Rediscover this sweet, classic romance by one of today’s most popular storytellers, #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber! Ellen Cunningham is happy to play housemother for three younger college boys–it’s helping her keep the rent affordable while she’s back at school herself, pursuing her dream of becoming an school teacher. Besides, she’s used to caring for her younger … younger siblings, and some instincts never go away.
But then the house’s owner returns, and Reed Morgan is not impressed with the situation, especially because he never agreed to let his younger brother rent out the rooms. Reed finds Ellen’s presence particularly problematic… perhaps because he likes her more than he’s willing to admit.

This book is sappy and predictable, as in many of Macomber’s early books, but I like that! It’s comforting, and not challenging, but sweet, with a happy ending. Sometimes that’s just right!
This was a cute story about a young woman who got started on her college career a little later than usual and found an unusual way to help with the finances. The characters are likeable and, it was a quick read.
I love all of Debbie’s books. This was both humorous and romantic with a little edge to it (the “nearly” fiancé). It ended with an HEA. Very clean book but also very entertaining.
Debbie Macomber consistently draws likable characters & does so again in this book. She also includes humor in the characters. Is the happily ever after predictable? Of course. But it’s still fun getting there.
Debbie Macomber is always an enjoyable, easy to read book that seems very realistic. The characters are always interesting and the outcome is usually pleasant. I often wish the book would last a little longer.
A sweet romantic escape from the cares of the world!
This book is exactly what you’d expect from Debbie Macomber and as per usual she delivers relatable characters with a HEA guaranteed to make your heart melt.

Very funny & interesting book. It kept me turning the pages.
Very entertaining
Great
Boring, shallow, a waste of my time. My first and Last McComber. Completely beyond me why she is apparently so popular.
Great read as all Debbie Macomber books have been!!
Enjoyed this book.
Deborah Macomber’s books never disappoint, and this book was no exception. Very enjoyable reading!
