline and the chemistry between Pippa and Drew.

Mind-blowing! Nail-biting! Heart stopping! Heart racing! An emotional roller coaster, characters you will love more and more as the story progresses, and a HEA you will root for. A phenomenal read!

This book is an emotional rollercoaster ride! The highs and lows of what transpires with Pippa will have you fighting for her throughout the book. Drew certainly has his work cut out for him in securing his future with Pippa. But after all his wrong decisions, he makes a lot of great ones to help her through her trials. A conclusion to their story you won’t want to miss!! You MUST read book one of the series. This is not standalone.
Oh my hat this was amazeballs…
Previous reviewers have outlined the story so I’ll share how it made me feel. Emotional is too tame, I laughed, I cried, I wanted to kill the heroine’s husband, I wanted to hug all her saviours, & more for the hero who loved her for ever & for ever after. Flawlessly written, this was so romantic, sexy & heart healing I can’t recommend this highly enough. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review,
SM West has taken the expected, turned it into the unexpected and given readers a duet they won’t be able to forget about. It’s one of the best duets I’ve ever read! I love when the unexpected happens and I wasn’t disappointed with this second book of the Love Lock Duet. Having read the first book, Love Block, I thought I knew what was going to happen next, so I didn’t bother reading the blurb, and boy was I surprised. Love Lock continues the couple’s story 5 years later and you could say the first book was like an extended prologue, which you definitely need to pick up before jumping into this 5 star read.
Pippa and Drew’s journey is far from easy and you’ll find yourself hoping they can find their way out of the pain and heartache caused by the decision Drew made based on the actions of someone close to them both. I’m so glad I held off reading my advance complimentary copy of Love Block until I received Love Lock as I was then able to consume both in one night. There’s no way I could’ve waited lol. You’re definitely going to want to have both books downloaded and ready!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
I was so excited for the conclusion to Pippa and Drew’s story and it didn’t disappoint!
The beginning of the book has me a little confused but that was rectified quickly.
It was full of drama, sadness, longing but of course it also had sweetness and happiness.
It was a super quick and easy read that left me warmhearted

I have to say Drew drove me nuts through most of the book. I thought he wised up at the end of Love Block but I can’t believe he messed up again. It took him 5 yrs but better late than never.
