Sometimes the love we need the most is that which we give to ourselves. With a thriving physical therapy practice, it’s easy for Allanah to lose herself in her work. But when the sudden death of her best friend sends her reeling, she is forced to rethink her priorities. Guilted into a blind date by her best friend’s widower, she never suspects for a moment how much one meal will change her life. … much one meal will change her life. Quickly romanced by the handsome Scot, Allanah easily lets him into her life. But as her feelings grow, so does her fear. For her new love holds a secret. One she knows she must learn before she can ever really know him.
Plagued by his past, Ross knows that he will never love another again. But when a date he never wanted takes him by surprise, his plans for his life take a turn. It doesn’t take long for the lass to soften his scarred heart, but as new love blossoms, so do the memories of his past. Desperate to hold on to her, Ross vows to keep his secret from her, unaware of how much she already sees.
Will Allanah’s love be enough to make Ross trust her? Will Ross’ past remain in the past? Or will history repeat itself, causing them both to lose yet another person they love?

Great series! More?
Bethany Claire is an author I follow closely as her stories are very intriguing. Any day you want to be swept away out of your reality, pick up a Bethany Claire book. You’ll meet strong women and compassionate men and take you to world when life was slower but not necessarily easier. While the time span for the characters is vast the problems they face is similar. People want to believe, to trust and to be loved. In Love Beyond Boundaries Allanah is reluctant to start a new relationship with any man after being burned by her best friend’s brother. Ross is from the past and his homeland is Scotland. He escaped to the current time trying to out run his mistakes. When Ross and Allanah meet, the connection is immediate. But will Allanah give Ross a chance or has she hardened her heart? Will Ross be able to overcome his self-loathing and give his heart to Allanah?
If you heart is calling for a little bit of magic, pick up Love Beyond Boundaries Bethany Claire’s latest book in the Morna’s Legacy Series.
The publisher provided a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
in this most recent book a twist from the norm, Ross time traveled to the future. He left behind Silva and his past seeking the future. With help from Lauren he has a place to live and money to live on. He meets Beth and Caleb who help him adjust to the future. He becomes the full-time handyman in the apartment building Beth and Caleb own. Just as things seem to be settling down he is thrown a curveball when Beth is killed. Trying to overcome her death he agrees to go on a blind date with Beth’s best friend Allanah.
Can Ross learn to forgive himself for his past and allow himself to love Allanah? Can Allanah see past his past mistakes and love the man he has become? It all comes to a head when Ross and Allanah travel back in time as Ross’s mother is dying. A must read and real page turner till the end.
This story is the next in the Morna’s Legacy Series. Bethany Claire writes believable characters who can time travel. This is about Ross from the previous book. Even though he wasn’t a really likeable person before, he is now as he works through what he did before. He’s now living in the present but hasn’t forgiven himself for what he’s done in the past even though everyone else has. He doesn’t believe that he is worthy of loving. Even so, he goes on a blind date that a mutual friend set up before she tragically passed away. As they get to know each other, Ross is hesitant to tell Allanah about his time travel and the reason he’s in the present day. Allanah agrees to go to Scotland with Ross since his mother is dying. Morna works her magic to allow Allanah to understand the time traveling. Allanah agrees to travel back in time to see Ross’ mother before she dies. What will happen when Ross fears the worst that Allanah finds out about what he did in the past? Will Ross be able to overcome his self-loathing to see that Allanah is worth the risk and will Allanah be able to forgive Ross for not telling her the truth? I couldn’t put the book down and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
Ross and Allanah’s story makes both of them open to what could be.
Ross is stuck in his guilt of what he did before he came to Boston. He doesn’t feel like he is worthy of being loved because he keeps holding onto his shame of how he left Scotland.
Allanah is happy with her life, she worked hard to be where she is but she is lonely. When she is set up with Ross on a blind date, she can’t imagine the adventure she will be involved in.
Ross and Allanah’s story is a refreshing love story set mostly in the 21st century. Although many of Bethany Claire’s stories center around time travel and Morna’s magic, a great deal of this story is about love that blooms because of real life experiences and encounters. The way Ross and Alannah’s story is woven into many other characters stories is engaging and page-turning!
Of course there IS some time travel and magic, but the love story is not contingent on it.
Knowing the other characters that come and go (Morna, Silva, Sydney, and others at Cagair Castle…present time and 17th century) is nice, but does not seem completely necessary in this story.
Worth the wait! The next installment in Morna’s series does not disappoint. This one is slightly different as it takes place mostly in the current century, but we get to visit the past and some of our favorite characters. Ross and Allanah’s story was well developed and their HEA was much deserved. I loved the short recap at the beginning to remind us of where the series left off. This is a must read series to time travel enthusiasts!
I was very happy when this latest book was finally released. I had been hoping we would find out more about Ross and how he was dealing living in the present without any of his magic. Ross and Allanah’s story is often painful because of the heartaches they suffer losing people they love, but they find solace in each other and a reason to let themselves love and trust again. If you haven’t read the rest of this series, check it out! Scotland, time travel, romance, what’s not to love?
I enjoyed this installment of the Morna’s Legacy Series. I was happy when we heard that Bethany Claire was going to give us the rest of Ross’ story. Ross is a man from the past living in present day Boston. He carries a lot of emotional baggage and does not forgive himself the sins of his past. After suffering the loss of a dear friend he meets a woman that he could spend the rest of his life with. The characters in this story are strong and easy to relate to. I’m always sad to get to the end of the book and anxiously await the next book.
This book revolves around Ross and Allanah (a.k.a. Sue). In a twist to prior books they find each other in the present day and travel to the past. The author has created very believable and endearing characters that I wish I could spend even more time with.
