In hindsight, maybe I should have known my biggest nemesis would end up locking up my heart.Believe it or not, running a fertility clinic in Auburn Hill, located right next to a prison, isn’t the worst thing. Nope, the worst thing is the infuriatingly sexy warden of the new prison – who doesn’t care that his newly-released inmates are stopping by my clinic on their way out of town to make a … clinic on their way out of town to make a “deposit” for some quick cash. Sure, it’s his circus, but according to him, those clowns aren’t his responsibility once they walk out the door.
Until one of them pulls a gun on me in a desperate robbery attempt and I realize I have to be a little more…ahem…persuasive with the warden. Stumbling upon him in a compromising position is just the leverage I need, and I’m not above a little blackmail. Turns out, he’s not above pushing me up against the door and kissing the hell out of me either.
Adding in ex-lovers, magical goats, scheming mayors, gossiping mail carriers, a man-hating mother, and nonstop seagull shenanigans makes me realize one thing.
Don’t bank on love developing here in Auburn Hell.
Love Bank is a laugh out loud small town RomCom featuring a prison warden who barks orders and a bumbling business woman with more sass than sense. Love Bank is book one in the Jobs From Hell series.

This story brightened my week!!! It’s refreshing, unique and laugh out loud funny. Bain and Lucille are a match made in heaven and their hatred for one another makes this story hotter. From start to finish you won’t be able to put this down. Love the stories this author puts together and cannot wait for the next in this series.
This is the 1st in a new series from this truly gifted author, and my word, Lucy and Bain are fantastic characters. This story is hilarious and refreshingly unique and with off the chart’s chemistry. This is a well written flawless story which is humorous and steamy and with crazy shenanigans. I cannot tell you how much I love this authors’ work, and I highly recommend for all readers.
This story had me laughing out loud quite abit throughout the whole thing. It’s not a storyline I have read before and I loved it. I was kept interested in the story and the characters. Its very well written and easy to read. A very enjoyable, laugh out loud story.
This was such an enjoyable read. I thought that this book had a very fresh feeling to it. After all, how many books have you read that feature a blossoming romance between a sperm bank owner and a prison warden? You can expect lots of laugh-out-loud moments, zany situations, drama, emotions and small own charm from this book. I thought that the main characters were great. Plenty of sparks and witty banner are flying around as Lucille and Bain’s relationship evolves from battling enemies to passionate lovers. An intriguing cast of secondary characters will have you eagerly anticipating more entries in this series. Add in a bevy of animal antics that are like adding whipped cream to your cocoa. It might not be necessary but it makes it better anyway, right?
Oh my goodness! This book was hilarious! Full of all the laugh out loud moments, fantastic one liners and a new crazy town to fall in love with Lucille and Bain and their shenanigans will have you smiling and swooning as they go on one heck of a wild ride to finding their happily ever after. I honestly could not get enough of these two and this wonderful new cast of crazy characters! So GOOD! Love Bank was such a feel good read and I’m super excited to see what’s next in Auburn Hill Hell.
A cute and funny small town story about a woman who owns a sperm back and the warden of the new prison…. right next to her clinic. What could possibly go wrong with that? Um just about everything! The possibilities of this are endless! Good book to pick up for some light reading that will make you giggle.
Loved this book! Marika Ray has delivered another wonderful, very sexy, rom-com read with Love Bank. A fertility clinic, a cat society home, a prison, and all in a small town. These are the ingredients for a laugh out loud read about Lucy and Bain. What starts off as a little bit of challenge ends up being a swoon worthy love tale. These two characters plus the additional towns folk and the cats and the special birds all make this story the best that it is. So, if you are looking for a sexy rom-com read then stop and read Love Bank! Well worth it!
What an adorable story. Lucille is so buttoned up that it was fun watching her morph into a different character even if she runs a fertility clinic. Warden Bain is just enough alpha to have swoony grand gestures and Lucy makes him want to do things he normally doesn’t do. The story and antics are hilarious, I definitely laughed out loud on several occasions. The Sea Caves are legendary and Bain just wants to get Lucy inside one. Small town living isn’t for the faint of h
What do you get when you cross a stuffy sperm bank owner with a hard laced prison warden? A perfect match made in hell. This book and all its craziness was fun, a little quirky at times, but still fun.
Lucille “Lucy” was stiff, lonely, and feeling empty until she comes across the biggest reality dream imaginable. That first unofficial meeting of Bain, along with the goat from the wedding, strike up a series of events that completely change Lucy’s life. I liked Lucy, though I also felt for her. Her mom made me mad (though she did redeem herself in the end). Why the hell is she pushing her opinions on her susceptible young daughter. That’s not the right way to raise a young woman. I loved her friends as well. They were just so wonderful to open their arms for Lucy without running away and laughing at her.
Bain was a bit of an irritant at first. He was new in town. There to run the newly built prison. His thought process about finding someone to help him get laid was irritating. I can say I’m glad he didn’t sleep with any of Lucy’s new friends. I’m glad he stopped fighting the pull toward Lucy. I’m glad they both did. I love watching a man fall and realize that he had found an amazing woman. I wish we had learned more about the prison breaks. He was trying his best just for it not to be the best.
This was a pretty decent book that had me laughing at times and shaking my head at the rest. I really enjoyed it. Oh and I have a guess as to who Lucy’s dad is… bring on some more books set in hell! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
I absolutey loved this book and found it to be hilarious, I laughed so much reading this book. A small town with a sperm bank and a prison lol what more could it need. This author definitely knows how to write a story and pull you in from the first paragraph. I would certainly recommend this awesome read to everyone. I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book and this is my honest review

“Love Bank” is a funny, laugh out loud story featuring a feisty nurse practitioner who falls for a sexy and virile prison warden. From the first page of this hilarious book, I was entertained by Lucy, Bain, and the quirky community members that made up Auburn Hill. I laughed along with all of them while they gossiped, stalked and insinuated themselves in each other’s business. The small town gossip machine was running overtime and it was hard to keep anything secret.
Lucy was an astute businesswoman who used her medical knowledge and expertise to open her clinic. Having a prison as her new neighbor was full of bad karma, but she made the best of it until she met the new warden, who became the bane of her existence. His rugged good looks took her breath away and she knew that her life would never be the same. Bain Sutter was thrilled to be out of the big city, and he was glad he accepted the position at the brand new prison. The small town life was what he wanted now and he hoped he could get used to the nosey residents who kept trying to run his life and set him up with dates. He wouldn’t mind getting to know his neighbor Lucy, but she was a hard nut to crack and he may need to come up with a few tricks of his own, to give her a taste of her own medicine.
Marika Ray has written a fun entertaining romantic comedy with “Love Bank”.
I was literally laughing at loud more than a few times!
There were some steamy scenes in here as well that were sexy but well written.
I have read quite a few of of her books and they are all great.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.
I love Lucy….and Bain! Bain is a hot warden and Lucy is a nurse practitioner running a fertility clinic. There’s lots of witty banter, shenanigans and steamy scenes. One of my favorite moments in the book was Lucy finding her tribe and herself….gotta love girlfriends! Marika Ray has a lot of strong characters in this book who hopefully will have their own stories some day. 5Stars!
