3 dates for one million dollars. Those were the conditions he stipulated on the contract. Why she should refuse:Reason #1: She barely knew the guy.Reason #2: She had absolutely no idea why the hell he wanted a date with Her of all people. It was not like there was anything special about her.Reason #3: He was her Best Friend’s Brother for god’s sake. Totally off limits!Reason #4: He was a definite … sake. Totally off limits!
Reason #4: He was a definite danger for her heart especially when he looked at her with those sizzling grey eyes.
This is a steamy romance novella. No cheating. No cliff-hanger. And the kind of ending you will just love. Team HEA all the way!!

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were well developed and the story line flowed well.
The story line is very different from the norm. A good read, just not my favourite.

The characters and plot. Are a great mix for the way the book reads and the way the book flows with the context

This was my first book by Lindsey Hart and I really enjoyed it. I love brother’s/sister’s best friend romances. This one had a little twist where the best friends were male and female.
Shane and Nina have been best friends since they were little. Shane’s older brother, Chet, left town when he was sixteen. Now he’s back after inheriting a large amount of money from their estranged father. In exchange for Shane’s share of the money, Chet wants three dates with Nina. She has no idea what Chet sees in her, but she agrees to the dates.
Instant attraction and lots of chemistry between Chet and Nina. A pretty fast paced and short story that feels like a full length novel. Shane is an awesome best friend and Nina is witty and fun and Chet is sweet and sexy. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Hart’s books.
Nina and Shane have known each other since they were about 4 years old. Shane has a brother, Chet who left when he was 16. Shane gets a call from Chet after their father dies and tells him about their father leaving Chet money. In order for Shane to get part of the money there is a condition. Shane has to get Nina to go out for 3 dates with Chet. Nina thinks that it is so wrong. She grudgingly agrees. Nina puts her own conditions for the agreement.

Chet never felt at home after his father left. He looked just like him and was afraid that he was just like him also. He hasn’t seen his mom or brother for about 15 years. Nina’s been best friends with Shane her whole life. When Shane’s brother shows up he tells her he has deal for her. His dad died and left a million dollars to Chet and he would get 1/3 of it if she would go on 3 dates with Chet. I really enjoyed this book. There is some humor in it along with great chemistry. I recommend this book.

Falling in love when you least expect it. With the person you are not supposed to fall for. That is the story of Nina and Chet. I liked the story plot and wondering if Shane will have his own story.

It was a such a cute story. Nina and Shane have been friends since kindergarten. Chet is an artist and shane little brother. He has been infatuated with Nina since he saw her on social media. He found out that their estranged father left him one million dollar. He asked Shane to set him with three dates with Nina in exchange of the whole inheritance. I loved the characters and the story.

Fun and engaging read. Love Nina, Chet and Shane as characters. They are people I can relate to. Read this book in one sitting. Excellent way to spend a Sunday. Definitely looking forward to more books from this particular author.

This is a cute, short story without any heavy mental lifting. The story would have probably done better with some fleshing out and the a little more rounding of the characters, it still was a cute read.
Nina and Shane have been best friends since childhood. Chet is Shane’s older brother that took off when Shane was just 8 years old. He’s back now after getting an unexpected windfall from their dad that walked out on them when Shane was still a baby. Unlike what the blurb says Shane is only going to get a 3 way split of the million dollars and Nina is only going to get a small portion of that. The blurb makes you thing this is along the lines of “Indecent Proposal” it really isn’t.
Did I mention this book is very sweet? While not overtly sickeningly sweet it really is still sweet. The conflict is minor and it is easily resolved. Thankfully the author does not go full angst mode and you do care a bit for the characters as they all seem to have good hearts. The author also doubles down on the sweetness by throwing in some animals to tug further at your heartstrings.
We totally get that this trio is hot, the author practically beats you over the head with the hotness of the characters. Plus the long-standing friendship of Nina and Shane is thrown at us repeatedly. Less reiterating these points and more meat to the story would have added more value.
It was nice that Nina and Chet did not immediately jump into the sack and they had albeit brief kind of sexual build up it wasn’t a lets have sex after the name exchange thing. The epilogue was nice so we could at least get some insight to the few years that lapsed and hoped that Chet came clean with his mother and brother on a secret that he found out. That part was never addressed again…

Very well written. It is emotional, heartwarming, cautious, drama, suspenseful, fun and so much more. It grabs your attention and keeps you reading without putting it down. The characters and story mesh so well together. I love this author and will definitely be reading more of her reads. No spoilers. This is a must read definitely. Imagine One Million Dollars for three dates. What could go wrong? Plenty of reasons why this wasn’t a good idea. Quite a cute, steamy story with plenty of drama and explosive chemistry. No cliffhanger and an HEA. What more could you want? I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review. Great characters and an entertaining read.
Liked the characters and it had a different twist to a typical storyline. Definitely worth the read!

