A clean and wholesome Regency romance, Love for the Spinster is the second book in the Women of Worth series. It can be read apart from the series but works best in proper order.

I will not summarize this story because it is already given in the description of this book. The purpose of this review is to give potential readers information to make an informed decision about reading this story.
What I liked:
• The storyline.
• How Daniel’s and Freya’s romance grew naturally. No, instant love.
• The pacing was good.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done and I could easily visualize them.
• It was a clean read. I really appreciate that in a book.
• The editing was good and the story flowed effortlessly.
• The climax had an unexpected twist.
What I did not like as much:
• I found Freya’s personality a little abrasive.
This is the first book I have read by this author and she is now on my list of authors to read.
I received an ARC of this story from the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own.
4 1/2 stars. I very much enjoyed the story of Freya and Daniel. Having read of Freya and her devastating experience in an earlier book of the series, it was interesting to see her in a very different stage of her life.
I loved seeing the growth of their relationship and found it particularly interesting how their relationship actually began through correspondence — and that pretty much as strangers. They were an excellent match which was obvious early on (from a reader’s viewpoint) and which they eventually discovered. There were also some secrets revealed and I hope to perhaps learn more about this group of friends in future books by the author.
I do have to say, however, that I did not care for the narration on the audible version. I know that Mary Sarah is a well respected narrator, and I have listen to her narrate numerous books from various authors… But I’m just not a fan. Therefore I gave up the audible version early on and continued reading on my Kindle… which wound up being an excellent decision on my part.
This was such a treat to read. I really loved the whole premise of the main character falling for her steward. Its one I haven’t read before and I thought the execution was excellent. Stockton is a wonderful writer and I thought the atmosphere in this book really set the tone for the story. The pacing of the romance was just perfection! And I completely fell in love with both of the characters and was rooting for them to just realize that they are perfect for each other already! I definitely recommend this book for anyone who likes sweet regency romances.
A fun continuation of the tales of the sworn spinsters!
I thought this was an exceptionally written book.
Good story and no yucky sex! Yea!
Love vs. Title. A pleasant journey.
Overall, I loved this book. The characters were especially refreshing, but I wish there’d been a little more detail into what some of the troublemakers and gossip mongers said.
It was a great read and I look forward to reading another novel by this author.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It was interesting how the female in this book was dead set against marriage because of her parents and other bad situations she had experienced. She did not feel sorry for herself but wanted to be an independent woman. She thought of herself as on the shelf at 23. I like how the story evolves and she begins to think differently.
Great twists! Fun read.
Light and easy read. Imagine being a spinster at 23! Times change
I love this author.
Your friends are the family you get to chose. Great and Daniel were both laid low by relatives. Their friendship, begun before they met face to face, helps them through difficult times.
Very entertaining
Like iT very much.

I love the characters and not everyone needs a Duke or earl to be happy. Sweet and lovely with tears to make you hug your kindle when the last page is read.

Enjoyed this series. I liked how her story was handled. There was a nice twist with the H. I liked both the h & H. It was nice to have old characters make apperances in this book. It had good dialogue, story and nice flow. The romance developed naturally and didn’t seem forced.
I really enjoyed the first book in series and was looking forward to the 2nd book (this story), but not near as engaging as Love in the Bargain. So many characters in this story, many who play a small part but still need to know who’s who, a couple who play bigger parts of the storyline, lots of unanswered questions or cliffhangers. If these are answered in book 3, it will be a big plus, I will read it just to find out if it has the answers.
