☆☆☆AN AMAZON TOP 100 BESTSELLER! ☆☆☆There were three things I didn’t know when I moved into the all-girls, non-sorority house Blossom Field Avenue #246:1) The house opposite ours, #247, is home to the gorgeous jerks of the Iota Fraternity.2) Lucian Spencer Anderson lives in #247 and is possibly the hottest stripper-slash-social-science student you’ll ever meet.3) #246 (The Blossoms) and #247 (The … #246 (The Blossoms) and #247 (The Dudes) have the longest standing, most ruthless prank war in the history of rivalries.
The only thing the two houses agree on is that they live and breathe for the next battle. But the real challenge is the one I never saw coming: an alliance with Lucian. When a cold winter threatens the stray cats of Deepsilver, our mutual love for animals forces us to team up. Bad, right? Well, it gets worse: we’re going to need the cooperation of our two houses to pull this thing off.

This book is hilarious. I laughed so hard all through it that my stomach and chest hurt because I couldn’t breathe.
Lucian and Kitty are neighbors at college. They’re are in a prank war where their emotions get involved. Can they have love and pranks?
“Interesting how their culture is already rubbing off on me. I have to really pull myself together to not jump on their prank-train right away.”
Yeah, there was no way I could read the synopsis and not expect some shenanigans, right? But damn, the #Blossoms vs. #Dudes #PrankWar was beyond my imagination, it was epic! I guess that’s why I’ve learned to leave the storytelling to the author. She’s got a direct line to the most amazing characters that seem to pop-up again and again in her stories. Seeing a familiar name makes me smile every time. However, this is the first time I’ve read a Sunniva Dee #RomCom. I can tell you without exaggeration that I laughed until I cried and could no longer see the pages of my Kindle while reading Love by Pranks.
Kitty is the newest resident at Blossom Field Avenue #246. As she was driving up to the house for the first time she got her first gander at her hot neighbors at #247. They didn’t even let her get out of the car before they introduced themselves and made it obvious that her future was not going to be boring. I couldn’t help liking them immediately, they were silly and sexy and seemed harmless. It wasn’t until her new roommates explained the ongoing war between the girls and the guys that she realized the extent of their crazy. I kinda thought she would be shy and timid, planning to keep to herself and hide out in her room. Wrong. She’s badass and has a brilliant mind. Yes, I have a girl crush.
As they take turns pranking each other they try to outdo themselves and each other every time. Their plotting becomes diabolical and hilarious. I suggest you limit your fluid intake while reading or you might need to wear some Depends to avoid a laughter induced accident.
In the midst of the hilarity Kitty, an animal lover, becomes involved in a situation that she brings to both houses to find a fix. Can they put their competition on the back burner long enough to team up and do some good? Will their rivalry get in the way of the attraction that was undeniable from the first meeting between Kitty & Lucian? And did I mention that he’s a stripper? I mean really, could you resist him? I think not. Would the world stop turning if a ‘Blossom’ fell for a ‘Dude’? Maybe she can just blame it on the #PinkCocktails & #PiratePunch when her filter disappears and no becomes yes.
Maybe it’s only outside the bedroom that “We’re girl-power warriors who’ll never surrender.” Cuz, when I was practicing some virtual voyeurism there was definitely some surrendering taking place in the best of ways. I’m thrilled to report that the author plans to continue the fun with more stories involving these incredible characters and I can’t wait to jump back in. The line forms here…
Kitty and Lucien meet when she moves into 246 Blossom Ave. She quickly becomes a real Blossom and joins in on the pranks against the Dudes of the Iota Frat House at 247 Blossom Ave. The 2 houses are constantly trying to one up each other with the better prank. Small complication when Kitty and Lucien realize they might actually have feelings for one another.
The #LovePranks books are light and funny. Great read for when you need a good laugh. I have read several Sunniva Dee books and always looking forward to reading her again.
I enjoyed this book so much!! This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I know one thing I will be continue this series, love the characters, love the pranks..just so much fun to read!
