With a hit song sitting at number one on the country music charts, Gavin McNeer thought he finally had everything he ever wanted. All it takes is one look from the mesmerizing woman sitting in the front row at one of his shows and a brief encounter to make him realize just what he’s been missing. Even though he’s been burnt in the past, Gavin puts his inhibitions aside and his heart on the line to … line to earn the trust of the woman who could be his everything.

That is until she meets Gavin, a man who changes everything with one smoldering look.
Just when these two begin to settle into their new relationship, Aly is asked to do something that may require her to choose between the career she’s building and the man she’s falling in love with. To make things worse, Gavin’s ex decides to add a touch of drama to an already delicate situation.
Will their love survive, or become just another sad love song?

3.75-4 stars. This was a good book! Love at the Bluebird is Aly and Gavin’s story. Gavin is an up and coming country music singer. Aly is a music producer’s assistant. They meet at the famous Nashville music cafe, The Bluebird. Gavin is performing and sees Aly across the room. He is smitten and pursues her. Aly is a little unsure because she knows male musicians have reputations as manwhores, but she soon sees that Gavin is different and only has eyes for her. Love ensues!
I enjoyed this story a lot. Gavin and Aly were a great couple. Very sweet and sexy! Gavin is perfect and adores Aly right away. She is super sweet, too. I liked that there was a little instalove, but in a way that was a little different that usual ARR books. There is some drama, so it’s not too bland, but not too much. Gavin has a crazy ex (that he hates now), who tries to cause issues, but it turned out okay and didn’t bother me. It’s still a fun, easy read. I also really liked the cool Nashville music-industry setting. There was some fun side characters that I would like to see get books too.
Overall, Love at the Bluebird is a fun, sweet, sexy, easy read. Aly and Gavin were adorable together. I enjoyed this book and look forward to more from Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin.
4.5 stars
This was my first Jessica Marrin book and its no secret I love ARR. Once I started this book I was completely hooked, their writing together was flawless and I have no clue who wrote what part.
This book was filled with heat, chemistry, sweet and some serious swooning. The connection between Gavin and Alyson was instant and so electric. They were destined soul-mates, they just fit together so seamlessly. AAR famous BOOM was in full effect <3
I highly recommend you read this beauty as you will love every word.
I really enjoyed this fun, insta-love read. Gavin and Aly had such great chemistry and I loved the banter between all the characters. Love at the Bluebird was an easy, quick read for me and I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a light, low-drama story with some steam
~~ 4.5 DAZZLING STARS! ~~
“Gavin McNeer better be mine to keep for the rest of my life, because he’s completely ruined me for anyone else.”
LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD had me hooting and hollering and stomping my feet like a star-stuck fangirl! I have been an admirer of Aurora Rose Reynolds for a long time but this is my first read by Jessica Marin and I must stay that this collaboration was absolutely STUPENDOUS! The heroine of this book may be familiar to some readers because Aly appeared as a secondary character in UNTIL VALERIE by Ms. Marin, part of the Kindle Worlds: Happily Ever Alpha series. But I did not read that book and can fully attest that this story works as a complete standalone!
PREMISE:
23-year-old Alyson Dawson has finally landed her dream job as an assistant for a record label in Nashville. She is very driven and ambitious and has made her career her main focus which means that dating and a social life have taken a major backseat. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will she ever become romantically entangled with someone in the music industry. But all that changes when she locks eyes with Gavin McNeer one night while catching his star-studded performance at the Bluebird Café!
Gavin is a talented songwriter who has just dropped his first single which has catapulting his career to meteoric heights. However, this new heartthrob of country music recently endured a bad breakup and is rather jaded in matters of the heart. But the vision before him in the crowd literally takes his breath away. Gavin HAS to know this exuberant beauty at all costs. And while Aly at first is a bit gun-shy, their magnetic attraction cannot be denied, and they quickly fall under each other’s spell. Before they know it, Gavin and Aly are both swept up in a whirlwind love affair, but their passionate union comes with a set of obstacles that neither envisioned. Will they risk everything to make beautiful music together or are they doomed to be a one hit wonder?
MY MUSINGS:
Oh be still my crazily beating heart! LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD had me hooked from start to finish! Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin’s styles were in sync like a finely tuned guitar and I was TOTALLY enraptured by this musical-themed romance!
This sweet, sexy and utterly spellbinding insta-love tale truly contained everything I dream of in a captivating novel —a beautifully crafted plot, engaging writing, vibrant, endearing protagonists, blistering passion, charm, wit and juicy melodrama galore!
Holy effing swoon! Our hero, Gavin, is a drop-dead gorgeous heartthrob made in storybook heaven! He is tall, strappingly handsome, gentlemanly to the core, speaks with a sexy Texan drawl …and is 100% TAKE CHARGE ALPHA! This country crooner has been hurt in love before and was NOT in the market for love but gah it’s like lightning struck when he met Aly. I swear the way he pursues the gal of his dreams made me weak in the knees and had my pulse racing! He is SO enamored with and protective of his girl that it was just such a glorious thing to behold.
