After losing her husband to PTSD, Cambria Henshaw desperately needs to start over, so she packs up her paints and moves to Harker Heights, Texas. Inspired by welcoming surroundings and friendly people, Cambria begins to paint one portrait after another, with one small problem: haunted by survivor’s guilt that keeps everyone at a distance—and her heart safely guarded—she can’t bring herself to … finish any of them.
Brian Davidson thinks he’s finally put his past behind him. As an anonymous CEO billionaire, he’s sure this small Texas town will be his refuge from the spiteful ex who smeared his name through the mud in the national papers. But when someone starts stalking his baseball practices, threatening to expose his identity, he worries his ex is back for more revenge.
When Cambria and Brian are thrown together during a service opportunity through their grief group, the attraction is undeniable, but so is their hesitation. As the two of them battle their inner demons and their real-life enemies, they must both decide what they’re willing to risk for a 9th-inning chance at “home-run” love.

I loved it!! I love Cambria and Brian and I especially love how they met. Brian’s gift to Cambria was also so good. Cambria’s painting of the graffiti walls was also good. Great characters with the Walkers, May, Rob, Jean and her mother. Great plot and overall story!
I received a copy of this book from the author, however, I am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
Such a good story! Two hard working people coming together after overcoming trials of their own. Such a sweet clean romance!
I love the way she addresses mental health in this. It’s not at all overwhelming but it isn’t overlooked either. Such a good story!
I have not been a big one for the Billionaire romances, though it is kind of fun to escape for a bit. This is a beautiful story of two people who need each other to heal. Neither was looking for love and they were both running from a past. Jenny handled the issues related to PTSD and suicide beautifully and respectfully. I love this story and couldn’t put it down. Stories are so much richer when there is something to overcome.
Inspiration is found in painting again and professional baseball. An enjoyable story
I really liked Jenny’s newest book. I liked the military PTSD aspect and the reminder of what those men and women sacrifice for our country. The characters were lovable. Sweet book!
This is a wonderful story. I think Jenny handled Shawn’s PTSD and suicide quite well. She also did well handling the grief process for both Cambria and Brian with their various losses. The only thing I didn’t like about the story was how simple the resolution of the text messages was. It seemed too behind the scenes for something that was such an important part of the story line. But beyond that, the story was fantastic! I loved reading about Cambria and Brian falling in love and figuring out how to move on in their lives while opening themselves up to each other and life.
I don’t usually like billionaire romances, but I loved this one. The motivations of the characters and there respective hobbies and interests made them very interesting.
The hardships they had to experience and overcome were very relatable. I enjoyed watching them grow and change into better people together and heal on the way.
One of my favorite books from the author yet.
A nice clean well written emotional and romantic story. Cambria an artist lost her husband to suicide. As it shows her struggles and guilt in a passionate way. It has her mother convincing her of a support group. Where she finds a chemistry that she thought she could never have again. A great emotional deep story.
This story about a young woman whose husband had PTSD and killed himself. This is such a horrible tragedy in our world today. She is an artist that has lost her ability to draw faces on her portraits until she sees a face that captures her interest. Little does she know what this chance meeting will come to mean to her and her future.
This story shows the pain that suicide leaves and is done in a very compassionate way.