This was a cute and funny story. Kitty is studying to be a vet and she switches schools and moved into a house with a bunch of college girls known as Blossoms. There she meets Lucian who lives next door in a house with a group of guys named The Dudes. The two houses are at war with each other. This was a funny story to read as each group tries to one up each other in prank wars and inbetween that the hook ups. Love it once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
Can’t wait to read more from this series. Hoping Seraphina and Guns story is next.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
Love by Pranks (#LovePranks Book 1) by Sunniva Dee is a contemporary, new adult, romantic comedy. It’s told from the first person, single point of view of the main character, Kitty Hoskins.
When Kitty moves into off-campus housing on Blossom Street with a bunch of other college girls, she doesn’t know what she’s signed up for. She quickly learns her housemates are in a prank war with the fraternity across the street. Outside of pranking, the frat guys are off limits. It’s a house rule: There will be no relationships or consorting with the enemy. But it’s getting harder and harder for Kitty to stay away from Lucian.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. I didn’t really connect with the characters as easily as I would have hoped, but I did like them. Full of silly hijinks, some cringe-worthy pranks, and a few laughs. This was a light fun read, and I did purchase the next book in the series.
3.5 stars… Love by Pranks is a really fun rom-com and my first book by Sunniva Dee. It takes place in a college setting where the Blossoms and Dudes are in an all-out prank war. Trying to one-up each other when it was their turn, these pranksters really had me chuckling at times and were quite the colorful bunch. But I felt that the pranks overshadowed the underlying forbidden romance between Kitty and Lucian, which felt more like an insta-sex turned relationship rather than having the build-up of getting to know each other first. And maybe that just reflects the life of college kids. Overall, if you’re looking for some crazy and ridiculous good-natured fun, this book has it in spades. Aside from the story, Sarah Puckett did an amazing job with the narration. She has a talent with conjuring up so many different voices and staying on point throughout the entire story. I truly think the narration added a higher level of appreciation to the characters’ personalities and the entire prankster experience.
So since we get another pranks book by sunniva dee I decided to read again and I enjoyed I think as much or more than the first time..this is what I had written.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..This book was fun and hilarious.. Yes some things were silly but these guys were young. Kitty is new in blossom house and fits right in with the pranks that she helps pull at the guys across the street. Little did she know that Lucian, guy from across the street is also a stripper by night and when these two get together it is forbidden since they are rivals but they can’t fight with love and chemistry.
I loved everything about this book, the MC and SC were fantastic. Now onto the next book in the series, you don’t have to wait it’s out now.
Hilarious!!
It was like reliving the college years! Very fun. Funny, sweet, steamy…and makes me glad I’m not surrounded by pranksters now!
A Rom Com about the goings on in the houses of college men and women while busy trying to out prank each other and enjoying each others company. Adult content. Some interesting characters. I purchased this copy and I am providing an honest review.
This is a cute college comedy / romance. Two college house – across the street from each other play pranks on each other, one side then the other side going back and forth with each other.
The Dudes – IOTA #427, is a male frat household and the other, The Blossoms #426, is an all female household. They two houses have been doing pranks against each other for a few years now. At first they had rules like not dating each other, no males can spend the night at the Blossoms. But, rules are being crossed, not by just one, but a few parties.
Kitty, who is a animal science major, is a new transfer student and a new Blossom. She is usually quite / reserved, until she gets alcohol in her. Once she has a few drinks in her, she has more courage and is more open and flirty. Of course after a few drinks is when she and Lucian get together.
Lucian, is also a stripper, he gets daily chastising about being a stripper of course. Lucian knows Kitty volunteers at one of the local animal shelters. He also begins volunteering on the same nights she’s there of course.
Kitty and Lucian fall for each other. At first it’s just glances at each other, then, it’s Kitty walking out of his house to hers early in the morning so her roommates don’t see her.
