Marketing manager, Jolie Amherst, searches the deep south for a picturesque location to launch a hometown microbrewery brand for a megastar. A task that proves challenging when the residents of the perfect town declare war on her project. Her salvation comes in the form of a handsome, yet quiet photographer who volunteers at churches and helps kittens out of trees. A man she hopes will vouch for … for her and win the townspeople over in time.
Recovering addict, Evan Barnes, is rebuilding bridges with his family and friends after years of causing them nothing but pain. He struggles to remain focused, working humble jobs and remembering his sole purpose in life is to remain clean and sober. But when a young woman swings into town offering him a chance to fulfill his dreams of being a professional photographer, he must choose between risking his sobriety working around alcohol or keeping his promise to those he loves.
When Jolie’s photographer cancels at the last minute, she pleads with Evan to cover the shoot, but how can he save anything, when he couldn’t even save himself from addiction?

Evan was a selfish destructive addict in Hope in Sweetwater County and I didn’t think there was was any redemption in him after all the damage he and hurt he caused, but he changed after rehab and even though he still struggles he put the good of the town and his mother first before himself in this book. Jolie is struggling with her new PR company, her aling judgmental mother, and a selfish greedy sister. She makes a connection with photographer Evan and this town and wants to use his photos for a PR microbrewery campaign. Jolie admits that she’s had her own addictions related to food and weight issues and I can relate. It frustrated me that the townspeople were willing to judge Evan without listening to the facts even though he was showing how much he was trying to make amends with the people he’d hurt. This was a clean Christian redemption romance.
This is another really good story in the Sweetwater County. A young man with alcohol and substance abuse, comes home after a stint in a center to get clean.
He is now in a program at the church where the town has started a men’s shelter to help them further their success in their recovery. He has to live at the shelter, work at the church and around the grounds.
He is also a really good photographer and just tries to stay away from that as well, as his abuse and photography went together. He did really good and was addicted to the celebrity he was obtaining.
A new woman comes to town to scout out a place to do an ad for a new microbrewery. She is a real go getter and a city girl in the country in Tennessee.
She needs a photographer for the test shots and she finds out he is a photographer. But he wants nothing to do with it.
This is a really good story with well created characters, and these two are new to the stories and a good fit for each other. Imagine a small town where everyone knows each other and everyone helps each other. That’s what Sweetwater is like.
Can they be happy about this young man who caused a lot of trouble for those around town in his youth and during his abuse, or will they remember the youth who caused all the trouble he did. Will they accept him back into their town and lives? Will they accept this woman who comes to town when they think she wants to put an actually microbrewery, when she only scouted out this beautiful town for a campaign?
I highly recommend this story and I know you will enjoy it.
I was gifted this story without any pressure to review, but I really loved it and wanted to give one, and this is my own, honest review.
I truly am sorry this is the last book in this series but it was a great storyline that leaves you hopeful for the future of the main characters. I won’t give anything away but when you’re finished with this series, the author has other series that you can check out that are must reads too.