As for Aly, what a doll who is fully worthy of his unbridled devotion! She’s beautiful , sweet, vivacious, and so driven and spirited. And I really dug the fact that this heroine is real and relatable, a hopeless optimist, and radiates warmth and happiness. While at first she has a bit of a moral dilemma about getting entangled with this charismatic country sensation, her trepidation proves to be no match for this man who stakes a claim on her heart! And after one toe curling kiss, walking away is no longer an option!
Sighhh..these two are just so FREAKING ADORABLE together I couldn’t stop smiling ! Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and their emotional connection is equally electrifying! Granted they fall for each other hard and fast but I was totally invested in their romance and rooted for them every step of the way!
I think the authors also did a spectacular job with the Nashville musical biz storyline , and weaved in a spectacular set of colorful secondary characters into the mix which beautifully supplements the central romance. I especially liked how Aly and Gavin’s family and friends rally around them during some tumultuous times. And while these two have some definite bumps in the road enroute to the HEA—including devious outside influences, miscommunication, and some juicy music biz scandal which collectively threaten to sabotage their budding romance—ultimately the way their story plays out left me on cloud nine!
BOTTOM LINE:
LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD is a wildly addictive, scorching hot page turner that made my heart sing with glee!
A MUST READ!
What an amazing rollercoaster ride, I have read ARR books but JM was a bit newer to me, this duo certainly knows how to blow my mind, I am now a fan and will be looking for more of their books. This book got to me, it was so unexpected, I didn’t think it would go down that deep and Gavin McNeer and Alyson Dawson got to me. Definitely a book I will be recommending.
Love at The Bluebird is a sweet and steamy romance. A collaboration between Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin, this book is beautiful and glued to my Kindle.
Gavin McNeer is a country music singer and songwriter at the start of his career.
He meets Allyson Dawson, a PA for a record label and he’s captivated by her beauty.
Ally has a rule, she doesn’t date musicians.
But one look at the handsome Gavin singing at her and she’s mesmerized.
Loved Gavin and Ally’s story. Sweet, light and very sexy, just how I like my books to be.
My Rating: STARS!!
Love at The Bluebird is an easy to read, sweet, insta-love, low drama romance.
“I don’t know; there’s something about him, and my heart is telling me to give him a chance.”
Aly Dawson is focused on building her career but can’t seem to fight the immediate attraction to one particular swoony musician. It’s a case of love at first sight for singer Gavin McNeer.
“Her hold over me in such a short amount of time is more powerful than any other woman I’ve had in my life.”
This was just the type of book I needed right now… sweet, swoony, low angst.
-4 Stars!-
Love At The Bluebird is a sweet and sexy story featuring a country music star and record company assistant.
Neither Gavin or Alyson are looking for a relationship but their immediate connection and undeniable chemistry oozes from the page.
Gavin is a singer and songwriter who is not afraid to go after what he wants. He’s romantic, intense and attentive and not afraid to show his feelings. Alyson is kind, caring and loyal.
This was my first time reading Jessica Marin’s work and I doubt it will be my last. I’m already intrigued by the side characters that appeared in this title and hope to read their stories when times permits.
I was so excited to catch up with Aly after hearing about her in Until Valerie! Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin teamed up and wrote an exceptional book regarding insta-love, fame, and how others will not determine how a relationship will evolve. This book is a must read and will leave you with a goofy grin and a heart full of love.
I loved everything about this enthralling story. Gavin and Aly are perfect together and I loved reading their story. They are down to earth, easy to relate to and have smoking chemistry. I also enjoyed reading about the country music industry and all the behind the sciences machinations. Perfection!
Well it’s honestly no surprise how much I loved that book. It was classic Aurora Rose Reynolds with a musical twist. Not to take away from Jessica Marin because she just became an author for me to stalk after reading the magic these two created together.
Gavin was everything I expect from a leading man from Boom Publishing. He had jealous and possessive down. And I loved that he went out of his way to make Aly feel special and to let her know he was thinking about her. Along with his very public declarations to make sure she and everyone else knew he was all in.
But Aly was perfection on her own. She trusted how she felt about Gavin and she went with it. And even when things weren’t going well she took a step back and thought it through and trusted in what she believed and felt. I loved that about her. Yeah she was upset and she went off to regroup but she didn’t blow things out of proportion or automatically assume that everything was as it seemed. She just sat back and processed it.
Naturally the chemistry was burning off the pages. I felt their connection and I loved the fact they didn’t pay attention to anyone else’s thoughts on how they should feel or act. They were so great together, I inhaled this book and now I just wish I could read it for the first time all over again.
Love at the Bluebird is a story that will serenade your heart and have your soul enchanted by the rhythm of love. Gavin and Aly have that moment, you know the one, the one where your skin tingles, your pulse races and you feel the BOOM from the immense connection right down to your toes. As these two try to understand the passion and the tremendous pull that they have for each other, fame, greed and jealousy will do its best to prevent these two from their happily ever after. As the heat these two produce boils off the pages you will feel the chemistry, love and the happiness that these two emit from just one glance. A beautiful love story that will own your heart and soul and will have you hoping for an encore performance.
