Serenity always writes a wonderful story
I love this set. I’ve read My Christmas Fiancé at Christmastime for a couple of years now, but I didn’t have the other two books. So I finally got this set, and I’m glad that I did. It was great to go from one couple’s story into the next. Especially during all the holidays. I finished just before Valentine’s Day, which was perfect timing for reading My New Year’s Fling and then My Valentine’s Seduction. Each couple is awesome because neither one is too perfect nor too flawed. They all have a past, and we get to see that. I felt like these could be people that I actually know. The guys are strong, and while it’s fun to read alpha male stories, it’s also great to read stories like this that they could be the guy next door.
I absolutely loved reading these books.
My Christmas Fiancé 4.5*.
I was hooked from the very first page. I liked the working relationship between the H and H and how the sexual tension grew, once they admitted they were attracted to each other. Each chapter is told from the others POV and this really worked well in moving the story along. It was also good to have a story where both individuals are over 30. I found their back stories interesting and I loved Meg’s 13 year old son and his relationship with her. In addition I was introduced to the musician John Mayer’s music.
Note: Strong language.
My New Year Fling 5*.
Rich lost his identical twin brother on Boxing Day nearly 4 years ago. He still feels the pain keenly and during the festive period just wants to blot the days out with alcohol. The author conveys the emotional bond of twins very well, how when one of them dies they feel only half a person, but I did feel for his parents who must have felt they had lost two sons every Christmas. Rich’s neighbour at his beachfront bolthole is Jess who has had a tough life and has reasons of her own for hating Christmas. Neither wants a relationship but they become friendly when Jess helps him with his morning after hangovers and Rich finds that here is a woman who doesn’t feel the need to talk all the time and she brings calm and peacefulness to his life. Jess is into yoga, meditation and reiki principles taught to her by a woman who has helped her to turn her life around (well until her latest catastrophe). I loved Jess’ faith and how she explained her beliefs on death and like Rich I was fascinated by her synesthesia/chromesthesia. This book is told from a dual POV and can be read as a standalone. It is emotional and sexy, with strong language from the outset.
My Valentine Seduction 4*
The last of the Katoa founders to find love, Teddi is a strong, independent but lonely professional woman who doesn’t let her blindness define her. It was illuminating to read how she coped and the love that grew between her and Ethan was lovely to read about. I loved the humour particularly when Ethan’s girls met Teddi –
“I love dogs,” Beth says eagerly. “Am I allowed to stroke her?”
“No,” Maddie snaps. “She’s a blind dog.”
“She’s not blind,” I say cheerfully. “She has very good vision.”
Note: Strong language from the outset.
I received a complimentary copy of these novels from the author and voluntarily chose to review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review.

Another great story by Serenity Woods, I highly recommend it.
3 great stories. Serenity Woods is a favorite author of mine.
I found this series slow moving.
Not my taste. Plot should be more than sex.
Three different but connected stories with older, i.e. Mid thirty year old, characters. i had read the first book about a year ago but when all three became available for a reasonable price I couldn’t resist and read all three. my favorite part of all three books was when Jess told Rich that Will was all around him, in the water and air and flowers. It was a turning point in the book for the character but what a great way for anyone dealing with loss to approach it–that the persons essence is in all the things that the person loved in life?
Even though 3 of the main characters are quite wealthy, their stories have a realistic story line. I was expecting a completely different book but was very pleasantly surprised by all three stories. I look forward to reading more from this author. Don’t be surprised if you shed a few tears, the stories are good!
