This story was a fun short read filled with intrigue and romance! I would give this story a 4.5.
Brianna has always had a little crush on her brother’s best friend but Tyler has only seen her as a little sister, or so she thinks. But there’s more to why Tyler keeps his distance than he lets on.
When someone seems to be stalking Brianna, Tyler appoints himself as her bodyguard, but can he keep his secrets safe in such close proximity?
Is Brianna even in real danger? Should he trust his instincts, or should he give her the space that she seems to want?
Spoiler alert!
I would give this story a 4.5, because I think Tyler would have left after the party as Brianna asked if pushed the right way. Certainly he wasn’t so dumb as to need the night as to figure out what happened to his truck. He would have still gone back after her when he got the call from her friend.
Tyler, her brother’s best friend, isa security guard at the bank where Brianna works as a teller. Lee Garvin, a customer from a nearby town, is a customer who wants Brianna. Tyler becomes her personal bodyguard as Lee (Mr. Ponytail) ramps up his stalking.
I found myself getting frustrated with Brianna as she habitually held back important information from Tyler. This led to the predicted attack by Garvin.
This delightful southern story has the requisite HEA and even has an epilogue. The ending credits tell us there will be another story coming soon about Brianna’s brother, Chase. I’m looking forward to that!
I recommend this wonderfully woven tale. The narrator did a great job with the accents, emotions, and voice changes. She made it easy to listen to and understand what was happening at any given time.
Tyler and Brianna work together and he is her brother’s best friend. A stalker causes them to be in even closer contact which stirs up feelings between them. I loved this book. The stalker was one creepy guy. It is a short read but a well developed story. They had known each other for years so to me falling in love quickly was believable.
Love Comes for the Bodyguard was such a fun read! I liked both Brianna and Tyler, their bantering, as well as their developing a growing attraction towards each other. Their chemistry was off the charts, though I thought there were going to be more kisses between them (less than a handful). Of course, this being a Bodyguard sweet romance, there had to be the suspense factor and the stalker was done pretty well (gave me the creeps). It must also be noted that since this is a novella, the feelings are developed rather quickly, and the resolution felt like it happened way too fast (last two chapters). Still, I enjoyed it and would recommend it as a sort of cotton candy/in-between-books read.
A sweet, small town story with delightful charming characters. She’s the little sister of his best friend, all grown up and the woman he loves. She’s been crushing on him for years. Neither act on their feelings until a creepy stalker enters the picture. Lots of emotions and drama to keep you turning the pages. I am eager to read the other books in this series.
This is a sweet, suspenseful, romantic and amusing story. Tyler is a determined, protective, caring and sweet old school gentleman. Brianna is patient, stubborn, gentle and trusting. They’ve know each other for years, her big brother is Tyler’s best friend, and she’s had a crush on him since high school. They have worked together for three years, but never socialized outside of work. When Tyler sees Brianna acting funny while talking to a customer, he goes over to check on her and realizes that something is up. The next time the customer comes in Tyler keeps his eyes on him and intervenes when the customer looks threatening. He decides that he needs to watch over her, because he cares, and because his best friend threatened dire consequences if anything happened to his sister while he was gone. Spending time together sparks feelings that they don’t want to deal with. He wants her, but she’s off limits and he doesn’t think that she feels the same way. She wants him, but thinks that he’s only taking care of her because it’s an obligation. The creepy customer gets stalky and Tyler sticks to her like glue, until his Mustang gets damaged and she sends him away. Interruptions when trying to talk, or kiss, gets a little old, but it’s a great story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Brianna’s a bank teller. Her brother’s best friend, Tyler, is a guard. Mr. Ponytail is asking Brianna out, and she politely declines, but he’s persistent. Someone throws a beer bottle at her house, and has taken pictures of her going about her day. Tyler becomes her bodyguard, and spends his nights on her sofa – just keeping his friend’s little sis safe. They both begin to have feelings, but keep saying that this is just him helping out a friend. When something happens to Brianna, Tyler realizes that it’s time to admit his true feelings. This was a very sweet (and clean) small-town romance – I enjoyed the book, and hope to read more from this series.

This is a sweet story with a few unexpected twists that I really enjoyed. The well-developed characters and small town setting made me feel as if I was reading about people I know. A hint of intrigue kept me turning pages until the very end.