Always love a music industry storyline! With Gavin being new to the music industry and already feeling jaded, he has learned a lot about the industry and the people within it. At his latest gig, he sees Alyson and without knowing anything about her feels this magnetic pull to her that he can’t let her go without meeting her. With Alyson’s job in the music industry, she knows the type of people out there and has vowed to never date someone involved with it, but after meeting Gavin she can’t help herself because of the pull they have. The pair work through a few rocky situations, such as Alyson working for a different label than Gavin is signed with as well as his insane travel schedule, but they seem to make it work until the people in the industry play their part and cause problems for the couple. It made me want to jump into the book and shake Gavin for the assumptions and misunderstanding, and my heart truly felt for Alyson, especially after it sparks her decision to make some big life changes. Thankfully, they have friends that rally around them and work to bring them back together and I’m so happy they were able come out on the other side of the industry’s drama.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was a sweet, low angst, insta-love read! Gavin and Aly are smitten from across the room, and we get to be with them as they get to know each other, and the sparks fly between them! Sexiness, and a few bumps in the road, pave the way to their HEA. We also get a sneak peek at a Mayson lady and her forever BOOM!
Love at the Bluebird is the first book by both of these talented authors that I have read. I loved reading and following Alyson and Gavin’s story. With the added hints of possible stories with Alyson’s sister and best friend, I am looking forward to reading more from both Aurora Rose and Jessica Marin.
Love at the Bluebird by Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin is the story of Aly Dawson and Gavin McNeer.
This was such a beautifully written insta-love romance read that hits all the feels and heat and heart. Not to say there isn’t drama and angst that will, at one point, bring Aly and Gavin to the breaking point. Will they risk the trust that they built together or will the pressure rip them apart?
Such a lovely story with heart, heat, chemistry and connection. Ms Reynolds and Ms. Marin co wrote a fabulous story that tells the story and brings the readers into the storytelling, drawing them in. I enjoyed the characters, plot, scenery and romance. Look forward to more from them.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ********
Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my automatic 1-click authors! I will read absolutely anything she writes but Jessica Marin is a new to me author and I just adored these two as a writing duo. Their writing is flawless, easy to read and pulls you in instantly. I was immediately invested in these characters and their story. Gavin and Aly meet and their connection is instant. I loved them so much and couldn’t get enough.
Gavin is the ultimate musician heart throb who make all the girls swoon but when he meets Aly there is something different about her that he is drawn to immediately. He has all the characteristics that I look for, sweet, sexy, swoony. He has it all.
Aly is a force. She is driven and successful in her career not letting herself loose focus on her goals. She is also super bubbly and cheerful. She is full of positivity and light and I adored that about her.
There is a touch of drama but not over the top or over done. Overall I enjoyed this quick paced, insta love story and recommend reading it. 4 stars!
*ARC received in exchange of an honest review*
Aurora and Jessica make beautiful music together with this story and I hope they co-write more in the future. Love At The Blue Bird is a sweet and sexy story that will capture your heart and make you wish had your own music man. Gavin is a gorgeous soul who doesn’t let the business change who he is. He can write love songs for me any day. Aly is fun and beautiful, but I also adore how laid back and low maintenance she is. These two bring devotion to a whole other level and I couldn’t get enough of them. You need to read this book for the game, the restraining order, Shane, New Years Eve and the concert alone. This story is a delightful blend of passion and love that will leave a fantastic melody playing in your heart!

Sweet and Sexy
Gavin is a famous songwriter who has now stepped in front of the microphone and is becoming a famous singer in his own right. It’s a night performing at the Bluebird Cafe that takes his life by the tail when he locks eyes with the beautiful Alyson. Alyson works for a small time record company and had always sworn off musicians…that is until Gavin.
On my gosh, this book is sweet without being too sweet. It’s nice to see that good people can have as much chemistry and steam as anybody else!! It’s a love at first sight book that had me believing in happily everafters. I highly recommend this book!
I know my rating says 5 stars but it’s really 4.7 because, reasons.
I absolutely adore an insta romance story that delivers on romance! That may not make sense LOL Maybe this will … when Alyson and Gavin both laid eyes on each other it was instant chemistry for them both but we didn’t just get an insta plot, we got a heartfelt journey! It was glorious! I’ve read very little Aurora books and none by Jessica, so I don’t have a benchmark for either author, but this story impressed me. It’s a laid back, easy story that will make your heart sing! The conflict was a bit predictable to me but I was just so happy with both Gavin and Aly as characters that I didn’t care LOL Well done ladies!!!
Buuuuuuut ….. I’m putting this next part of my review as a spoiler, not because it spoils anything, but because if you don’t want to read my rant about something no one but me probably cares about, then don’t read it LOL (view spoiler: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3120646901)