The two houses try to put their prankings aside when Kitty finds out the shelter needs $80,000 for a new cat shelter that the city is no longer able to fund.
Will the two houses be able to resist pranking to help the shelter? Surely with over two dozen people in the combined homes they will be able to come up with a plan to send to City Hall.
Will Kitty and Lucian work out? Or will his love them and leave them attitude go toward Kitty. What will the houses say if they realize they are serious about each other?
I received a copy from the Author. I am freely leaving a review of my own.
Sorority/Fraternity Wars and Hawt Sexy Times
Sunniva Dee has always grabbed my attention with her amazing stories and characters. Love By Pranks is no different. But it is different from her other works. Different is the best possible way. I once described Sunniva’s writing as “Not Cotton Candy Romance”. Love By Pranks is the Cotton Candy. Sweet and funny, witty and hawt. Get on the bandwagon and dive into this book. You know you want to!
Love by Pranks is funny, sexy and oh so entertaining . The Blossoms and the Dudes have long been in a war of practical jokes . They go to the same college and live on the same street which of course makes these high jinx’s so frequent and funny. Now Kitty is a new gal in the sorority and the moment that she lays her eyes on Lucian she knows that she should stay clear but she can’t . Lucian is well aware that he should not befriend a blossom but Kitty is irresistible . Loved their fast paced instant attraction that was like a romance whirlwind !!!

This book was so funny. The Blossoms and The Dudes have been in a prank war for a long time. Lucian and Kitty are supposed to be enemies but find themselves in a secret relationship. The non stop pranks were funny. The two houses came together for a good cause. Will Kitty and Lucian be able to make things work? A good funny read.
I received an arc and am leaving a review.
This book was good for my soul and such a fabulous fun witty read. I really enjoyed this book and felt like it was just good for my soul and the perfect escape..
My Review
4.5 stars!
One of the first things that drew me to Sunniva and her writing was her witty and dry sense of humor. I get it, and I love it! This book had the humor you see scattered in her other books times a hundred. This is different than any other book she has written, and it worked. She used her humor and ran. I found myself laughing out loud, cringing at the pranks and just thoroughly enjoying seeing this couple try to make it work through it all.
What happens when you fall for your house enemies? The Dudes against The Blossoms live right across from each other and have a long time rival, a rival of pranks.
“One, there is never any doubt whodunnit.”
“Two, it’s all about not losing face.”
“Three, the time between pranks can be short or long.”
Lucian (H) is a swoony character, but down to earth and funny. Kitty (h) I found myself relating to so much, her inner dialogue are things I’ve said in my head.
They were both such likable characters when they weren’t planning revenge against the other…but really they were, and I love how they all come together to help out the animal shelter and put the pranks aside. These crazy neighbors also come up with some pretty fun ideas to raise money and reading the ideas play out was so entertaining.
Sunniva has you questioning Lucian’s past right until the end, and even that was some pretty funny stuff.
“Oh man, what if he’s not the guy I thought he was? What if he’s actually boyfriend material?”
I’m so excited to read more of these wacky characters and see who will be our next pranks to lovers!!
Sunniva Dee really knows how to draw you into the story and make you fall in love with the characters. This was a rom-com and it had me laughing out loud several times and getting funny looks from the people around me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m hoping for more in the near future. I highly recommend reading it, if you are in the mood for a fun light-hearted read with some intensely hot moments.
It’s a fun and entertaining book. You will be hooked from the beginning. You will fall in love with the characters. I loved the connection and banter. I loved the storyline. It’s definitely an entertaining read and will not disappoint.
Kitty has no idea what she signed up for when she moves into the Blossom house. No idea that her Blossom housemates are in a prank war with the Dudes. She gets caught up in the pranks and before she knows it, she can’t help but be a little attracted to Lucian, the hottie student/stripper that also has his eyes on her. But their friends are rivals, so they must keep whatever is happening between them a secret. An entertaining, light-hearted rom-com with fantastic friends that keeps the fun going. Looking forward to the next book!