Nice romance. I loved it.
Nina’s always had Shane in her life. He’s her best friend, he’s a brother to her. And, one day, he surprises her by telling her that her older brother, Chet, who left them when he was just a kid, has returned to town. He wants to share the inheritance left to them by their father, who abandoned them before Shane was born, with his mother and with him. But with one condition. He wants to go out with Nina. Three dates, nothing more. She doesn’t want to accept, but ends up doing it when Shane promises to help her pay for her studies. They’re just dates. She doesn’t have to like him. She didn’t expect to be attracted to him, to like him, or to spell her with a smile.
When Shane turned 18, Chet saw a picture of his graduation day. He was with Nina. Chet knew the little girl who was always with him, but he doesn’t know the girl who accompanies him. She has grown up, and has caught his attention. Obsession, it’s what he thinks. Or something else? Nina is his muse, and he wants to paint her. He thought that would help him get her out of his head. But they’ve met, and he can’t forget her.
I loved Chet. He has been on the run all his life, since he left home at 16, because he didn’t want to be like his father, who abandoned his family. He has realized that he is like him, that he has avoided approaching people so as not to hurt anyone, or so as not to be hurt. But now that he has returned home, and has reunited with his brother Shane and his best friend, Nina, he has discovered that he no longer wants to leave. She has made him see the damage he has done to the family, and he wants to be with them again. Not only that. He has found her. He wants to put down roots there, with Nina, if she wants to be with him.
I loved Nina. She promised Shane she wouldn’t have sex with his brother, and she has never broken her promises. But, on that occasion, she did. She feels attached to him in a way she’s never been, and she wants to try. She does not want to deceive her best friend. She doesn’t want to choose between them, between her best friend/brother and the one who could be the love of her life. She doesn’t want to choose, and that’s why she doesn’t. Or both or neither. She doesn’t want to destroy his family, and she already has. That’s why it’s better to walk away.
I loved them together, and Charlotte and Dolly.
I loved that Shane is going to talk to Chet, that he apologizes for how he behaved. He wanted to protect Nina, and he knows he was wrong. But she’s his friend, she’s more than that, she’s a sister to him. He can’t stand to be hurt. I loved that he has matured, that he apologizes, that he asks for forgiveness. He never apologizes, and he’s apologized to both of them.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
I liked the story but some parts were incredulous. Nina and Shane were best friends since childhood and had a very close friendship. Shane’s brother, Chet, was an artist who left home when Shane was 7. Chet saw a graduation picture of Nina and became obsessed with her. When he inherited some money he offered to share it with Shane if Nina would sign a contract and meet with Chet 3 times. Surprisingly, Nina agreed to this and she and Chet developed a relationship after she got to know him. Of course, there were obstacles in their way and Shane objected to their relationship. I loved seeing Nina and Chet’s relationship grow and overcome Shane’s objections.

It was an interesting read. I thought it was a little wordy. I felt she explained repeatedly about certain things that didn’t think it move the story along but I honestly think she will evolve to be a good writer.

Quaint little story about a BFF’s older brother. This is a new twist on the idea. The BFF is a guy and there is money on the line. This is very light reading and easy to get through in one sitting. This story has potential and yet it is presented in a very simplistic way. I feel the storyline can be improved on. This was a very good book about high school friends and a older brother. Nina is best friend with Shane whose older brother returns home after being away for a long time. Shane and Chet grew up in a estranged household which made Chet leave when he was sixteen. Their father dies and leaves Chet money but Chet since he saw Nina in social media was interested in her so he makes a deal with Shane that he’ll spit the money if Nina dates him three times. Can Chet get the girl and mend the conflict between his brother? Does Nina choose her best friend or Chet? I enjoyed this story that had a lot of angst and romance. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.
Nina, Shane and Chet are great characters in this romance. It is entertaining with a few twists to churn up the three main characters. Happily every thing turns out for everyone in the end. It was an enjoyable read.
Chet and Nina’s story is fantastic very emotional and spine-tingling. I could really feel the intense feelings they had for each other. Shane, Chet’s younger brother and Nina have been BFF. Shane was so used to having Nina around and having all her attention focused on him so he was jealous of Chet and Nina’s relationship. He did not have romantic feelings for her but he did not want to share her with anyone else. Shane had to work through his problems and decide what was the right thing to do. I urge you to read Lindsey Hart’s Love Contract.

Nina Anderson wasn’t expected to hear about a proposition from her impulsive, reckless, charming best friend, Shane Rempel, as soon as she walked in the door. They had been best friends since the age of 4, and she knew his crazy schemes very well. So before she let him tell her about this one, he had to make her a drink. In return, he insisted she let him tell her the whole thing before she yelled at him. Then he told her his deadbeat dad, who had left home as soon as his wife got pregnant with Shane, had died. Although he never paid child support, he left one million dollars to Shane’s older brother, Chet. The two had never been close, Chet being 8 years older. Chet left home at 16. Anyway, when he contacted and met with Shane, he offered 1/3 of the money for his mom, and 1/3 for Shane – with certain conditions. Shane had to convince Nina to go on 3 dates with Chet before he signed over the money. Shane had no idea why.
Chet had seen Nina’s pictures from Shane’s graduation pics on social media. He remembered her friendship with Shane as kids. He remembered her beautiful green eyes and he could not get her off his mind. She inspired many aspects of the art he created and was his muse. He was hoping she would let him paint her. Their first date was a simple dinner. Nina was a half hour late due to a flat tire. As she entered the restaurant, the artist in Chet cataloged every part of her, imagining how he would paint her. He finally asked her if she would allow him to paint her in a public park, and she agreed.
Shane wanted an account of how the first date went. She told him Chet would probably ask him to go for a drink so they could reconnect. Shane didn’t like that Nina thought Chet was attractive. And he told her that if she and Chet got together, he would no longer be her friend. She assured him she would never risk losing their friendship – but she was a little disturbed by the tiny doubt that sort of lingered in her stomach.
When Shane joined Chet at a local dive for a drink, Shane warned him to never hurt Nina. He told Chet that Nina had said he was attractive, and Chet couldn’t get that off his mind. Because he knew, if he had any chance at all with her, he would take it. He knew that little by little, he was already starting to love her. Would this ruin any chance for reconnecting with his mom and brother? Shane would never let him hurt Nina, no matter what. Would Nina be forced to choose her friendship over something more with Chet?
This book was so much more than I had expected. I loved the characters and the way they cared for each other while still being cautious, not only for themselves but for each other. The story line was simple but very compelling. It drew the reader in and made it worthwhile to keep reading to the end. Grab your copy and follow the story. I think you’ll be surprised where it takes you!
