Single father Colin McKinnon has roots and obligations that have kept him firmly in Dublin his entire life. He once planned to explore the world, but he was bound by duty and gave up on his dreams long ago. When he meets free-spirited American travel writer Maggie in a pub, he’s intrigued. She could help him get a taste of what he lost, rattle the chains of his self-imposed isolation. Instantly … Instantly drawn to her light, beauty, and sense of adventure, Colin can’t stay away.
Maggie Spencer doesn’t just crave the open road, she needs it to survive. After a harrowing accident and life-changing loss, she rebuilt her life by exploring new places on her own. When she accepts a temporary job writing about day tours in Ireland, she falls in love with Dublin and the man she teaches to explore it. Through their daily adventures, they learn opposites do more than just attract—they can also help each other heal.
But can a man with deep roots keep a woman with wings by his side?

beautiful love story with wonderful characters, uplifting and sad, hopeful and tragic all at the same time.
Traveling widow writer meets divorced man in Dublin. Determined not to give up traveling, she almost gives up on love. Good story, but entirely too much explicite sex.
Otherwise I would give it a 5 star.
Loved this book!
Very enjoyable and sweet story.I love the way Jennifer Gracen wove it all together.
Enjoyable light reading
Well developed, realistic characters. it seemed to me that even the minor characters had their own backstory in the author’s mind. I enjoy stories about people finding their way through the kinds of challenges that happen to all of us…the quiet heroism of doing your best with the hand you’re dealt.
A wonderful story of second chances.
My first by this author, even though it is the fourth in a series. I enjoyed it very much. The love-making scenes were not cringe-inducing, as is often the case with romance authors – looking at you, Nora Roberts! The characters were believable and interesting and the setting of Ireland was wonderful. Very good.
I enjoyed how the male lead was developed overtime and how positive, understanding, and intuitive the female lead was.
Colin and Maggie
One of the best books I have read so far this year. Nothing was rushed and flowed seamlessly. Spectacular characters that were all meant to be family.
great descriptions of setting in Ireland
Recommend only if you want to read about explicit sex. The story really didn’t need to be so explicit. It was a good story without going overboard on the detailed oral sex.
Ms. Gracen has perfectly captured the landscape, inhabitants and cadence of life on the Emerald Isle. The writing was so true to character, that I could easily imagine sitting in the pub tipping a whisky. This is a great love story!
I LOVED this book! I would really enjoy going to lunch with the characters — in Ireland! 😀
I could have done without the explicit sex, but did really enjoy the book. The characters worked through many life issues and were able to overcome them in positive ways. The main characters were quite charming.
Great story of two journeys to love.
Loved this book !
I love watching Colin and Maggie meet, learn about their previous lives, and finally ending up together.
My only wish was to know if Colin ever reconciled with his brother in NYC
Love in Dublin is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone book. It was so good, I immediately read it again. Two people from totally different backgrounds, an American travel writer and a divorced Irish dad, meet in a Dublin pub and develop a friendship which develops into something more. The problem is that the relationship was always meant to be temporary because the writer needs to go back to her life and family in the US. When she does leave, she has to figure out where home really is and if her fling in Ireland broke through her heart, which had been hardened by loss. The transformation of both main characters is heartwarming. I highly recommend this book.
She visited the places I planned to go before pandemic
This book really kept my attention…I loved it
